I Reincarnated As a Tree
Low 30: Radio Stations

[Note: Because the chapter then uses the Azlea point of view makes no mention that the current Avatar controlled by Azlea is named Leah]

Cars carried by the tsunami were scattered at the foot of the mountain. After a while of searching for fuel among the many cars, we got some oil jerry cans.

“I can only save as much as 30 kilograms.” I give a reason if my dimension storage has a limit even though it is actually just a lie.

“Nothing, can save that much alone already grateful.” Hesti was grateful for getting oil that was useful for powering the electricity generator in the refugee camp.

“True, the ability you have is indeed very practical.” Dedi was so interested in the skill item box I had.

After getting some oil jerry cans, we went back on our way.

Our group finally came out of the mountain region. Some Monsters immediately welcomed our arrival into the ruins of the city.

“Don't be too rowdy or we'll attract more monster attention.” I detected if there were at least fifty monsters within a range of three hundred meters. If we attract their attention then there will be troublesome problems.

This group of five people could indeed defeat the waves of monsters that could come if it made a fuss, but the problem is that we are currently far from being displaced. None of us wanted to go home early due to exhaustion after fighting the monsters.

So our choice was to explore the ruins of the city in secret.

“Building in front there are only 5 monsters, we can make it base camp after cleaning it.” Aky pointed at a five-story building right in front of the entrance of the Sacred Mountain.

Following my directions, everyone entered the building silently. April as an Assassin was so dependable in the clearing of buildings from monsters because she had the [Stealth] skill.

Two goblins on the ground floor, April killed them without any difficulty. While three zombies were on the roof, maybe they were city dwellers trying to evacuate.

April quickly attacked one zombie, while the four of us attacked the other using arrows. The hearing of the undead made no one dare to approach more than five meters away from the zombie position without any special abilities.

But April [Stealth] ability seems to make the zombies unable to detect its existence.

“Mati!.” Using April's [back stab] skill stabs a zombie wide from behind. Zombies screaming at the moment of his death makes the other two zombies realize April's whereabouts. But before the two zombies did anything, the four of us immediately made an attack.

Three arrows and one fireball wiped out the remaining zombies. Although all the monsters in the building were destroyed but we did not immediately celebrate. Watchfully we looked around worried if there were monsters hearing the commotion on the roof.

I immediately looked at the map to watch the monster's movements. “Seems safe.” No monsters moving towards the building made everyone relieved.

Finding a safe hiding place made us all take a break.

Our group returned after spending some time in the ruins of the city. When we arrived at the shelter we were surprised by the changes that took place in that place. Many people work to build fences, there are also survivors who return after hunting.

“This place is much more alive than before.” Dedi looks happy when he sees the survivors begin to recover and begin to rise again and continue their lives.

Distracting the survivors, Hesti asked me to report to Budi immediately. The night had come after our meeting with Mr. Budi ended. We're talking about a discovery in the ruins of the city.

“We might be able to re-occupy the city if we clean up the monsters. But the problem is what if the monsters keep popping.”

“If that happens then there is no other choice but to search for the source of the monsters originated.”

While the others were discussing, I was alone sitting in front of a table filled with the part of the radio device I was trying to fix. Using my knowledge learned before the outbreak occurred it took me only 20 minutes to fix the radio.

“Huwa.. I did it.” I jumped up in excitement when I heard the sound from the radio.

Seeing the Radio back to function I immediately handed it to Mr. Budi.

“This is a sacred mountain refuge, Lieutenant General Budiman Sakalangit speaking.”

The voice on the radio sounded happy.

...DING!....

Oh no those damn bells are back to sound.

After seeing the details of the quest, I stared around. Seeing the attention of everyone staring at their status screen made me sure that it wasn't just me who got the quest.

Everyone stared at each other, then with the various goals they had made everyone agree to accept the quest.

The voice from the radio again sounded, the voice sounded increasingly anxious because of fear if it would be ignored.

“Don't worry, keep it going as long as possible. We will send a rescue squad soon.”

...DING!...

...[.Quest has been accepted]...

There are several reasons why we received this impromptu quest. First of all, everyone does not want to lose a level. The second, we were interested in an Epic level random box. And lastly, if we can free the broadcasting house then we can ask for help to the military center.

After discussing the rescue plan overnight, the next day our group left for radio broadcasting.

Today many survivors come with us down the mountain, this is because they intend to clear monsters from the city in order to have a more decent place to live. some people also want to go back to their homes.

Thanks to my ability to show the best way where there are only a few monsters, making a trip as far as five kilometers from the foot of the mountain can be taken in about five hours. Everyone focused on completing the quest so as to minimize the fight against monsters.

We found a survivor who radioed last night. But the problem is that we can't take them to the refugee camp because the number of monsters around the radio broadcasting building is still very large.

The days kept changing, the survivors continued to hunt monsters inside the city so that it did not feel like two months had passed. Now a small settlement near the sacred mountain has been established. All people work together to rebuild human civilization, although all will be different from what they remember.

The radio broadcasting building became the only means of communication to find survivors who still survive. A rescue group was formed to help the survivors. The number of survivors from outside who were rescued increased the population of the settlement until it finally penetrated 100,000 residents.

More and more refugees are making the resources needed will be greater, but the refugee leader, Lieutenant General Budiman, is not worried about food because the sacred mountain has provided what they need.
