Radit POV
17.30.1 July 2020
I glanced at the sky behind the window. The sun drowned half of him, preparing to welcome the night.
Alan downstream-scurry in front of me. His face looked so agitated, his blond hair was disheveled as it was often scratched. Sometimes he sighed in annoyance or glanced at the wall clock. While Uncle Waja who was sitting next to me was busy with his thoughts, he was pensive as he tapped on the wooden table in front of him.
I honestly don't know what they're thinking so behave like this, but I do know there's a war ahead.
We were waiting in the living room at Awang's grandfather, Alan's teacher. I exhaled a rough breath, the person we had been waiting for a long time to come.
"Hello." The distinctive voice sounded along with the tall figure that entered through the door. then he followed two other figures that I just saw, he said, a forty year old man and a teenage boy my age. The horrifying aura emanating from the man stimulated my nape to stand up.
"Sit down my guests." Grandpa Awang said kindly.
"Hey the house is renovated again huh? Last time wasn't this good." Said the man's ramaja excited, his sky-blue eyes glancing at the spirit lyrics.
"Stop acting April boy, your age is already past two hundred years.let's sit down." Said the man firmly and authoritatively.
"Hufts. Humans are boring when they are old." April Cibir. But he kept up and sat on the sofa opposite me. Her sky blue iris looked at me probing.
"Hey, are you nurturing Awang's new students?" Ask April .
"Yeah, why?"
"So geeky, this one of your students." He said casually while pointing at me with his index finger. I just smiled in annoyance, if he wasn't a spirit I'd really like to grab his black hair that was in that exaggerated pomade.
"Enough the reunion, and April don't insult the short boy." Said the man with a heavy voice. I who was insulted only bit my lips as a form of restraining annoyance, I know my height is only one hundred sixty-eight centi meters, I know!
"So what's the problem Awang? Why are you calling us all of a sudden?" Said the man while resuscitating his back to the sofa.
"Simple Kara, your great enemy is rising from hibernation." Grandpa Awang said with a flat expression, but I knew that his iris was hiding in fear.
Kara, the forty-year-old man glared in disbelief. Even April who was engrossed in looking at the sky turned her head.
"Hey. You're not kidding, are you? There was no way the rabbit would rise five years faster. My magic seal isn't that weak." Now that April was speaking, her face turned serious.
"But that's the reality my students tell me." Grandpa Awang pointed at me and Alan alternately.
"What did he do?" Ask Kara seriously.
"I didn't see him at all, but I was exposed to his mist magic. Radit was the one who met the rabbit face to face." Now all eyes are on me making my feathers stand up for a moment.
"He didn't do anything suspicious. He was just chatting casually with me while eating my provisions, I think he's just a spirit of forest rangers in general." I am trying to remember.
"He's still preparing himself, getting off the seal must be consuming a lot of life energy." April's Mumbles
"It's bad. There is not much time left, added to the lack of numbers of hunters in this village. The war this time will be worse than the last ten years." Now Uncle Waja raised his voice.
"Did anyone help remove the seal?" April Muttering.
"It may be, but now is the time to prepare for war. One hundred hunters isn't even strong enough to take down the rabbit." Kara stared intently at the ceiling while we were busy with silence.
I exhaled slowly and gently poked my nape. This war of vengeance awaits ahead.
"If according to my estimation, it would take about two weeks for him to recover all his life energy. That's enough time to gather our strength. Tighten patrols around the fog forest to keep an eye on his movements as well as his subordinates. Prohibit anyone for any reason to enter the fog forest.Do you understand Awang?" Kara looked at the name called with a serious look.
"Yes, you know better about this." Grandpa Awang nodded slowly.
"Don't forget to tell all the villagers. I'm gonna gather my people first." The man wearing a blue shirt suit, who was in uniform with his pants, stood up and walked out of the house with April trailing behind.
"Pak Kara. Who the hell is he?" Mumamku.
"He is the village's war hero. If there were no he and the boy, the village would have been destroyed in the first war." Obviously Alan.
"What is he really strong?" ask me
"Eagle level hunter, One level below Night Owl."
