I'm Not a Bet

I'm Not a Bet
Tristan Car

Arindi's watch shows at two in the afternoon. The race was over, one by one the men walked out of the stands, as did he and Nadine.

"Rin let's go stand up" Nadine asked.

"Yes patient Nad, why the rush?" Arindi closed her sketchbook.

Arindi continues to follow Nadine's big steps towards the parking lot. Without Nadine's cue stopping her steps suddenly, Arindi who was walking down behind her almost hit her.

"Why Nad?"

"Rin I just wanted, at 3 ntar I have a motor club event."

"Lu inget new? Ha's? Kidding. Yes, I've anterin me to go home first," Arindi ordered.

"It's sory Rin, but the show is not far from here, I'm the organizer of the event. You know if I anterin you back, hunt round the show."

"What do you mean? you to my trus show?" ask Arindi.

"What about Rin...." Nadine thought, more precisely pretending to think, she had already taken everything into account. If the calculations were correct then now surely Rendi and Tristan were behind them. And it's true everything is exactly as Nadine predicted.

"Rendyy...."

Suddenly Nadine shouted while waving to Rendy who was already behind Arindi. Hearing that name Arindi can directly connect who is behind. He turned his body to make sure, it was right now Rendi and Tristan again the way towards them.

"Lu why call them anyway?" Arindi whispered to Nadine.

"You need help" replied Nadine Cuek.

"Solicit what?"

Nadine did not answer Arindi's question because Rendy and Tristan were behind her.

"Why Nad? We're going straight there, right?" ask Rendy.

"Yes go straight there, we're the role models. The problem is that Arindi wants to go home, even though our event is daunted again. If I anterin him, I will not be able to prepare the event, right?" obviously Nadine.

Arindi was still dumbfounded to see the behavior of her best friend who felt very strange.

"Oowh. ehm I'm the Tristan car bell," replied Rendy.

"Owh coincidence. Yaudah here de Ren."

"Continue?" inner Arindi.

Nadine tetiba pulled Rendy's hand, making Arindi even more astonished, he widened his eyes to see Nadine who pulled Rendy's hand by force.

"Lu with me aja Ren, ouya Tan I ask for help anterin Arindi yak, until he dapet taxi aja gapapa, please yes. Come Ren... You are not the committee, you can come late. yes yes yes yes...."

Nadine pulls Rendy's hand stronger and invites him to go on his bike. Arindi was still confused, her mouth half gaping, she still had a hard time digesting the situation now. Behind Arindi, Tristan also felt the same way but he quickly digested things.

"But Nad, it's me .. yes I've Tan with Nadine, tar lu just overtaken, anterin he once," replied Rendy just like that.

"Nad but...."

Arindi lost her words, she tried to yell at Nadine who had already run away and got on her bike. But his voice was lost in the exhaust of the racing.

"What kind of situation is this?" arindi's mind again.

Arindi hugged the sketchbook she had been holding. He looked at the book and suddenly remembered something.

"Wait a minute.... bag... my bag? Laughing too?" Arindi only realized that Nadine had brought her bag with her. He became very panicked thinking about all his treasure in there.

"You going home now?" Suddenly Tristan spoke, alerting Arindi of his whereabouts that had been behind Arindi. He also turned around.

"Ah Triss... That means. I-yes. I want to go home but I can't get anterin until I meet a taxi but my wallet is packed. What am I supposed to do? When did I send money to him?"

"Why?" ask Tristan wonder.

"Sorry brother but rich that brother saw earlier... I went here with him but gatau...."

"So..want to go home now or stay here?" ask Tristan again.

"Back now. Woles can only sing. Fuckin."

Arindi replied firmly hearing Tristan's question which seemed to not care about Arindi's reasoning.

Tristan walked to where he parked his car, while Arindi tailed behind him. He followed when Tristan told him to get in the car.

Arindi gets into the car, the atmosphere feels awkward until she continues to curse Nadine in her heart. He sat stiffly, holding tightly to the sketchbook on his lap and just stared straight ahead without speaking.

