GRIM REAPER'S GIRLFRIEND

GRIM REAPER'S GIRLFRIEND
TWENTY-THREE

Andrea went forward and ignored Jonathan's hand that was about to hold him back. "We're sorry about that, but trust me, there's no evil man."

The beautiful woman looked at Andrea.

"But there are some things that we cannot prevent as well as you angels." Andrea pointed to herself. "One of them is me, who is a victim of the greed of fellow humans, of course you angels know the history of my past which became the collision of my own biological father."

The look on the beautiful woman's face turned soft.

"But I don't want to reciprocate all the treatment of my biological father even though he was sad too, he could do that - so I did -" Andrea looked back, "Deciding to help Jonathan become human. Because I know what it's like to lose and be taken advantage of."

Andrea's gaze turned to Jonathan's friend. "That's how old the former fellas used to be, isn't it? some people want to go back to being human not because they are ungrateful but because they want to stop their painful past."

"The nameless angels never remember their time as human beings" said the beautiful woman.

"But they remember how the evil creatures who kidnapped them were treated, the sudden loss of family" Andrea said.

The beautiful woman looked at Jonathan. "Is that what you want to be human?"

Jonathan thought for a moment. "I don't remember the past and want to go back to being human despite my doubts. But a few years ago since meeting Andrea I can finally be sure."

"Love" Aya whispered to herself.

A few years ago, after meeting and helping Andrea.

Love can be happy sometimes and it can also be painful. Love can also make man do anything, love is not only for man but also his own treasure and life.

Jonathan held his chest.

"Your heart is empty?"

Jonathan looked back. His friend stood up while pecking in annoyance.

"You're seriously doing that ritual?"

"Why?"

"Do you know what the risk is?"

"I can't let a child be in danger."

"Little boy?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"God! Are you sure you're gonna involve a kid?"

"Not intentionally."

"You should just shut it up."

Jonathan did not answer.

Jonathan's friend gave a rude snort and briefly glanced at Jonathan's hand that was placed on his chest. "When are you going to carry everything on?"

"If everything is ready."

"There's a time limit, right?"

Jonathan took a breath. "Go, it's time for you to work, isn't it?"

"I'm leaving, but you have to promise me." Jonathan's friends took a step forward, now they looked at each other. "Please promise me you won't give up and just walk away."

Jonathan nodded then in a blink of an eye, his friend had already gone missing.

Jonathan closed his eyes, he could not let a child lose his life because of his father's selfishness. The exchange of life for his daughter is ridiculous for Jonathan, there are some people out there who want a child, but he is wasting his God-given gift.

If indeed he will disappear and the ritual fails in the worst possible way, at least he can help the child live.

Jonathan's thoughts go back to now, he further solidifies himself to protect Andrea. He can't give up now. "If-"

Everyone looked at Jonathan.

The beautiful woman smiled and threw a shawl at Jonathan.

Jonathan swiftly caught it and looked at it in wonder.

"That's the fourth condition answer" the beautiful woman replied.

"Eh?" Andrea and Aya were surprised by the beautiful woman's sudden answer.

"It's actually one of the tests for you, Jonathan," said the beautiful woman. "It's not easy to go back to being human especially you Andrea."

Jonathan gave the scarf to Andrea. "What is this for?"

"One day it will be very useful for the final ritual" replied the beautiful woman. "See you later" he continued, flicking his fingers.

The beachhead of Jonathan, Andrea, Jonathan's friend and Aya changes. Now they have moved in front of the gate.

Aya was sitting limp from dizziness.

"Yes!" exclaim Andrea.

Aya raised her hand. "I'm really not used to this."

"They've already kicked us out after giving us the shawl?" ask Jonathan's friend not to believe. "At the end of the day we don't know the name of the angel who helped you."

"He gave me his shawl" Jonathan said.

"Snaw? make what?" ask Jonathan's unbelieving friend.

Jonathan shrugged both of his shoulders.

"You're given a shawl?" asked Aya who each massaged her forehead.

"Jonathan caught it and then gave it to me?"

Andrea swirled around looking for the whereabouts of the shawl. "Where are you?"

"The shawl might show up if we need it" Jonathan said.

"really?" asked Andrea while tilting her head.

"So, is it over?" ask Aya.

"Not yet, we still have to get out through earlier. Your cloak?" ask Jonathan's friend to Aya.

"Argh! Left it at that place." Aya remembered the robe she had placed on the chair. "It was told to leave anyway."

Jonathan's friend scratched his un-itchy head. "I can't protect three people."

"Indeed why? We passed through okay, right? There were whispers but they didn't bother us just now, did they?" ask Andrea.

"You will understand for yourself if you have been captured by these lowly creatures." Jonathan's friend looked at Andrea.

Aya and Andrea shuddered in horror, they could not imagine being the catch of the creatures unclear.

"Let me protect Aya, you protect Andrea." Jonathan made his decision.

Andrea raised her head and looked at Jonathan with a questioning look.

Jonathan's friend leaned over and patted Andrea on the shoulder. "Out there is a lot of targeting Aya, but once out of heaven and get blessing from the angels even though in a strange way they turn to targeting you, Andrea. While Jonathan who is now his strength is weakened can not maximally protect you."

Andrea stood up and looked doubtfully at her fiance. "Certainly that?"

Jonathan replied with a brief nod.

Andrea sighed. "All right, let's go."

While from a distance Seroja observed the four of them with misgivings.
