INCEPTIONS
Chapter 2's

Kenneth looked at the wooden wall hangings on the apartment wall. This apartment is well maintained even though only one person lives, it also becomes better because there are many items than before that look empty.

He glanced at the man younger than him who was devouring martabak. He smiled thinly. "You have less brother to you".

Kelvin, the man's name, grimaced a little. "Don't want to? I'll be full of it all".

Kenneth stunned. Satisfied as Kelvin opened his eyes.

That look. The innocent and warm gaze that had been present haunted his life, between feeling guilt and longing that had no end.

She recalled her only surviving sister and still asked for her protection.

Her sister is gone.

"How big are you going to be?". Little Kenneth asked his 4-year-old sister.

Kevin blinked innocently, before long he grimaced revealing a neat arrangement of teeth, looking at Kenneth with pleasure. "I want to be a sister forever".

Kenneth frowned feeling dissatisfied with the answer, he pinched his sister's cheek furiously. "But you're a big sister, forever a big sister".

"I want to stay with brother forever, let brother keep me if Kenzo's brother is naughty". Kevin won't lose.

Kenneth smiled happily, he hugged his sister tightly. It is as if it does not want to be separated, and will never be separated.

"sister". The voice awakened itself from the painful reality. Kelvin continued to watch over Kenneth who was daydreaming.

Kenneth raised his eyebrows.

"So don't really want to? I don't do it either, do it tomorrow?".

The young man did not respond, noticing Kelvin picking up the food crumbs and collecting the rest of the martabak into one.

Kenneth took a long breath. Reality slapped him back until he realized.

The one in front of him is not the real Kevin, not his brother Kevin. But Kelvin who has a look and similar nature to his sister.

He found Kelvin when the man was sprawled out in a narrow alley. With a dirty SMP uniform and a scarred forehead. Kelvin is helpless because he was bullied by his schoolmates.

Short story Junior High tells him that his friends make fun of him because he is an illegitimate child.

That's absolutely true. Kelvin was born without his parents' expectations, MBA. At home, Kelvin was always in Kasari and angered by his parents. No wonder if the first time he saw Kelvin was chaotic, Kelvin's eyes were like asking for protection from him. Apparently the boy had a major trauma, and it took him a long time to heal.

In the midst of the crash, Kenneth comes to offer protection. The man sincerely cared for and gave affection, just as he treated Kevin, his dead sister.

Their names are almost the same. That's what makes him love Kelvin so much, like he loves his younger brother.

"Nih drink, like brother's lack of fluids". Kelvin thrust out the mineral water and laughed.

Kenneth snorted, continued to receive the mineral water and chugged until barren.

Seeing that Kelvin widened his eyes. "It turns out that you're really lacking fluids?". Read it to Kenneth.

One thing that troubled him a little. The similar thing between Kelvin and Kevin is, they are equally chatty.

Kelvin often shows excessive concern for him. The man was too attentive.

As Kelvin sat back down beside him, he watched the plain face closely. "What is your school?".

Kelvin turned his head, then nodded slowly. "However, smoothly continue anyway".

Ever since he took Kelvin away from the first time they met. He moved Kelvin to a new school, not far from the apartment. The man also said that he had many good friends and did not bully him even though he firmly stated who he really was.

Kenneth was happy to know that. But there is a sense of worry itself when Kelvin is far from his reach, more precisely when he does not control the child.

The distance between the apartment and the house is also quite far. Once a day he had to see Kelvin. Because when he first set foot in this apartment, Kelvin lives alone until now.

"Nobody went home? It's malem loh". Said Kelvin who saw Kenneth daydreaming again.

Kenneth nodded, leaving the place. Kelvin endured it when he got to the door.

"Heart is heart". Kelvin waved his hand.

Kenneth nodded, the man left the apartment casually. In the apartment lobby he meets Darel, Kelvin's neighbor and friend. Darel is still wearing his school uniform, the boy is out fighting. He is well-known for Darel's behavior.

Darel greets. "Oh brother, are you here?".

Kenneth nodded with a faint smile. "Yes, look at that moment".

"It's me first".

Darel nodded, letting Kenneth go. That sweet and cute face was still paying attention to Kenneth's increasingly disappearing back. He also slightly pulled the corner of his lips.

"Best".

**

Kenneth opened the gate of the house, forwarding his car to the rear garage, away from the main garage commonly occupied by his family.

Today his house security guard is on leave, he also does not want to bother the house people to open the gate for him. No one wants to, except Kenzo. Mabe...

After making sure his car was safe in the garage, he opened the back door of the house. Directly connected to the back porch and kitchen and dining room.

Kenneth stared as he saw Fina standing in front of the refrigerator picking up a bottle of mineral water. The woman was not yet aware of her presence, she stepped out of the kitchen area to go to her room.

"Where are you?". Fina said, without seeing Kenneth who was on the first step of the stairs.

Kenneth's body froze, he lowered his face.

"You better stay away from Kenzo, I don't want my son to follow your rich wild".

Kenneth smiled curiously, he still did not dare to turn his body and look at Fina. Seeing Fina's hatred that whack every moment for her.

Fina placed the bottle of mineral water into the refrigerator, walking in the opposite direction to Kenneth. Without seeing his son's sad face, he spoke again.

"When you just got home at this hour, I'm sure you're not a good kid. Maybe you've been mabok often, or often wild races out there".

Kenneth stiffened, the sentence Fina uttered so piercingly at the center of his heart. Even when Fina left here, it felt like the cold voice was still lingering in her mind.

The man chose to walk into his room. In the room he looked back.

In times like this quiet always rained down on him, he was silent with various question marks.

Didn't know Fina that every day, the woman's rejection always hurt her mentally.

Didn't know Fina that when she was out at night, she was completely alone because she was exiled together deserted.

Didn't know Fina that her words were always an option for her, between having to stay and wait for her hope to be realized, or going with a wound that would never be healed.

Kenneth opened the shirt until he showed half his back. There is a skin rash that may be difficult to cure, used to be many years long when he was in a difficult position.

What his parents also know if every fight he did, to dampen their speech and the look of hatred that always ringed in his brain. Even until he is crazy, until he dies, the speech is not just a mere sentence but will become a story when he is faced with a fact.

He never cried, physically hurt. A man with disabilities and always a stranger like himself very much deserves a lot of injuries. Until the end he will never be able to shed tears, will never feel what is called pain.

And always straying in a bitter reality.
