Eps 14 - Love is What?

On a clear morning, Aira woke up excitedly, after last night calling with her Mama. He remembered his promise with Aris to bike Sunday morning.

Aira immediately rushed towards the bathroom and went to take a bath, she was shampooing and drying her hair with a hairdryer. Before wearing a sports shirt, Aira looks for her phone to call Aris. He searched in some places, in bed, spelled and even sprayed. But the phone doesn't exist. Maybe last night he was too sleepy and couldn't remember where he last kept his phone.

Her phone was not found and the clock showed 06:45, 15 minutes to meet Aris. Aira immediately changed clothes with her sports suit clothes in gray and white shoes.

Aira ran to Meylani's room to ask her to call her cell phone to be found.

"Tok tock" Aira knocked on Meylani's room door

"Mey.. are you awake?" Ask Aira from outside the room. But there was no voice telling from inside.Aira occasionally glanced at her watch, Aira was worried that Aris was waiting for her where they made their agreement.

"Mey.. " Shouted Aira. But still there was no answer. Maybe Meylani's still sleeping. Because the time was very narrow, another 5 minutes to 07:00, Aira immediately ran down the stairs.

He met some of the residents of the boarding house who will be together.

"Where'd Ra go in the morning?" Tanya Siti is one of the residents of kosam who has lived longer than Aira.

"Eh Mbak Siti, I want to bike. First yes Ma'am," said Aira in a hurry out of the boarding house, he ran towards a small park in front of a housing complex not far from the boarding house.

Last night Aris and Aira agreed to meet at the park at 07:00. And when Aira arrived, the clock was 07:15. He thinks he's late, but Aris hasn't arrived yet.

Aira sat down on the garden chair, sighing her innocence from running from the kosan. Some people ran through Aira in the morning, they noticed that Aira was wearing a hat and elbow and knee protection for cyclists but she was not carrying a bicycle. Being uncomfortable and embarrassed, Aira took off her helmet and protector.

1 hour passed, Aris never came, the Sun began to shine with a beam that began to scorch. Aira let out a long breath. He can't reach Aris because his phone is out of nowhere.

"Is Mas Aris waiting for me somewhere else?" Aira muttered.

He thought maybe Aris was waiting for him somewhere else and tried to contact him but couldn't. He felt very sorry for not finding his phone. Aira got up from her seat and looked around, but there was no sign of Aris coming.

2 Hours passed, Aris still did not come. Aira began to despair.His mind began to rage, maybe Aris was just toying with her. Finally Aira walked slowly back to her boarding house because it was noon, But on the way home, a man patted her on the shoulder from behind.

"Mas Aris?" Aira immediately turned around and hugged the man who was wearing the hoodie without further ado.

"Why is it so long?" lamented Aira.

"Old?" Ask the man. Realizing the voice was not Aris's, she raised her head and looked at the man's face. The man smiled and indeed he was not Aris.

Aira let go of her embrace from the man.

"Ah sorry, I guess someone else," Aira felt embarrassed

"What are you waiting for Aris?" Asked the man who was none other than Ergy Aira's college friend.

"Yes, but he's not coming anymore." Aira's speech was lethargic.

"You mean again?" Ergy wonder.

"That's it, I say good," said Aira lethargic and turned to walk home.

"Hey wait a minute, want to eat vegetable ketupat?" Ask Ergy

Aira's rumbling stomach answered Ergy's invitation, Aira turned back and looked at Ergy then nodded. Ergy showed me the way to the vegetable ketupat trader. On the way Aira just lowered her head in tears, she was disappointed, angry and regretful.

"Why?" Ergy was worried seeing Aira's attitude. But Aira did not answer and just fell silent.

"That man is not to be waited for. If he really loves you, without you asking him to take care of your feelings." Ergy said coldly

"What is love?" Aira asked while looking over and looking at Ergy

"What?" Ask Ergy back. They looked at him for a while.

"Why do you ask what love is?" Ask Ergy again

"I don't understand what you're saying. If he really loves, keep my feelings, whereas, What is love?" Aira asked started to shed her tears.

"Hey don't cry" said Ergy, not understanding her words and reason for crying. They stopped walking and Aira covered her crying face.

Perhaps others did not understand the reason for crying, but Aira herself did not understand. Why did her tears spill while talking to Ergy. It felt like his heart was hurting and tight.

For a while Ergy let Aira cry and covered Aira's face with her hoodie that she had previously opened. Until finally Aira began to calm down marked by her crying voice that was already inaudible.

Aira opened Ergy's hoodie and wiped her tear-soaked face with Ergy's hoodie.

"Let's eat," Take Ergy. Without hearing Aira's reply, Ergy took her hand and walked again towards the vegetable rhombus merchant.

After arriving, Ergy told Aira to wait and sit in the seat provided. Ergy went and ordered 2 servings of vegetable ketupat for the two of them while getting water to Aira.

"Drink first," Ergy offered Aira a glass of water. But instead of drinking the water, he looked at Ergy with teary eyes.

"Hiks," Aira started to cry again

"Stop, let's have a drink first," Ergy clutched the glass into Aira's hand so she could drink and feel better.

Before long, the vegetable rhombus traders delivered their orders. Seeing Aira's puffy eyes, the merchant advised Ergy.

"Den, sorry this is not the intention to interfere, the girl was not made cry, kasian sembab so. boh comforted given a gift, happy." The merchant said as he patted Ergy's shoulder then re-made another customer's order.

Hearing her Aira chuckle, she felt funny because Ergy was scolded due to her puffy eyes.

"It's a laugh, it's beautiful" Ergy said.

"What the hell," Aira was embarrassed.

"Jaudah eat first, let his spirit and his cry," Ledek Ergy chuckled.

"What a hell of a bummer," Aira pouted, while starting to eat the vegetable ketupat that had been presented in front of him.

Ergy finished eating first before Aira, she looked at Aira, her nose red and snot from crying earlier, but that did not diminish her beauty.

Aira just stared at the food and ate it slowly, as if lazy to eat when in fact her stomach felt hungry. Aware of being noticed by Ergy, Aira glared at Ergy.

"What looky?" Said Aira coldly

"That's a big deal," Ergy said evasively and chuckled.

"I'm done eating, Yuk's home" Rengek Aira

"Judah come on,"

Aira walked first but after looking around, it turned out that she did not know the environment, she turned to look back. Ergy smiled at him.

"Ciye doesn't want a way home?" Ergy Ledek

"Where is it going?" Aira

"You follow me" said Ergy

On the way home they talked a lot about the life of High School, Aira told her about her school first and so did Ergy. They're getting familiar.

After arriving in front of the kosan, Ergy said goodbye.

"Judah I go home first yes, good rest, don't cry anymore hehe," Ledek Ergy

"Oh, you go home" Aira kicked Ergy out. They laugh together. Finally Ergy turned around and walked home.

"Ergy," Call Aira

Ergy looked

"Thank you," Aira said, Ergy nodded and smiled.he waved her hand and walked home.