Tristan was actually awkward but he held it as much as he could. He just kept driving his car without saying anything.

The krucuukk!!

Suddenly the voice of Arindi's stomach removed the silence until Tristan turned his head in shock. Arindi turned her face in shame.

"Fuckin' stomach, why the hell should it sound? Don't have enough shy friends, you follow?" inner Arindi.

"Lo laper's? haven't eaten?" Tristan smiled slightly hearing Arindi's stomach voice.

"Owh... Eaten? Why emang?" Arindi looks over at Tristan.

"The stomach needs to sound, '' said Tristan Frankly.

"Pakes in cincin. Um that's not ...."

The krucuukkk!!

Not yet Arindi gave a defense, her stomach back the sound. He only smiled wryly as he watched Tristan put a slight smile on the tip of his lips.

"Sialaaaannn stomach..," means in the heart.

"You want to buy something to eat?" ask Tristan again.

"Oh don't take it. My wallet's in Nadine, I don't have any money. I pay for what food, I'm a laper but I owe him."

"The road is still far away, you're the same Nadine lives in the same apartment right?"

"I-iya sister, the problem is not that. um the wallet is in the bag and the bag to Nadine, so...."

"Let me pay, what will I eat?"

"Ga will win by talking to him. Uhm toast. Oh yes, I'll pay the money or transfer ...."

"You have to" Tristan said clearly and surely.

"Gue ain't never been in debt, so...."

"You have a bakery that you want to say, but it can still be held, we are stuck in traffic, at this hour on the weekend must be rame. Can you?"

"Bi-can brother. Cih my words in pieces continue, if only my bag is here long ago I went down."

The traffic jam was long, the journey from the circuit to the downtown shopping area took two hours by car. Arindi was really hungry, lucky that this shopping area was close to her apartment complex, so she thought of walking to her apartment after buying some bread.

"How is that bakery?"

Suddenly Tristan pointed to a fairly large bakery. Arindi simply nodded, her energy completely depleted, even to curse inwardly. They went down and went to the bakery.

When they stepped in, Tristan's phone rang, he told Arindi to come in first because he wanted to pick up the phone.

"Yes Ren" said Tristan.

"Where are you?" ask Rendy.

"New until Arindi's anther, stuck in traffic, why?"

"Ga, yes, I've just come here if you have. The show will start" replied Rendy.

"OK."

Clik. Connection interrupted.

Tristan went into the bakery, looking for Arindi, who was crouching in the chocolate-filled storefront. He also approached her.

"He what? Chocolate snack? it's taken what you want to buy?" Tristan's voice startled Arindi, making her stand up and grabbing two chocolate buns on the shelf behind her.

"Yes, that's it." Arindi walked towards the cashier. Tristan walked over to the window that Arindi had seen.

"Is her boyfriend Arindi?" The voice of a female employee behind Tristan shocked Tristan.

"Oh...." Tristan's confused.

"Oh mas must be surprised, mbak Arindi customers in our store, he really do not eat chocolate, this is his favorite chocolate," said the employee as he pointed at the storefront earlier. "Betting chocolate must be a lot."

The female employee continued to babble. Seeing the friendly attitude of the employee, Tristan finally took the initiative to buy some.

"You asked for this same one."

Tristan pointed at the white-wrapped chocolate and wrapped in gold, he did not know which one Arindi preferred. He only chose to have the store clerk stop talking. The employee looked happy, he brought the two chocolate bars to the cashier.

"Nih mbak Arin chocolate," said the female employee.

"Eh, I didn't buy that!" exclaimed Arindi shocked.

"Gapapa mbak, paid for by his girlfriend." The employee looked at Tristan.

"Daughter? Uh mbak, she's mom-not my boyfriend." Arindi stuttered, she felt ashamed. Tristan just smiled trying to be friendly, and then paid for the groceries. They walked out of the store awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, sis, the employee just said, he...." Arindi tried to explain.

