“Bu Gita, there is someone looking for you,” Bi Tum said. His arrival made the warm conversation of the two friends stop.
‘It looks like he's here!’
Inner Aunt Gita. “Let's wait a minute, Bi!” The woman's law.
Bi Tum nodded, then passed from before Aunt Agita and Mr. Rio. The housekeeper returned to the front room, where a guest from Auntie Gita was waiting.
Auntie Gita looks busy putting her phone in her sling bag. Mr. Rio looked at Aunt Gita with question marks.
“Who picked you up, Ta? Tumben once, usually you will stay overnight if it is late like this,” asked Mr. Rio.
Aunt Gita just smiled lightly replying to him. “You also know who he is, Yo. Should I introduce him?”
“Should, you should introduce me to him. I don't want any random man close to you. I'm getting curious who that guy is. You're sure you know him, Ta.”
“I'm very sure. Wh why? You jealous?” ask Auntie Gita with a smile.
“Do not ngaco, Ta. Not jealous, but I don't want my best friend to choose the wrong companion.”
‘Indeed there will never be any feelings for me in the slightest from you, Yo.’
Inner Aunt Gita. The woman immediately smiled back at Mr. Rio's rebuttal for her. “You don't have to worry. You've met him before.”
Mr. Rio immediately turned his head towards Aunt Gita. The man was increasingly curious as to who the Gita meant.
“Who?” Mr. Rio's getting curious.
“You're taking me home no? If you want, you can meet him.”
Mr. Rio pushed his own wheelchair to move forward position Aunt Gita. “Driven! Take me to the man,” Sir Rio's word makes Aunt Gita a little sneer.
“Why not use the automatic button only. You bother me,” grumbled Auntie Gita.
“I'm afraid I can't trouble you anymore, Ta. Enjoy when we are together,” chirped Mr. Rio.
‘Yes, because I won't be with you forever, Yo. Yara and Shafa will take care of you. My promise to Mira has paid off. Now it's my turn to organize my own life.’
Again Auntie Gita sat herself down.
Despite the grumbling but Aunt Gita still did as ordered by Mr. Rio. It was not wasted by Aunt Gita. Briefly the woman gave news to the man who was sitting in the wheelchair he was pushing.
“I'll try to build a household hick back, Yo,” said Aunt Gita suddenly.
Mr. Rio pressed the brake button so that the wheelchair that was being pushed by Auntie Gita stopped suddenly. So that makes Dira's chair difficult to drive. “You sure, Ta? What's with the guy in front there?” Mr. Rio confirmed. “Why so fast? You never told me?” Mr. Rio posed several questions in a row to Aunt Gita.
“Because now you've reunited with your family, Yo. I can't always follow you guys. Who me? I also want to be happy with my life.” Auntie Gita smiled wryly in reply.
Mr. Rio nodded at the words of Aunt Gita. “I wonder who would dare to get you married. He must pass the selection from me first!” Mr. Rio again advanced his wheelchair of course with an automatic button so that the wheelchair can walk on its own.
Aunt Gita shook her head at the old man's behavior. Pa Rio had stopped the pace of his wheelchair when he saw some white rose trees that he deliberately planted had flowered. The man smiled seeing her.
‘Beautiful flowers. If only you were alive. Surely you are very happy to see the white rose, dear.’
Inner Mr. Rio. The man smiled sweetly while imagining the presence of his beloved wife who was gone. Mr. Rio returned to his wheelchair.
Arriving in the front room.
Mister Rio furrowed his brows as he saw a familiar figure sitting in the living room. “Doctor Indra!” Call Mr. Rio when he arrives in the living room.
The figure of the man who was known to Mr. Rio quickly stood up then walked over to the owner of the house.
“Goodnight Mr Rio, how are you doing tonight, healthy?” ask Dr Indra. The doctor who treated Mr. Rio during this.
“Good, Doc,” replied Mr. Rio. “Sorry if there is a check schedule tonight!” ask Mr. Rio. Doctor Indra replied with a headband. Mr. Rio was a little surprised by the arrival of the doctor. While silent for a moment, Mr. Rio looks to be thinking. His bead instantly turned to look at Gita, the woman beside him.
“What is he the man you mean, Ta?” asked Mr. Rio without further ado to Aunt Gita.
A smile and a small nod was the reply of his best friend.
****
There was a feeling of relief in Mr. Rio's heart when he saw the smile on his best friend's face. He has known Doctor Indra all along.
The doctor who handled Mr. Rio's health all this time. A man who chooses not to have a family after knowing his condition. Doctor Indra is difficult to have offspring as well as the Gita. Somehow they got close like that. Fate ‘ is what makes them united.
The hand of Aunt Gita became a farewell to both of them.
