The sound of footsteps echoed in the hospital hallway. The man, who still looked handsome, walked quickly into the VVIP classroom at the hospital.
Syafa's face was so happy when he saw his father's arrival.
“Papa ..” Syafa said with his glowing face. He spread his arms as Mr. Rio walked up to him in the hospital gurney.
A warm embrace ensued between the father and the boy. Syafa missed the figure of the old man before him. Last met during her meeting with Afkar at one of the companies her husband had just led.
“Syafa kangen really equally papa," said Syafa when hugging Mr. Rio.
“Papa also miss you, son,” reply Mr. Rio while stroking the soft head of Syafa. “Papa's daughter is going to be a mother, is it true?” asked Rio sir in between his arms. Then Syafa and Mister Rio slowly let go of their embrace.
Syafa nodded slowly in reply.
Seeing Mr. Rio and Syafa let each other off the longing Afkar parted briefly out of the room to receive a call. Mr. Rio saw Afkar's departure, he immediately looked at Syafa who looked a bit thin and a little pale.
“What Afkar treats you well there!” Ask Mr. Rio.
“Mas Afkar well, Pah. Even my mother-in-law was very kind. It's just that I feel afraid that Mas Afkar forgets me,” Syafa said.
“Why is that?”
Shafa lowered his head. He felt guilty for lying to his father. Syafa once said that Afkar's first wife, Yara, did not live with them anymore. But the truth is that Yara is still in their home.
There's a reason Shafa lied, because Afkar asked him to. And Shafa followed him. The woman was willing to lie for Afkar.
“Sorry, Pah. I lied to you!” Shafa admitted his mistake. And at that moment, Syafa told him everything that happened to him. Feelings of fear, anxiety and resignation he felt in addition to his pregnancy that has not been known so that it further adds to the burden of Syafa's mind.
“Afkar dare to do this to you. Papa won't let that happen, if he insists on keeping his first wife he will definitely regret it. Your husband must choose to leave or stay with you. He will also not be free, papa will not stay silent,” Mr. Rio looks very angry hearing Syafa's honesty. The woman could not lie to her father. Because only with the old man Syafa lived his life all this time.
Syafa looked so scared by his father's words. He knew the tough attitude his father had right now. Mr. Rio can be cruel if what he loves hurts. The bitter experiences of the past had changed all the man's attitude. Mr. Rio who used to be warm and friendly is now hard and not easy to trust anyone. The experience of over-confidence in others makes the man lose someone who is very meaningful in his life.
“Do not do anything with Mas Afkar, Pah. Syafa has accepted his current state,” Syafa assured his papa. But Mr. Rio still did not accept it all. He said Afkar had to choose one. Or he'll never see Syafa again.
“Papa still do not accept if your daughter has to wait her turn to be with her husband in her own house, you have to obey what papa said this time,” said Mr. Rio firmly.
And at the same time Afkar returned to Shafa's room. Rio sir immediately approached the man.
“You don't know yourself!” Mr. Rio directly gave a lesson to Afkar when Syafa's husband approached Syafa.
Bugh ....
The punch landed perfectly on Afkar's cheek jaw.
Seeing that, Syafa screamed hysterically. “Papa, stop!” syafa's screams rushed down from the gurney. Not even his feet on the floor, Syafa grimaced while holding his stomach.
“Awww..” Ringis Syafa.
“Honey!” Afkar immediately moved closer to Syafa but Mr. Rio held him back.
“All because of you!” Mr. Rio looked at Afkar with emotion. “You will experience the same as Ryan, Syafa's former lover. If you dare to hurt even make my daughter sad again. Remember what papa will do to you and your entire family,” threatened Mr. Rio to Afkar.
Shafa could only remain silent and grieve at his father's anger. He knew that he was wrong to reveal everything to his father but Syafa was not the type of woman who was good at lying.
“I'm sorry, Pah!” Said Afkar while bowed. I will never leave Shafa. I will always be with him and our baby-to-be,” said Afkar. Although he did not remember fully the memories with all his family. But Afkar didn't want anything to happen to them.
“Papa hold your words, remember if you deny, you yourself will receive the consequences,” threatened Mr. Rio.
Shafa who heard Afkar's words immediately came down from his vault quietly and carefully. She walked slowly towards Afkar and then scattered her body in her husband's arms.
“You promise to be with me, Mas?” Syafa asked in his arms.
“Yes, I promise!” Reply Afkar.
“Please do not take heart greeting papa, yes, Mas!” Shafa's whisperings to not be heard by his papa. Then the woman stretched her arms. Afkar just nodded slowly. “How about Yara?” Ask Shafa to make sure.
Mr. Rio switched on his phone ringing. Seeing his daughter being spoiled on Afkar. The old man slightly moved away towards the balcony so he could freely take the call.
“I'll ask Yara to stay at her rented house first. So that your heart and mind feel calm without his presence at home. Sorry if my past is a burden to you.”Afkar stroked Syafa's shoulder.
“Thank you for understanding me, Mas.” Shafa wrapped his hands around her husband's waist. “Sorry not that I meant to expel Yara but I just want to have some privacy with you in our home.”
Afkar nodded slowly. “I understand, Honey!” A warm kiss landed on Syafa's forehead. “Now, rest. You should not be too tired and think too much. Take good care of your content! Remember pregnant women should relax and smile so that our children will be healthy.” Afkar landed his hand on Syafa's stomach and then stroked it slowly.
“Iya, Mas. I'll take good care of this fetus. He is proof of our love both, said Syafa with a face that sparkles happily.
“Go back to bed, I'll get you some fruit, "Take Afkar.
Syafa nodded slowly accompanied by a sweet smile on her husband.
Outside the room a woman swallowed the bitter reality of hearing all the conversations of Afkar, Mr. Rio and Syafa.
His chest rumbled violently at this moment. One hand pressed against his own chest. Yara felt increasingly meaningless at that moment.
‘It turns out my presence these few days does not mean anything to you, Mas. Before you ask me to leave. I'll give it to you, Mas. I will go and bring Dhiya from before you. I didn't leave because I lost. Sorry if all this time my presence makes your life become like this.’
Inner Yara then stepped away from the room. The woman was determined to leave this time. It feels free if Afkar does not want his existence.
Just a few steps walk. Yara meets a nurse. And asked the nurse to deliver the ijo bean porridge that she brought to Syafa's room. Yara remembered this morning that Syafa was so good at eating that food. When knowing Syafa must be hospitalized. Yara intended to bring the green beans to the hospital and asked the driver to take them there. Even though Syafa has been kind to Yara all this time. But Yara did not expect her presence to turn out to be a burden for the woman.
Yara couldn't deny that. Surely every woman will feel depressed if it has to be one roof with their honey. For Yara felt the same way as Shafa. And the harsh reality Yara heard for herself when Afkar said he would ask her to leave. Without being asked, Yara will leave. He will let go of someone who means a lot in his life.
‘I'm willing to let you go, Mas! If indeed we are destined to be together, there must be a way to it.’
Yara rubbed a drop of water that almost dripped from the corner of her lips. From now on, Yara promised no more tears. Yara is determined to live better with Dhiya in the future.