"Father." Tristan tried to stay calm.

"Whatwhat the fuck? easy, good at saying rich boyfriend lo? Why don't you just argue the talk, instead say gapapa, "inner Arindi.

"Let's get anter," continued Tristan.

"Anter? no need brother, from here you can walk, it's too late from here the apartment. Oh yes thank you for the same chocolate bread, I changed the money. Thanks for the ride today, too, brother. That's when I go home."

"Lo sure? is it still good to walk?" ask Tristan.

"Geep brother, after all it's half-five." Arindi glanced at her watch. "Aren't you supposed to go to a motorcycle club?"

"Yes, but are you sure of the gapapa?"

"What's that weak I am in your eyes? Iyya gapapa brother, I'm home, bye."

Arindi also left Tristan who still hesitated. I don't know why there was a feeling of not wanting to see the girl leave. Eventually, he got into his car and waited. He only saw Arindi from a distance, after Arindi entered the gate of the compound and he ran his car.

...----------------...

"Halo Tan," Rendy said on the phone.

"Why? I'm on my way."

"No, Nadine wants to talk to you."

"Yes why?"

"Tan you're still the same Arindi, right?" nadine's voice interjected.

"Ga, I've brought him home."

"Where to? Are you sure you saw him enter the building?" ask Nadine.

"Gga anterin to dalem too, but I've seen him enter the complex gate."

"Jeez Tan..," Nadine's voice was anxious.

"Why Nad?"

"So gini fitting I check the contents of his bag Arin turned out his access card was also in the bag, he could not enter the dalem ga no it."

Ciiiit...

Tristan pulled his car over. He was shocked to hear Nadine say.

"Access cards? In dalem bag? so...."

"So... I also do not know, hp her in me, the car keys in me, already Rasya home mallem, Vivian out of town. Yeah so rich Arindi can't go home where... If I could ask for help...."

Tuuut.

Tristan decided on the call. He turned the car around quickly. Suddenly a strange feeling flowed through his heart making the heart beat fast.

"So where's he going?" Tristan panic.

Tristan's car went into the gate of the complex, he slowed down his car while looking to the right and left looking for Arindi.

"Where is he?"

Tristan glanced at his watch, the clockwork showing it at five in the afternoon. He was getting worried, his hands started to sweat.

"So he realized his card in Nadine must have been out of his apartment again, and then he went to...."

Tristan spotted a park not far from the apartment. In the corner of the park he saw from a distance the figure he was looking for. Arindi was sitting on a park bench under a large tree.

Tristan also parked his car not far from the park. He rushed to her. Arindi was busy with her sketchbook, she was painting chocolate and bread she had placed aesthetically on a park bench so that she did not notice someone approaching her.

"Would you be full if you were only looking for it?" tristan's voice shocked Arindi.

"Ah... Tris Loh... Tristan sir? what's here? isn't my brother gone?"

Arindi noticed Tristan's gaze to the sketchbook on her lap and then stared at Arindi sharply.

"Why is that my idea? Do you want to collect my debt?" inner Arindi.

"Why don't you tell me you can't get in?" tristan's voice was cold and firm.

"He why the hell? Ah that, the problem is I also just want to fit in the building." Arindi smiled wryly. "He knows I can't get in?"

Arindi gulped her saliva as Tristan's voice began to rise, she felt like she had just been caught sinning.

"Why? the brain is broken, right? Dateng dateng nyolot really, even though this is almost an extraordinary achievement one day without your omelin. By the way uhm a-what's not going?" tanya Arindi is slowly scared in anger .

Tristan sighed softly, only to realize that he was talking cruelly again to the girl. He wondered why he was so because his heart had been racing.

"Why am I always gini? Why does he always make me worry? Feels claustrophobic. Oh that's how it's been a long time." Tristan is trying to be natural. "Kalo I came ntar late also be a responsibility. Trus also Nadine just called and said if your access card on him. So I. mau mastiin if you ain't okay."

"Huh?", Arindi was astonished.

