GRAF'S THEOREM

GRAF'S THEOREM
CHAPTER 8 FOR THE SAKE OF A LONGING

"Don't take the new student to the cafeteria, Faj?" asked Gladis who was standing next to Anggita. His head slightly looked up, pointing it at Dawn who was standing on the other side.

Dawn shook her head as she picked up the red toe candy, "bring provisions from home he said."

Angita and Gladis mangut-mangut understand.

"Tumben yah who wears a jacket in class is not reprimanded. Is it because he's a new kid?"

Anggita and Dawn turned towards Gladis at the same time.

"It's you, too, Dis. How come I'm not aware, Dad?" timpal Anggita while holding Gladis' arm.

When the three returned to the classroom, it was found that the three Randi were standing opposite to Rangga. Rangga's face looked angry. Gladis hurriedly approached the two. Pushing Rangga away from the new disciple.

"Why are you, Ran?" asked Gladis while investigating each inch of Randi's body.

Randi shuffled away. Anggita pulled Gladis away from Randi to stand beside him. The skinny man simply shrugged both of his shoulders and waltzed leisurely towards his chair. Sit back as if nothing happened. Rangga chose to go out of his class without saying anything to them.

Anggita, Gladis and Dawn cast glances at each other. No more conversations between the three. Dawn chose to walk up to Randi and sit back in her chair. Gladis grabbed Anggita's arm and dragged her out of the classroom. Aggita only obeyed even though the worst suspicion was tricking her feelings.

Gladis invites Anggita to sit in front of his class, setting their sights on the basketball court. Gladis' index finger raised, then pointed it towards the field.

"There's Gilar, Ta! Look at Gilar, okay!"

Anggita's eyes follow the direction of Gladis' index finger. Sure enough! Gilar was playing basketball with another student. Somehow there was an empty feeling that suddenly hit him. Although they are still in the same class, even though he is no longer worried by Rangga, somehow Anggita feels like he has lost something.

He looked towards Gladis for a moment. The girl clapped her hands and cheered happily. There was something he wanted to say, but he was reluctant. She should be happy that in her new class now, Gladis is back as her seatmate after the last few months, Gilar took over her friend's seat. But, there was a feeling of disappointment and also a sudden loss that he felt. Pleased and sad are mingling in his heart.

If he can be honest, he misses the presence of Gilar beside him. Although he could still look at her from a distance, occasionally, but his hopes were too great for Gilar to return to accompany him every time during class. He realized, so far the relationship of the two is no more than just friends. The attitude of Gilar who always took care of him, being kind to him, far from the impression of the leader of a motorcycle gang that is scary, makes him have to feel the likes of the side. He never knew how Gilar felt about him. The man never talked about feeling, dating, longing, or just liking. Never was!

The man who was jumping on the court with the basketball, more often do actions that always make Anggita confused. Pleased. Baper. Worrying. Making his heart sometimes feel that even Gilar might feel the same way as him.

But why is there never a single sentence that describes that feeling? Is Anggita too confident that Gilar has the same feelings as him? Or does Gilar have no feelings for her? But, why? Why did he tell Rangga not to bother him? Why does he always ask Gladis for a seat to be his countryman? Why did he come that night and forbid him to leave the house? Why would he want to deal with Rangga? Why is he always around Anggita?

Did you know Gilar, that his attitude made Anggita feeling disturbed by the likes of the other side? Feelings that are only filled with conjecture.

Gladis elbowed him, "applause dong! Even bengong. His Aa got the ball into the ring, Ta!" said the girl.

Anggita just smiled a little, looking back at Gilar who was celebrating his success putting the ball.

The bell in is ringing.

Anggita propped up his chin on top of his left hand. His gaze was fixed towards the door that occasionally opened his friends who had just entered the classroom. His eyes moved as he watched the top of the head of the curly hair emerge from behind the window. Anggita's eyes followed him closely. When the door opened again, the figure of Gilar emerged from behind it. The swift thump within his chest rumbled making his entire body cool down. As much as Anggita looked at Gilar.

As the man's eyes and eyes met, Anggita squeezed his right hand under the bench tightly. He lifted both corners of his lips slowly, forming a smile of hope that Gilar would at least return his smile. Gilar looked at him.

The two looked at each other for so long that Anggita could not remember how many seconds had passed. However, the man chose to pass without a smile in return. His face was expressionless. Suppose we don't know what to mean. There was pain in his heart. There is a sense of disappointment and longing that increasingly enveloped his feelings.

Throughout the afternoon lesson Anggita lost interest and enthusiasm. Although the one who taught that day was Pak Reza, a Japanese Teacher who was idolized by students at school because of his good looks that were said to resemble Korean artist V BTS. Aggita more daydreaming and silent even though Gladis sometimes invites him to talk. His mind was busy deciphering the scene of mutual glances between him and Gilar earlier.

For some reason the look in Gilar's eyes made him bitter. Sayu's eyes. Cold aura. Unlike Gilar who he knew a few months back. Gilar always greeted him every morning. Gilar who always asks him to joke even in the middle of class hours. Gilar was always beside her with a cheerful smile. Gilar is always beside her. Is it because Rangga no longer bothers her? Ah, Anggita wishes it was in the hands of that possessive and bossy guy. Suppose we want to be saved by the angel-hearted devil again. I want to sit next to Gilar again. He misses the XXX motorcycle gang's leader. Very homesick!

