EPS 27 - ABOUT MEYLANI

Aira walked closer slowly, there was a sobbing sound from Meylani's room, Aira believed that the sound of crying came from Meylani. The man just fell silent without doing anything, it seemed like he was just staring at Meylani from the front door of his room.

The man turned his head towards Aira and looked at her for a while then walked towards Aira. At that instant Aira's footsteps came to a halt, she looked at the man to recognize the figure of the man, perhaps another boarding house resident. But Aira was not familiar with that face.

Aira thought that the man would do something bad to her, Aira instantly dodged by closing her body against the wall. But it turned out that the man just went through it and came down.

Aira watched him until the man actually walked out of the boarding gate. After that he immediately ran and entered Meylani's room. He found Meylani crying on her bed by hugging her two lips.

"Mey, what's wrong?" Aira asked worried about her best friend. Meylani raised her face looking at the incoming Aira and immediately hugged her. Meylani's cry grew louder and Aira tried to calm her down.

The sound of Meylani's cry was clearly heard until some of the boarding house residents came crowded in Meylani's room. After being calm enough, Meylani finally lifted her face and prepared to tell her what was really going on.

"Drink first Mey," said Ma'am Mi thrusting a glass of water to Meylani who at that time had released her embrace to Aira.

"Please Ma'am," Meylani picked up the glass and drank the water given by Mbak Mi.

"It's quiet?" Tanya Silla, one of the boarding houses whose room is right next to Meylani.

Meylani swelled with a nod of her head, she took a deep breath and began to tell stories.

The man who came was his uncle, he took care of him from High School, his parents disappeared somewhere when Meylani was sitting in the middle of Junior High School.

"So uncle came, and gave me news. My parents have been found, but.." Meylani's words were cut off, she started sobbing back. Aira who was sitting next to him rubbed her back to make Meylani feel better.

"But what's Mey?" Ask Ma'am Mi. But it looks like Meylani can not continue, he said, he cried bitterly again.

"Have it, if you can't tell, it's okay. What's clear is that we're all here to help you, and if you need a storymate, you can tell us at any time." Said Aira embracing Meylani who sobbed back.

"My parents were found dead" Meylani said. His heart felt tight and bitter to speak the reality that happened to his parents. His breath was severed for holding back his sorrowful cry.

Meylani is a child only wayang, he does not have a brother or sister, during adolescence he lived with his parents who are travel agents who often travel anywhere.

Little Meylani used to often participate with her parents, but when she started school, Meylani only followed her parents during the holidays. And when Meylani's parents travel without her, she often stays at her uncle's house who also has a daughter her age.

Meylani is no stranger to living alone, she is used to it because her parents often leave her for a few days. But during the year-end holidays, his parents disappeared.

They had no plans to travel because they were going to the zoo with Meylani. But no matter what happens, when they are about to leave that day, Meylani's parents disappear after previously intending to shop at one of the supermarkets near their home. Meylani did not go shopping because she was playing with her cousin who is the son of her uncle.

Meylani was really hit hard after getting word from her uncle. Meylani tried to think positively about the departure of her parents. He believes his parents went traveling abroad and they live well.

But today Meylani gets news that she does not want to believe, her parents are found dead in their car.

After a few years, the bodies of Meylani's parents were found at the edge of the forest in their car. The remains were found by the SAR TEAM searching for the missing climber.

I don't know how the car could have been in the woods so far away. All that logic Meylani could not accept. Because both parents like to travel to crowded tourist attractions, not forests or mountains.

Meylani was so shocked by the news her uncle brought that she did not want to come with her uncle to come to the hospital together. Ensuring that the Tulans are his parents.

Meylani still sobbed that night and fell asleep with tears in her eyes. Aira does not leave him.he stays in Meylani's room to accompany her for fear that Meylani will have nightmares.

Ma'am Mi and the other boarding house go alone to go to bed to their respective rooms. The night passed with the sobs of Meylani. Aira accompanied him so that Meylani felt not lonely when slumped like this.

Meylani is a cheerful woman, Aira does not expect behind her pleasant personality and also likes to joke, Meylani kept a secret of this magnitude, and saw her fall asleep in tears make Aira sad. He is grateful to have a complete parent. Although the same often left his parents to go to work, but his parents never really left that long.

 

In the morning, a noise was heard from some boarding residents who were having breakfast. But this noise was unusual, it felt like it was more festive. Aira woke up and saw Meylani who was still asleep with her eyes moist.

Aira let out a long sigh looking at her best friend, maybe last night Meylani woke up and cried again without a sound. After being quite awake, Aira got out of bed and came out of Meylani's room.

He looked downstairs where the other residents were crowded. At the same time Silla saw him from below and called out to Aira.

"Ra, here's breakfast, there's a special menu. Wake Meylani up, we eat together." Shouted Silla to Aira. He nodded and went back into the room.

Meylani was still curled up while hugging her favorite bolster.

"Mey, let's have breakfast," Aira said softly, Meylani wriggled and turned to look at the Aira she had previously ridden.

"But I'm not hungry, I'll get ready for the hospital" Meylani said slowly.

"I'm with ya, but now we have breakfast first," persuaded Aira, Meylani nodded and immediately got out of bed. He washed his face for a while and immediately went down with Aira for breakfast with the others.
