Surah Al - Fatihah

Al-Fatihah also known as Ummul Qur’an is one of the most noble surahs. Reading Al-Fatihah is a condition of prayer. Surah Al-Fatihah is believed to calm the heart and strengthen memory. Therefore, this surah is recommended to be read often by mothers who are pregnant. So that later the child they contain has a calm heart and a strong memory.

Surah Al - Baqarah

Surah Al-Baqarah has 286 verses. This Surah is also included in the longest Surah in the Quran. There are many glorious verses that contain valuable lessons. One of them is in verse 128 which is widely recommended for pregnant women. Verse 128 is a prayer offered by Prophet Abraham as when he was with Ishmael, his son. Which reads:

رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ اُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَۖ وَاَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۚ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ

Meaning: O our Lord, make us yielders to You, and our children and grandchildren (also) who surrender to You and show us how to perform our worship (hajj), and accept our repentance. Verily, You are the Most Recipient, the Most Merciful.

Surah Maryam

Surah Maryam is the 19th letter. Surah consisting of 89 verses is often read by pregnant women. Surah Maryam tells the story of the struggle of Siti Maryam when giving birth to Prophet Isa AS, from the process of childbirth to prayers offered.

This surah is one of them is believed to be one of the prayers for pregnant women to be facilitated in the delivery process. In addition, Surah Maryam also has a prayer so that children can be devoted to their parents.
