The Under World
The sun appeared when I woke up. Not too high and not too low, the right morning for me to do something like visit the place where Mr. Ted. Which according to the princess was deep in the forest, seized by something she could not see.
Because when it happened, it was night, dark with little lighting. The princess can only describe the creature as a large-bodied cat.
The princess asked to come with us, saying she could take care of herself and keep us safe.
Of course we refuse, saying that Mr. Ted would be much more agreeable if the princess kept waiting for his arrival at the house which I added "How about the princess set up a welcoming party for Mr. Ted? I'm sure Mr. Ted will feel very happy" The princess received excitedly, promising to make the best party for all of us.
In the afternoon, we are looking for information about what might be in this part of the forest, to be ready to face dangerous situations.
In a three-story building that was a guild belonging to the kingdom, we found out that in that part of the forest there were only a few goblin campsites that shouldn't be a problem for Celine's team with the power of being in Tier 6. A rank created by the Tower of Fate to categorize a person's strengths after accumulating data from each world.
Once out of the building, Celine stopped stepping, thinking for a moment and then turned to face me "We have to find something you can use to protect yourself because we can't always protect you, especially if things get bad. But, I don't know what to give someone with no power other than Glory Hunt"
Rio clapped his hands, smiling widely with a slightly suspicious look "That's why you should set aside some time to look for information in the underworld" he said proudly, then turned to me.
"According to the information I heard, there is a tool that can give someone like Zent, the power of a short-term loan. I admit it doesn't sound so good, but it's much better than going to the woods without a preparation!" Clearly cheerful.
"Why isn't Zent waiting outside the forest safely while we're looking for a doll belonging to a young lady? Much better, much safer and less hassle-free" Tukas Rayven disagreed as he folded his arms.
"There's that choice as well, but wouldn't the young lady be much happier when she found out that Zent was participating? And Zent has promised the young lady, we don't want to see the smile on that adorable face disappear when we know that the promise is just a false promise" Rio denied, a little defensively, which was fortunately accepted by Rayven.
"You're right, we don't want to make him sad anymore" he replied after sighing "However, I still don't think this is a good idea.
I know Zent has confronted the perverted followers and captured some of them, but we're talking about monsters that don't care at all about other races, especially the cunning goblins. They could've used Zent to stop us when they found out Zent didn't have the power"
"That's why we need this tool" Rio quickly replied "As long as Zent displays a bit of strength, I'm sure those goblins won't dare to mess around"
"Are you sure this tool can at least function properly? Because as far as I'm concerned, no one has ever been able to create a tool like this, borrow power, really something that doesn't make sense"
"You sound like Mr. Anderson" complained Rio was not happy.
"After that, we better immediately look for the tool because we will only waste time by continuing to argue like now" said Celine mediated, turning to the friend who still seemed offended "Rio, where is that device now?"
He sighed, eased his anger, then replied "Not far north, outside the wall, there is an empty old building that is one of the entrances to the underground world, where criminals gather. The tool is there, in the hands of someone who is a little crazy about technology to do various ways to realize his dream"
Celine nodded in understanding "Alright, we're going to go to that person right now
"Not so fast my dear friend" cut Rio "The first rule of the underworld is to never operate when the sun is still appearing. They will immediately suspect if we do and secondly, there is a password that will be changed every 3 days. We certainly cannot just break in if we do not want to die on the spot.
Third, we need disguises, especially you Celine, you, the knight that this city has known thanks to your achievement of attaining Tier 6 when the level is only achieved by those who are older and not at the age of your youth.
Finally we decided to leave at 10 pm, after looking for more information and disguises that are not too interesting, but can also hide ourselves well.
I was a little worried because of my white hair, luckily Rio had a black wig that when I was wearing, made me look like an antagonist, especially with a pair of fiery red eyes behind a slightly eccentric black-colored eye mask.
Rayven appears as a wealthy noble in a black suit and half-face mask that makes him look a little haughty especially with a sharp eye gaze thanks to a little touch of Rio's unexpected make-up making Rayven appear different. It is hard to imagine that this Rayven is Rayven the Knight.
Rio also appeared no less charming with a red dress that makes his blonde hair look more striking, decorated with a pair of green eyes and a red veil that made him like a princess from a foreign country.
Lastly was Celine whose change made my eyes slightly widen.
Celine the Knight is now replaced as Celine the assassin in a white suit, a plain full face mask of the same color and a long white hooded robe.
His appearance makes him look a little too attention-grabbing which I worry could bring trouble. I don't understand why Rio made Celine wear that.
As soon as the clock had shown the number 10, that was also when we arrived in front of the empty building mentioned by Rio.
A building that was once a dining house seen from the arrangement of tables and chairs in the middle room. For whatever reason, each table or chair is still neatly arranged as if waiting for a customer to come.
Not so far from the front door, there is an entrance located slightly hidden behind a large rack of wood. If someone doesn't go deeper, he probably won't see the door thanks to his position.
Maybe someone purposely made this door here to hide the entrance to the underworld, considering who would spend time in an empty building that had nothing and only gave off a sinister aura by the wild plants that had already grown here and there. Without illumination, just relying on moonlight that actually makes this place a little horror.
"Why? Are you afraid of empty buildings? Pathetic"
Z's? Can you talk when I'm sober?
"Of course it's stupid. You should have guessed that when I explained that you were a stiff and naive man who understood nothing about women.
How do you think I get stressed out knowing all that stuff? Chuckling?"
"Zent's? You okay?" Celine asked worriedly which was a little shocking to hear.
Even her two best friends looked surprised, not because this was the first time Celine had asked someone for news, but because of the tone that came out of her mouth. It was inconceivable to be out of someone like Celine. It actually sounded so soft even a little intimate that Celine herself might not have noticed.
Before I could react, the door in front of the lowest staircase had opened, a man in a black suit appeared in front, widening his hands with a wide smile, calling out "Welcome back, Red Lily!"
The three of us fell silent, slowly turning to look at Rio who was just laughing nervously on the spot.
