EPS 35 - Reality remains to be accepted

Aira woke up when the nurse would release Meylani's infusion, today Meylani was allowed to go home because her condition was stable. Aira immediately approached Meylani and the Nurse who were talking about Meylani's return.

"Can I go home?" Tanya Meylani pleased.

"Yes it is okay, but you have to take care of your health and not be left alone, yes" said the Nurse while looking at Aira as if asking Aira to always take care of Meylani.

"Just calm down Sus, I'll take care of Meylani." Aira said cheerfully, she was very happy that Meylani had finally recovered and was allowed to go home. Meylani and Aira cuddled for a while while laughing together, Ergy who was still asleep was awakened due to the noise caused by the cries of Meylani and Aira.

The nurse resigned, and asked Aira to follow her into the administration. As Aira was about to come out, Meylani prevented her by holding Aira's hand.

"Why Mey?" Ask Aira wonder

"Hospital costs must be expensive, right? later I will work part-time to nyicil change the cost to you yes," said Meylani Lirih, she felt guilty for having troublesome Aira. Instead of answering Aira smiled and hugged Meylani again.

"Just calm down, don't think about it. We'll talk about this when things get better." Aira said it softly, then let go of her embrace and left the nursing room towards the administration.

Ergy who saw everything that happened was stunned for a moment. Is Aira always that good? thought in the heart. Then he approached Meylani who was sitting on her bed rubbing her wrist which was still wrapped in bandages.

"Why? Does the wound hurt?" Ergy asked watching Meylani rub her wrists. Meylani did not reply, she just smiled as she shook her head slowly.

"Why is Aira so good to you? Was he always that good, or just you?" Ergy asked Meylani with eyes staring at the door hoping that Aira would return soon.

"I don't know why, but I also only knew him during the introductory week of the campus," replied Meylani who was also surprised by Aira's good attitude.

"That was only a month ago, but it seems like he's known you for years, I think you're high school friends" Ergy chuckled with Meylani about Aira.

"No, he's a rich man's son, the father of the famous hotelier, Mr. Adji Wijaya." Meylani said enthusiastically about her meeting yesterday with Ergy. He also recounted how Aira's parents came upon hearing Aira cry on the phone. Ergy was amazed and did not expect that Aira was that special. In his heart he was getting more and more inferior to be with Aira. Aira was too tall to be reached by her who was very grounded.

Ergy smiled and laughed a few times as Meylani told of her closeness to Aira, until the moment Aira returned to the room to see the two of them who were busy telling stories.

"What are you guys talking about? It seemed exciting," said Aira joined, but instead Ergy went and woke up his two friends who were still asleep.

"Dissolve, If there is Aira not exciting," said Ergy teasing Aira and making Aira upset, immediately she chased after Ergy and hit her shoulder. Ergy just laughed and tried to avoid Aira's punch and replied to her by pinching Aira's nose.

Steve and Niko wake up after Aira and Ergy. Aira unconsciously stepped on the foot of Steve who slept on the hospital floor covered by a mat.

"Aaaaww," Pekik Steve made Aira surprised and she realized that she was stepping on something while chasing after Ergy.

"Ahh I'm sorry steve," Aira immediately stopped and rubbed Steve's stepped foot.

"It's all because of you Ergy," Aira turned around and shouted at Ergy who stuck out her tongue teasing Aira, making Aira even more upset.

"Already, now that we go home yuk, I'm bored for days in the hospital." Said Meylani who was tired of laughing at Ergy and Aira who were like cats and dogs.

They all left the ward. Aira hopes that all Meylani can be tough to face reality and soon be able to accept the fate of her Parents.

But when going to enter the elevator to get off Meylani asked to stop.

"Stop, I want to see both of my Parents first," Lirih Meylani in a trembling voice, Aira was shocked and looked at Meylani's face. His eyes glazed with glass holding back the damming water wanted to flow immediately.

Ergy and Steve looked at each other, and they were silent for a moment.

"You sure?" Aira asked Meylani who finally raised her downcast face and smiled.

"Yes, I miss them so much." Meylani.

Aira immediately contacted Aunt Meylani who was already in the hospital lobby to pick up Meylani. Aunt and Uncle as well as Meylani's female cousin immediately went up and met Meylani.

They hugged and cried together. After a while they finally together went to the morgue to see the guard doctor, and asked to be shown the bodies of both of Meylani's parents.

Aira, Ergy, Steve and Niko did not come in, they waited outside to honor Meylani's moment.

"I can't help it if I'm Meylani, I'm sure I'm doing the same thing, too" Aira said with eyes that glowed. Ergy patted his shoulder trying to win Aira.

"Don't be sad, we should be able to comfort Meylani at a time like this. Don't let him feel sad continue." Ergy said wisely, but Aira laughed at Ergy's words.

"It's so strange to talk rich sage so tumben sage," Aira said laughing at Ergy, Steve and Niko also laughed. But moments later there were screams and cries breaking out in the morgue.

Aira realized it was the voice of Meylani who roared roaring looking at her Parents. Aira's heart feels pity, she knows for sure Meylani is currently trying to accept the reality of her Parents.

The four of them fidgeted, pacing back and forth in front of the mortuary waiting for Meylani and her family to come out of the morgue. Time is very slow, every second feels like 1 minute.

After nearly tens of minutes, Meylani and her family finally came out with their eyes still damp and wet. Aira looked at meylani who was looking forward with a blank look.

Aunt Meylani asked Aira to follow her by hinting with a wave of her hand. Aira follows Aunt Meylani.
