CHAPTER 13

At the end of the month, Keiina gets one day off that can be joined by Saturday and Sunday to be able to go home to her area. Keiina packed up as she could because she would be back in town next week.

Keiina boarded a public bus and took four hours to travel. Keiina deliberately did not tell Adelia because she wanted to surprise her.

Ryu who felt himself to be the topic of conversation immediately stood up from his seat. "Good day, Auntie." Greet Ryu politely and extend his hand.

"Jiang." Adelia answered kindly and shook Ryu's hand back.

"Hem, introduce me Ryuga, and Keiina is one of the training employees at my family-owned company. And I also happen to be here two weeks in the area to hold the clinic here." Said Ryu. "We just happened to meet in front." The impression explains again.

"Call Mama can too." Said Adelia teasing and nudging Keiina's arm.

"Mama.." Keiina said with a shamelessness.

Adelia leaves Keiina and Ryu to get Ryu cake and drinks.

"Your mama's cool." Said Ryu.

"Mama is friendly with everyone." Reply Keiina.

"It looks like I've got the green light." Ryu smiled triumphantly.

"What green light?" Keiina asked confusedly.

"Calling your mother Mama, the sign Your mother accepted me as her daughter-in-law." Said Ryu confidently.

Keiina was speechless, yet still had a faint smile on her face. "Don't like me, Mum. What else is it to think of being my lover." Keiina said with blank eyes.

"Why?" Ask Ryu.

"I don't trust any man and I'm not going to make any commitments to anyone." Keiina Lirih.

"You're still traumatized by your first love? What did he do to you that traumatized you?" Ryu asked curiously and assumed that Keiina was a foolish girl just because of experiencing the failure of first love.

Adelia comes to give a lemon cake and a cup of coffee to Ryu. "Please enjoy, doc. Sorry I can't accompany." Adelia said because that day happened to be a cake shop very crowded visited.

Ryu nodded and smiled at Adelia.

"He hurt my mother." Keiina said in the end after seeing Adelia leave their table.

Ryu scrunched his forehead a sign of not understanding.

Keiina smiled faintly, "Isn't a woman's first love her own father?" Keiina asked with a look that could not be separated from paying attention to Adelia. "My father threw away Mama and me just for the sake of another woman." Keiina said again. "Even I don't recognize what my Papa looks like." Keiina sighed for a moment. "Mama worked to die to live me, I just want to make Mama happy. I don't want to get married and share my time with a man who doesn't necessarily age with me."

There is an unpleasant feeling in Ryu because he has considered Keiina who does not.

"I won't open my heart to any man, I will fortify myself from a man's false love." Keiina said.

Ryu recalled Keiina's words a while ago. "You said you had a brother? Where's she?" Ryu asked to know.

"He's coming with my dad." Keiina replied smiling bitterly.

Ryu tried to divert the conversation, he would still approach Keiina in his own way.

Ryu eats Adelia's lemon cake. "Hemm is really good." Ryu said in praise. "Key has to try." Mumbled Ryu.

"Did Mr Key like lemon cake so much?" Keiina asked to know.

Ryu nodded, "Every cake shop that sells lemon cake, he tasted it, but he said nothing is as good as Mama's."

"Of course, because our own mother's cake will certainly be second to none." Reply Keiina.

"Not really, the proof is that I like Mommy Nanda's brownie more than my Mama's." Ryu.

"Mas has two mothers?" Asked Keiina who did not understand.

"I called my Mama by Mama's call, and I called Mama's Sister-in-law by Mommy's call." Said explained.

"When are you back in town?" Ask Ryu.

"Sunday." Answer Keiina.

"Then just stay with me. Sunday I'm going to the city because on Monday I'm going to a seminar at the central hospital." Ryu.