Gladis's elbow disperse his reverie. The girl just turned her head towards her countryman reluctantly.

"We're a bunch of yah, Ta! Same Dawn and Randi too. How's it?"

Think of it pensively, "what group, Dis?"

Gladis. He put the back of his head on Anggita's forehead.

"You sick, Ta? Don't usually fail to focus!"

Gladis pressed his forehead making Anggita frown.

"Why the Gita, Dis?" Fajr nimbrung.

"He's sick like he is, Faj. Not the same focus the lesson just nampe nanya group what everything!"

Dawn looked at him fixedly, "just rest there in the UKS, Ta!"

Aggita refused to extend the conversation. They did not understand what he was feeling at the time. Anggita chose to turn and support his head on both hands that he put parallel on the bench. Looking at the direction of the door that should have been when the doorbell had sounded he did not look at it if only the disappointment he got. The miss is not treated. The sense of loss is getting closer to him.

I don't know why. There was a sense of wanting to take back Gladis' seat again so that he could become my friend Anggita. But he has no reason now. Since the school year changed, Rangga no longer harass Anggita. The girl became more chatty with her classmates. Looks more comfortable interacting without fear of being disturbed. Ah, is Gilar wrong if he hopes Rangga returns to grieve Anggita? He wanted a reason to be next to the girl. Just looking at his back made his heart feel homesick. He wants his misses to be treated. He wants to be my friend Anggita again. He wanted to look at the girl again. He wanted an excuse to be next to Anggita like he used to be.

Gilar suddenly got up from his seat. He convinced himself. His feet moved toward the front of the class. No one noticed it except Rangga who was sitting on the corner bench near the window there. Gilar stood right in front of Anggita's bench, making the girl who had chosen to look at the door, now turned to look at him. Angita. His body slowly changed position to be ready for alert. While Gilar, suddenly crouched down while putting both hands on the table. His head looked up only to Anggita. The two girls looked at him in surprise.

"Have you got any members of the group?" ask Gilar later.

Anggita nodded reluctantly. Getting such a reaction, Gilar's body suddenly felt cold.

"Sheath plate!" ledek Gladis, "there is Dawn with Randi. Still less than two! Wanna?"

Gilar got up from his position, "okay! When's the group work?" reply with passion.

He looked towards Anggita with a big smile. The girl was slowly able to smile even though her mind was re-examining the intent of Gilar's attitude.

"I'm in this group too!" a voice made Gilar and Anggita look equally turned.

Rangga was standing not far from where Gilar was. Both of his hands were glazed over his waist with his head in a higher lift. Anggita clucking.

"Kok so on want to enter this group anyway? If you want to make a noise, it's out there! Not here!" shouts Gladis while pointing his index finger towards Rangga and Gilar alternately.

Gilar chuckled, "what a storm, Neng! Suudzon wae his job!"

"Yes, here! People just want to join the group work!" timpal Rangga will not lose.

Gladis looked at the two with a probing gaze, "tumben getting along! What kind of pellets can gini compute?"

Rangga and Gilar looked at each other for a moment. Both refused to comment. Choose to set his eyes in another direction.

"Udahlah, Dis. Our group is also four people. They don't have a problem!" Dawn chimed which instantly got the thumbs-up from Gilar. Randi chose a small smile.

"Yes, already. How is your package!" Gladis. He looked sharply at Rangga who was in front of him, "alawah well if you try to disturb Anggita again! Immediately I scribbled your name from our group! Suck it!"

Rangga hesitated. "Yes! Aye! Onion!"

"How about the group work at Anggita's house?"

The Dawn question was answered by Rangga.

"Don't! In another place. What about the city library?" timpal Randi who made Rangga growled.

Gilar looked at Randi for a moment.

"I agree!" Gilar responded steadily.

Anggita turned to Gladis, "in the city library, Dis. Itung-itung empowers government facilities! Would it be a pity if it wasn't in the gun?" timpal Anggita who made Gladis can only nod his head assented.

"okay! I'll go with you!" Dawn finally accepted Randi's advice.

Rangga was unable to react to anything other than raising his hands, following the wishes of the other group members. Even though he really wants to visit Anggita's house again.

***

Anggita, Gladis and Randi were standing in front of the gate. Sometimes their heads turned to look at the school. That day was hot. Anggita tied her hair carelessly, letting the children her sweaty hair look tired. While Gladis wagged the tip of his veil. The look on his face frowned as the scorching heat hit his face. Gladis turned to look at Randi who looked so calm, even though the gray jacket remained reluctant apart from his body.

"Aren't you hot, Ran?" ask Gladis later.

Angita looked over. Randi just shook his head indifferently.

"Any also teachers are not angry anyone still wears a jacket in his class. You bribe the teachers? Let them let you wear a jacket!" Celoteh Gladis made Anggita's head occasionally nod in agreement.

"Because he's his son's doctor Kali, Dis!" sela Anggita added.

"Doctor?" gladis' eyes popped open, "really? Whoa! Tajir dong's son!"

The third conversation stopped when Gilar, Rangga and Dawn came together with their respective motorcycles. Parked right on the edge of the road in order. Gladis pulled Anggita's hand and took him beside Gilar who was still in control of the motor.

"You are the same as Gilar! Let me be the same as Rangga. Okay?"

Assume not react. He turned to look at Gilar who was looking at him.