‘I feel calm, if you are indeed with Doctor Indra. He's a good guy. Sorry, I can't return your feelings. Though it never comes from your lips but I know the feeling in your heart, Ta. You are a strong and great woman because you try not to ruin our friendship.’
Inner Mr. Rio.
“Pah,” call Erza. The daughter-in-law walked closer towards Mr. Rio. He saw the car that had just come out of the courtyard of the luxury house.
“What is Aunt Gita?” ask Erza.
Only a nod came from his father-in-law.
“After night, Papa better rest!” decal Erza.
Erza pointed at the wheelchair and pushed Mr. Rio towards her room.
“Yara is asleep?” rio asked as the wheelchair he was in was pushed by Erza.
“Already, Pah,” replied Erza.
Mr. Rio smiled hearing that. “Yara must be soybean take care of me.”
“Not at all, Pah. Even Yara feels happy to be able to intervene alone to take care of papa,” said Erza.
“True, does he talk like that?”
“Ya,” Erza replied briefly.
Also, Mr. Rio arrived in front of his room. Erza opened the door and pushed the wheelchair back into the room.
“Za,” call Mr Rio.
Erza walked a few steps forward, until their current position was facing each other. Mr. Rio was sitting in a wheelchair while Erza was standing in front of him. “Iya, Pah.”
Mr. Rio tried to stand on his own. And Erza quickly helped her father-in-law.
“Let me help, Pah,” Erza said.
Mr. Rio held back his hand preventing Erza. “Papa can be alone,” prevent it. Mr. Rio walked limped towards a closet.
Erza watched while watching over Mr. Rio. The man was afraid something might happen to his in-laws.
Mr. Rio returned with a map in his hand. Then hand the map to Erza.
“What is this, Pah?” asked Erza confused.
“This is the certificate of this house. Papa tipped it with you. In it there are also some assets that you deliberately buy for Yara and Syafa. Please tell them, later!” tell Mr. Rio.
Erza furrowed her brows at the words of her father-in-law. “Why should I tell him, Pah. Better papa himself who conveyed it,” reject Erza, he closed the map again then handed it to Mr. Rio.
“You can count on right now because you are the only daughter-in-law in this house, Za. Papa asked for help with you. Sell some assets to buy shares in Textilindo Abadi Company which was acquired by Pak Waluyo. Papa heard he will sell almost 50 percent of his shares,”, said Mr. Rio.
The words of her father-in-law made Erza interested. Erza seriously heard every remark from Mr. Rio.
The old man began to reveal his plans to Erza. From important rights to some messages he conveyed to his daughter-in-law. I don't know why the speech that was thrown by Mr. Rio was different for Erza.
“If the company has successfully changed hands again with us. And you are willing to manage it, please!”
Erza shook her head slowly. “That's impossible, Pah. I can't hold two companies. Especially different countries like this.”
“If it is like that, Papa wants Afkar to manage it.” Mr. Rio sat on the edge of his bed. The old man was not strong enough to stand for too long.
“He gave back all of his hard work when he left the company. Afkar's performance cannot be underestimated. Even though he was losing his memory. Papa's very guilty of him, Za. Papa asks please do and arrange how well. Papa believes you are wise in making decisions. Papa is tired, papa wants to rest.”
Erza breathed a heavy sigh of trust from her father-in-law. It's a heavy thing according to him. Erza can't make her own decisions.
‘I'll talk about this with Yara and Syafa tomorrow. Oh yeah, but there's Roni here. There's no harm in me exchanging ideas with that guy. He must know what decision to make. Roni certainly knows the ins and outs of that company.’
Inner Erza, then turned to look at Mr. Rio. Erza could see the tired face of her father-in-law.
“Papa's better break!” decal Erza.
Mr. Rio nodded slowly. “Yes, papa is also tired once.”
Aided by Erza, Papa Rio prepared to go to sleep.
“Good rest, Pah,” Erza said as she raised the blanket on the body of her father-in-law.
“Thank you, Za. Titip my son and my grandson.” Mr. Rio grabbed Erza's hand and grasped it.
“Papa take it easy! Yara, Syafa and Dhiya are safe with me,” Erza said making Pak Rio's feeling calm. Again Erza felt something strange with Mr. Rio's attitude that night.
Erza's gaze circled around the room, as Erza was about to come out of her father-in-law's room after waiting for a while until Mr. Rio fell asleep.
There are many pictures of a woman there. Even Erza looked at the wardrobe made of glass in the room. From far away it can be seen when the contents of the closet are women's clothes. Erza looked back at Mr. Rio who was already asleep.
Erza did not expect the man who was currently frail because of his age and pain was always loyal to his woman. Seeing from the belongings of Mama Mira is still neatly stored in the room.
‘I wish my attitude could be like yours, Pah. Always loyal to one woman. And Yara is that woman.’
Inner Erza then left the room with great admiration.