"So you haven't eaten the chocolate?" tristan tried to relax.

"Ohhh yes not yet." Arindi's not connected yet.

"Why? Ga likes? Why buy it...."

"Gue likes it" said Arindi with a smile for fear of spray.

Tristan flinched when Arindi said she liked, somehow the words confused Tristan, and misinterpreted it. He just stared at the smiling eyes of Arindi looking at him. "Huh? Like?"

"Chocolate, yes I like," replied Arindi.

"Ohh hah chocolate. If it's simple chocolate, I... suddenly laper, want to eat something else?" ask Tristan suddenly.

"Suddenly? As good as your life yes, angry, laper. Eat?" inner Arindi.

"Yes, or do you want to wait in this park until Malem?" ask Tristan again.

"Uhm ga hell, heeemmhh yeah already eat."

"Lo what do you want to eat? In which restaurant or cafe or...." Tristan walks to his car, Arindi just follows.

"Wait for me, don't get in the car."

"Trus?" Tristan was astonished.

"Udah come with me." Replace Arindi who goes ahead.

"Where?"

"Around the complex, oh yes there are foods that you can't eat or don't like?" ask Arindi.

"Well, I don't choose to eat."

"Yes, come along with that." Arindi invited Tristan to eat soto which is located not far from the complex.

Finish eating them back to the park. The clock has shown at seven o'clock in the evening. Arindi sat on the park bench again, enjoying her chocolate. Soto had already made her full but the chocolate was tempting her sense of taste.

Tristan was on a call with someone not far from him. After calling, Tristan approached Arindi.

"Nadine is coming soon" Tristan said later.

"Oh, uhm good," replied Arindi.

Tristan was sitting on a swing in the park not far from Arindi.

"Why do people sit down, don't they want to go home? Oh brother, brother's coming home."

"Father," answered Tristan briefly.

Arindi is wrong. He wants Tristan home but is unlikely to throw him out after buying food, afraid Tristan thinks he is a brash girl. But if Tristan is here he is also confused to talk about what is later he gets emotional hearing his cold words.

"Owh yes thanks for the food earlier, I returned the money," said Arindi.

"Hem," Tristan answered briefly.

"Much short, if cape comes home sono," Arindi's mind.

Tristan just kept quiet, he folded his legs, then his hands and lowered his head. He was not tired, he just felt awkward about his current condition. He doesn't think why he's here now.

Arindi no longer asked. He looked at Tristan with a smile. He finished his chocolate and opened his sketchbook. He began to draw the figure of the man in front of him under the dim garden lights.

He was seriously putting the finishing touches on his image without realizing Tristan was already standing in front of him. Seeing Tristan's shadow covering the light, he was shocked.

"Is that me?"

Although at first glance Tristan can see the silhouette of himself in the picture. Arindi looked up, in the dark, Arindi could see there was no sharp look on that face, only a shocked look towards her book. Arindi closed her sketchbook suddenly.

"Ah." Arindi smiles. "I'm sorry, but that was... I'm bosen and...."

"Can I see?"

"But brother...."

"You don't want to gapapa, if that's your debt paid off, consider it the payment," said Tristan.

"Ah what? nih...." Arindi hurriedly tore the paper that Tristan meant and gave it to him. Arindi does not want to give it but if Tristan considers by making it a model of his painting can make the debt paid off then he better give up the painting than he is considered to be looking for an opportunity.

"Well, I don't want to do that, it's a painting for a brother, I still pay debt ntar."

Tristan took it. He smiled watching Arindi's handcuffs, he admired her.

"That's great detail. Nadine is already in front, you go in, I want to go home," said Tristan.

"Huhuh? Since when? Oh yes then, thank you brother, I'll pay you my debt."

"Yes, he went in there."

"Oh yeah.. bye."

Arindi quickly ran towards the apartment. He wanted to immediately end the meeting with Tristan which was an embarrassing day for him. Tristan still admired the scribble on the paper and then passed away.
