Low 4: The City Under the Hill

I woke up when the warm rays of the morning sun hit my body. The leaves begin to lift after a night of rest when asleep. I've heard of it from my comrade in the world before who was a tree fairy or Dryad. He said if the tree also needs sleep, it is characterized by branches and leaves that droop during the night.

Information that I thought was useless at that time, but feeling that I was doing it myself makes me regret not listening to the words of my friend. “If I understood how a Treant was born and lived his life.”. Looking at the sun I felt so fresh in my first morning living in this world.

I stared at the city under the hill, a city so crowded filled with humans so busy. I noticed that the level of technology in this world was very different from the world I came from. In this world there is no energy at the core of all knowledge in my home world, which is Mana energy.

In this world they use petroleum coal and uranium as the main source of energy. In the world of origin, the three mining materials can be found, but Mana energy that is easily obtained is more popular than the three energy sources.

Safety and comfort issues are also another factor why people in the world of origin choose to use Mana energy. That was because Essential Mana could be obtained by filtering through the air or cultivating the monster core. Renewable energy sources without causing pollution and their safety is guaranteed.

However, the absence of Mana energy that makes the inhabitants of this earth far from the knowledge of magic, does not make human civilization in this world backward, Precisely they can be said to be superior.

One of them is a remote telecommunication device called Mobile, it has the same function as the Call magic in my world came from. But unlike magic that can only be mastered by witches, the device named mobile phone is sold freely and can be used by anyone, making the spread of information in this world so easy.

Then what I noticed next was mass transportation such as cars, motorcycles, electric trains and airplanes. All vehicles are generally enjoyed by certain circles in my world, but everyone can use them so freely in this world.

Looking back towards the city, I quickly found the answer I was looking for. The answer is clearly ‘peace’. A world so peaceful makes the economy run smoothly, those who have wealth and power are vying to innovate so that their lives are much easier.

‘Perhaps if my home world feels peace like in this world, I am sure the level of technology there will be better.’ I stared at the happy faces of some parts of the city, they looked so happy that they were worried about the threat of war from neighboring countries, like in my old world.

“Alright, it's time to adventure.” My soul slowly came out from within the plant. Floating like a ghost, I descended down towards the city. “What interesting things can I learn today?” My smile began to expand, “I was very curious.”

A city so big with so many different types of people in it and technology that I have never seen. A perfect place to explore.
