Forcing Matchmaking

PoV Dad

I have been confused for a few days to find the right way to talk to Zahra so that she would accept this match. I want Zahra to be able to accept this matchmaking with open arms without any sense of compulsion in her heart. Zahra is different from her sisters who I think are very obedient, Zahra has a stubborn and disputing character like me. I'm afraid if I force her too much later she'll act recklessly .

My mind now seems to be deadlocked to find a way to get Zahra to accept this match. I finally decided to ask my wife Amira for help to persuade Zahra to accept this match. I plan to ask her to talk at night when we'll be sleeping . In addition to more free time for us to talk, there will be no one to disturb or listen to our conversation.

" Mom please help dong bu's father, to persuade Zahra to accept Adi as her future husband." I said starting a conversation with my wife Amira while leaning my body on the back of the bed. Amira who had laid down her body with her eyes closed next to me immediately opened her eyes and then woke up and leaned on the back of the bed next to me .

" Are you sure of your choice ? Have you prayed istikharah? "

I rolled my eyeballs in disgust hearing Amira's words that seemed to belittle me while clucking.

" ckk ..this mother does not know the father anyway, if the father is serious like this, of course, the father has prayed istikharah. Not only that, but I've also found out about the ins and outs of his family as well."

" Weiss.. great yes father yes .. direct fast motion. let Zahra fast - fast can mate. Is it not dear father anymore with Zahra ..until father impressed rush to match Zahra ? Or because you feel burdened with the responsibility of the father to finance Zahra school.. So you rush to marry Zahra?."his more sneer-like question made me with his sharp gaze that seemed to want to draw me. I who saw his attitude and heard his words immediately also ignited emotions so that I also vented all the thoughts that were in my mind on him.

" Athaghfirullah mother's... Very funny mother's thoughts about the father yes..... Is it because I'd rather match Zahra than send her to school so you can think badly of her. I certainly know why I didn't allow Zahra to continue her education. Not because they feel burdened with their school fees. I do not feel burdened with my responsibility to send Zahra to school , it's just that dad feels useless if we send him high - high if in the end he will only be a housewife."

I paused my words for a moment before continuing my words again.

"Fathers often sneer at women who after graduating from college they prefer to pursue their dreams by working so that they become lazy to have a family. Or if they want to have a family they choose to postpone having a child for the sake of their career.

And even if they have children they prefer to leave their children in day care or to their housemaids so they can still work. Cook after sneering at them father instead let father's daughter to go to college. It's the same with dad licking dad's own spit ma'am . Therefore the father does not allow the father's daughter to continue her education because the father does not want the father's daughter to work later. I want my daughter to be a good housewife who can be a good wife and mother to her family."

I took a deep breath to suppress the anger in my heart. However, I still need his help to persuade Zahra to be in a match with Adi, the man of my choice. I tried to take her heart so she could help me.

" Why the hell mother doesn't seem to like the father's decision to match Zahra with Adi."

Amira who had been silent staring blankly in front then turned her head towards me and looked me in the eyes . We looked at each other in silence until his words broke the silence that had occurred between us.

" Zahra thinks he is still like a child well.what's wrong if he continues his education first. And with age and association later I'm sure I can turn her into a more mature woman with more time".

Amira paused her speech while correcting her sitting position and continued her speech again.

" Not all women who continue their education to a higher level of education will make them a worker . Many are also among those who are just being a housewife . While the knowledge they get in college they apply in educating their children. So there is no such thing as a wasted education . Every science we acquire will surely benefit us ."

I rubbed my face violently at Amira's words, I can be sure that she won't help me to persuade Zahra to marry my chosen man .

" Now what do you want, Mom"

" Let Zahra continue her education well, If you still want this matchmaking to happen then you can propose an engagement first before Zahra graduates from college . But if they want the marriage to continue then they must be willing to accept Zahra who will continue her education ."

After my conversation with my wife Amira that night, it made me think hard how this matchmaking could happen even though I did not get her support. I could have granted Amira's request to send Zahra to school first but Adi would have waited for Zahra to graduate. And if I send Zahra to school when Zahra marries her effect like I want my future daughter-in-law to pay for my son's school it hurts my ego .I really want a daughter-in-law who memorizes the Qur'an . If I cancel this matchmaking not necessarily I will get this son-in-law spec I want again. Because there are rarely people who memorize the Qur'an 30 juz like him.

Maybe I thought too hard to make my head turn dizzy . This pain of mine gave me the idea to launch my plan to continue this matchmaking. And I'm sure my plan will work.