*Night Owl: Highest rank in hunter organization. It contained the strongest hunters from the founding families of the hunting organization
"I will announce this at the village hall with Waja, you rest for today." Grandpa Awang confirmed the collar of his batik shirt, then walked out of the house, a second uncle Waja caught up with him. Alan stood up and walked towards the kitchen.
"You're cooking." His reply was flat before I could scream asking him. I also exhaled slowly, releasing the tension that controlled myself. Black is now dominating the sky, people are starting to turn on the lights of the house, illuminating the night more gripping than usual.

Tomorrow, by the river.
The splashing of water sounded like a slumbering song, inciting anyone to drown in tranquility. A cool breeze stroked my black hair, singing frogs by the river with a slumber.
Five minutes.
My body managed to feel the warmth and spread it. But the problem is I don't know how much longer I can keep my bones solid. As I explained earlier, my bones are like melting.
The sweat flooded the entire body, making the red T-shirt I was wearing soaked. My teeth were grinding, my body was shaking withstanding the pain.
I bite my lips as hard as I can, my hands tremble violently, my body shakes, my heart beats madly, dizziness strikes my head. This warmth will kill me.
I can't stand it, I want to end it.
DEG!!
All the pain disappeared instantly. The agonizing warm feeling faded away, slowly leaving my body. I don't know why my body feels so light, like there's no weight. I set my roaring breath, still with my eyes closed.
"Open your eyes Radit." Said Alan stammering
Hearing that I became tense, bad thoughts entered my mind. Slowly I opened my eyes. The view of the river without the slightest green color. Have I failed again? My inner.
"Hey Radit you're really just a high school student right?" Alan asked in disbelief.
"Sure, why the hell?" I frowned not understanding.
"Try what's different about you now?"
"Which is different..," I scratched my non-itchy hair. I closed my eyes for a moment to feel.
"I felt three birds on top of a branch at nine o'clock, they were preparing to.." I opened my eyes wide. What the fuck just now!?
"Your body is used to the life energy. You passed the second stage."
Silent moment. I still shake in disbelief.
"W-what? how come?"
"Look. Life energy has tremendous power, it can make you very powerful yet simultaneously destroy your body. Therefore, the body needs endurance to accommodate its strength. By flowing life energy throughout the body, slowly the body will get used to life energy.but you."
"My body got used to it in just two days." Guess me.
"Yes.., your body is really amazing."
We fell silent while exchanging incredulous looks.
"Then why can't I see the green aura now?"
"That's not the question. That effect happens because your body is adjusting to the energy of life. This case also happened to the pain in your bones. Then about you being able to sense that bird is your body's form of adaptation, now your body can sense life's energy." Alan took a rock on the ground and threw it at me.
"Try to hold the stone." he ordered.
I held it, for a second nothing happened.
"Wear a little energy."
Alright....
CRICK
The stone was smashed apart, but I actually added a little energy. I stared silently at the stone fragments in my palm.
"So to shorten the time.the third stage starts." Alan confirmed his sitting position.
"The third stage of the physical technique. It's called the control stage. At this stage you are required to concentrate a large amount of life energy at one point." Alan explained.
"Now fist my face as hard as possible." Alan was serious.
BUGH!! CRUST!
I happily punched that flat face, but the hell was my finger in pain. The guy I punched just put on a flat face.
"The goal of this stage is the control of life energy. The better a person's control the more life energy that can be accumulated at one point and the harder that part is."
"So, in other words, at this stage you should be able to harden your body as hard as possible, as a form of how great you are at controlling life energy."
"Yup. Exactly it. "Alan nodded
I closed my eyes. Trying to concentrate the warm feeling into my forehead slowly, because if I rush my forehead can bend because it is not ready to receive a large amount of Life Energy. In psychic techniques the most important thing is to get your body used to it.
"Well, even you can do pretty well." Alan muttered.
"yeah. Even though it makes you dizzy." I said Still with eyes closed.
A warm feeling gathered on my forehead, becoming a thick layer. Slowly I opened my eyes.
"Are you ready for the test?" Alan relaxes his fingers.
"Well, let's test how strong my forehead is." I prepare myself. Alan stretched his fingers to my forehead. Then his fingers sent a jemarin.
BUGH!CRUST!
My body was thrown, the roar of the wind blew away the rocks around me. And in the next second my body splashed into the water, and damn my head hit the river rock.
