Glory Hunt's
The Chase

The group was seen carrying a large dark blue box tied up like a bag behind each other's backs. From the box pattern on the cube, a bluish light seemed to glow slowly like every rune on the side of the road that now turned orange.

Trying to chase them is not difficult, but they deliberately take a road that is still quite crowded in order to slow down the pursuit of knights who are still far behind.

Knowing they could have escaped, I pressed the button on the right handle of the steering wheel, activated the cannon and then pressed it once more.

Two blue-colored energy bullets shot forward at high speed, hitting one of them, making him lose control as the rear 'wheel' exploded, fly him to the window of one of the shops that I'm sure will make him need a few stitches.

If only there was a peaceful path, I would have used it.

However, my limitations in not having the strength and only being able to utilize the cannons on this Hoverbike, forced me to do so.

As much as possible I don't want to take a life.

They kept on speeding, glancing back because one of them was now gone.

Their speed increased, turning sharply into an area that seemed to be a factory area.

Wooden boxes arranged on the left and right of the road were kicked by them, smashing them randomly.

So even though I could raise the Hoverbike, some things still hit me and I had a pain in the right cheek that was likely due to being sliced by the chippings.

Thanks to the adrenaline rush, I didn't feel it much and was even more eager to chase them despite knowing this could end badly considering they were the ones with the power in the body, while I was just an ordinary human with reckless and crazy capital.

Do I care?

Of course not.

When else could I feel something so soul-heating like this, something that made my body so full of energy that I didn't want to stop.

I took off a few shots, pointing them at the arrangement of wooden boxes that were temporarily carried across the road by car.

Energy bullets managed to damage the rear wheels, making it tilt and drop each wooden box so as to block the path of those who did not have time to avoid.

They hit him and slammed several times on the road.

The hoverbike was thrown into disarray, leaving something that is now only entitled to be in exile. Hopefully not with the riders who are most likely to end up in rest.

I could not check them, speeding after the three people in front who were unceasingly looking back, trying to figure out where my position was.

They looked at each other, nodding in agreement to something.

Then Hoverbike the middle, braking.

I who still had some distance from him, immediately slammed the steering wheel, trying to control the hoverbike which lost its balance like a raging bull.

Unable to control it, the man jumped up, twisted his body in the air and gave a kick right at the head, sending me flying sideways, he slammed into a window and rolled on the floor until he stopped hitting a wall.

The body feels so heavy that the pain begins to travel to all parts of the body with some places feeling very sore, making me grimace pain, realizing the adrenaline begins to subside, letting the body take over again.

As soon as it would rise to its feet, my body gasped in shock feeling something like, a high-voltage electric current flowing with its center at the back of the body.

I glanced there, wide at the large shard of glass seemed to stick.

Fresh blood flowed on his lower side, dripping blood bit by bit.

Shit, I just got dressed and I ruined it.

What should I tell Mr. Andersen?

I have absolutely no money to replace it. If only I had the power, I would make that person pay for it. Not to mention HB which is now severely damaged.

But, for now, I have to run away, my life is in danger. I came back as a victim, which I hated so much.

While enduring the pain, as quickly as I could, I entered the foreign building through a door not far to the side.

Without paying too much attention around, as much as possible I continued to step and step, trying to ignore the extreme pain, in order to survive.

I don't want to lose my life here, especially when I have promised not to leave the princess.

I must endure, I must endure! You can do it Zent! I believe in you!

A leg can be heard in the back, walking slowly like a predator who is now playing around with prey, has been sure, he won the game.

Even so, I continued to step forward, not wanting to look back because I knew the figure was watching me not far there. Perhaps with a triumphant smile, seeing a weak man who could do nothing but flee from the door of the destined death.

No no, I can't think like that, there's a door not far ahead.

I have to keep moving forward, keep living!

Do not forget your struggle until now, your struggle to survive even though the world threw you away.

You don't want to let your family down, do you?

So, keep moving forward, again, again, again! Another bit! You can do it for sure! The exit is in sight! I'll get it, I'll get it, just a few inches and..

I succeeded!

At the same time, something made of iron, penetrated into my chest.

I don't know how and what to feel.

All I have in mind is..

Wh why?

Just a little more and I escaped. Just a little more, a little more!

Why is it always like this?

Why does my life always end like this!

Every time I'm going to make it, every time I'm going to achieve something, something keeps getting in the way! Closing the door of freedom, closing my happiness!

"How does it feel to lose hope hmm?" He said quietly and satisfied "What do you feel? A lie? The emptiness? Or want to take revenge?

I'm sure the last one isn't it?

Someone like you, someone who is still trying to fight for life despite knowing destiny says another is the most interesting soul, a soul that is hard to find.

Ahh, you must be confused, right?

No need to worry, just let go of your mind, let yourself sink in that comfortable and calm feeling. Aren't you tired? Let your poor soul rest, with us, together.. The World Devourer"

The last thing I felt before losing consciousness was something, something foreign burning from the body, growing and continuing to grow until a bright light appeared to come out of the place where the sword was.

Above, stood two men who had wanted to come down to save. But it was instantly silent as it felt the power of the white-haired man below.

They frowned inexplicably, looking at each other trying to find answers. But nil.

They could find nothing so decided to descend down after breaking the glass, surprising the attacker who had taken several steps back, away from his prey that was now floating in the air.

The assailant pulled out a spare sword, grasped it tightly and came crashing down only to be dropped to the floor not until a second later.

The gray-haired man with the ears of a wolf clasped his head, pulled him close to the face, checked something on a pair of violet eyes that had a stream of light, like an electrical circuit. Moving slowly from the periphery of the eye to the retina.

He looked at the man who was folding his arms watching the figure in front, still trying to find answers.

"One of them. I can't believe they got here and dared to create this real commotion" he said, then threw the body aside.

"In other words, they are ready to appear to the world" replied one man, long black-haired in a ponytail dressed as someone from the middle Chinese era

"It's time they showed themselves after a long time hiding in the shadows and who would have thought the person we were looking for was now in front of us. Surprisingly, he had no power at all, just an ordinary human being"

"Are you blind? He's now emitting a bright blue light in front of you and you're saying he doesn't have the strength?" The black-haired male circus, clueless with his friend who was always skeptical.

"What good is it to have the power of regeneration if you have absolutely no power to defend yourself? It's the same as asking yourself to be a boxing samsak.

I don't understand how someone can seem to save the world from them, from cowards who only know to hide themselves behind absolute power and become slaves" he replied uninterestedly, step near the exit and open it.

"Wait, we're not taking him?" Asked the black-haired man again, not hiding his irritation.

Had he not been his friend, perhaps he had already smashed into his haughty face, although they could both have been seriously injured at the end considering their strength was on the same level "He was the most important thing for the sake of saving this world from destruction!" He tried to change his friend's mind.

But he himself realized, if this person in front of him had made a decision, it was difficult to replace him.

Especially when that pair of yellow eyes became as sharp as razor-sharp as it was now "There's no point wasting time with such a reckless person. He should have died by now were it not for his rapid regeneration power.

What can you expect? A burden? Our lives are heavy because of our destiny, no need to add it again with his presence and not necessarily he will be the figure we expect"

He would open his mouth, but hold back his intention.

Seeing his friend go away without turning back and catching up with him after noticing the white-haired man who had begun to dim, the healing sign was about to be completed. He smiled calmly and closed the door, hoping that he might be found by someone who knew him.

It was not until five seconds later when the man's body was again lying on the ground.

Celine rushed into the room after receiving information from eyewitnesses who saw a white-haired man being thrown into an empty building. His eyes widened to find Zent who was now lying weakly in a red stained shirt.
