GRIM REAPER'S GIRLFRIEND

GRIM REAPER'S GIRLFRIEND
THIRTY TWO

"To Andrea's house?!" exclaim Aya slowly.

"Yes, I have to work first and then I have to see if her married cousin has a daughter."

"Oh so-"

"You're safe there, right? No one attacked you?"

Aya glanced at Jonathan who was already sleeping soundly. "Yes, at least safe. Where are you now?"

"I'm at my target's house."

"You're gonna take your life?"

"That's my job."

Having gotten used to meeting Jonathan and his friends, Aya has forgotten who they really are. "After that you're going to Andrea's house? when you meet, you'll be looking for that hole?"

"I should have prioritized you Aya but the problem is Seruni and Seroja are looking for that keris."

"Crisp?"

"Keris who had brought Jonathan, keris was also the target of the king's minions. We must quickly destroy it."

Aya glanced at Jonathan once more, his black robe lying at his feet while his wide-open shirt accentuated his field chest. 'Did I just ask Jonathan about this? But Jonathan must have had his own consideration to defend this kris.' He said in his heart.

"Dad? Are you still alive?"

"Yes, yeah."

Jonathan's friend fell silent and said, "sorry, it involves you."

"Nothing, I want this anyway."

"After we're done, we'll pick you up."

"There is no need to rush, you should look for keris is more important."

"But what about you? we can't leave you there long."

"That's business later, after all Seroja has given me the shawl and the magical torch, we can't let that keris go out for long. I'll help you as I can."

"You're stuck there Aya, there's no guarantee you'll survive." Jonathan's friends still insist on helping Aya.

"I can take care of myself, and don't call me too often, I don't want my phone battery to run out." Aya saw the battery of her phone, lucky she had fully charged the battery.

"Take care of yourself, if there's anything call me immediately."

"Thank you." Aya hung up her phone and glanced at Jonathan. "You hear what I'm talking about with your friend?"

Jonathan opened his eyes slowly. "You're so loud, I can't sleep."

"Above, everyone was looking for that keris. Still got hold of it?"

Jonathan shook his head slowly. "If it's still on me, I've destroyed it from yesterday. Unfortunately it disappeared along with the time I jumped."

Aya let out a breath. "Why do you keep it when it's dangerous."

"The dangerous thing is not the thing but the content."

"Eh?"

"The idea is very dangerous, if the king can have its contents then our opponent is not an ordinary opponent anymore, fighting him alone has made us run away like now especially if the king has it."

"Can't they not touch angels like you?"

"They won't be able to touch our people." Jonathan rose from his sleep slowly. "But if they already want something somehow sacrificed anyway they want it."

"What do they want?"

"If they can drink our blood then they can have temporary power if they eat our heart then they can go to heaven and heaven." Jonathan laughed blandly. "It's just a myth among them to have fun, who made it but until now they haven't managed to attack our people except-"

"Except?"

"Unless we do the ritual."

Aya surprised. "You mean the ritual of being human?"

"Yes, it was during the ritual that our strength slowly decreased and our defense had begun to decrease and at that time they could attack us." Jonathan looked at Aya, "That's why rarely anyone would want to perform the ritual."

"That's not just a heart exchange risk?" Aya looked at Jonathan in disbelief. "From the beginning has been the risk of angels like you?"

"Yes." Yeah." Bump Jonathan.

"But why-if you knew from the beginning, why are you still doing the ritual?"

Jonathan's eyes glared at the sky. "Maybe it's my own selfishness."

Aya's head rested on both knees, "and you also engaged my best friend."

Jonathan looked. "Sorry."

"I won't forgive."

Jonathan raised both eyebrows.

"I won't forgive you if you leave Andrea again."

Jonathan smiled. "As long as I'm alive, I won't leave her."

Aya wiped her tears. "Then what now? our time in goa continues?"

"It's the only safe place now, as long as my wounds haven't healed" Jonathan pointed at the wound on his chest. "I don't dare go out, after all, it's very risky to go out somewhere we don't know."

"I know, that's why we'd better be here first."

Aya heard the loud sound of a heartbeat in Jonathan, she turned to Jonathan's chest. "You-you took your heart?"

Jonathan laughed blandly. "If you think back I'm a coward."

"But why"

"Okay, maybe I'm too cowardly to make the next move."

"Andrea will be hurt."

"It's better to let himself get hurt than to die in front of me."

"But how Andrea survived"

"Come on," Jonathan yawned. "Let me rest, please don't be noisy if you want to get out of here as soon as possible."

Aya looked at Jonathan angrily. Since when was Jonathan able to take his heart and why was Andrea still alive then why was Jonathan injured like this?

Seroja opened her eyes slowly, seeing Andrea sitting leaning under the rock while hugging both knees, her head leaning between the knees.

Seroja looked up at the sky. "Ah, it's almost morning apparently."

Andrea woke up hearing Seroja's voice. "Seroja."

"Sorry, wake up."

"No, I'm just tired of looking anyway - I can't get away from you myself." Andrea rubbed both of her eyes. "Early morning?"

"Worrying about your mother?"

"I can't go too long." Nod Andrea.

"Just calm down, it won't be much help."

Andrea stood flexing her body, "Seruni?"

"Friends Jonathan too."

"This reminds me, why do you call him Jonathan's friend?"

"Because he's not named."

"Oh yeah, I forgot that."

"Have you found the kris?"

"Not yet."

Seroja sighed. "Where's that? time brought Jonathan? but Jonathan-"

"That gris couldn't have fallen too far from here, even if it wasn't here when Jonathan brought it? Can you be sure?"

"I can only confirm that you already have one heart which means Jonathan is no longer in this world, unless he cancels that condition and pulls back his heart."

"Who?"

"Jonathan."

Andrea laughs. "When did Jonathan pull his heart back?"

"I don't know, all this time we've been assuming Jonathan disappeared because now you have one heart and we're ignoring the possibility that the heart has been pulled back."

"But if it's true it's pulled means I'm gonna be chased by the goddamn king?"

"They can't chase you, as long as I'm by your side."

"But the conditions"

"The terms will not harm you, the losers will be Jonathan."

Andrea touched the chest of the heart. Ticking. "No more hearts?" murmured Andrea quietly.

"Patience."

Andrea turned her back to Seroja. "Let's go find that keris."

"You didn't give up?"

"I can't give up, I also have a reason to destroy that curse."

Seroja. "We're just destroying the contents, not the keris."

"Why not both?"

"The main thing is to destroy the contents, if you want to destroy the object - I do not mind it, I will voluntarily help you."

Andrea laughed trying to cover up her nervousness. "Thank you."

Seroja knows how Andrea feels now, already from the baby he takes care of and knows Andrea well. "Andrea try to remember the incident before the fall, if it was brought Jonathan we have to find his body or-"

"Or what?"

"No." Seroja shook her head slowly. "We'd better be looking, please remember."

Andrea tried to remember. "Slowly my brain is weak when told to remember."

Seroja smile. "I know."
