Erik's Banging

Erik looked around the place, the simple house was not small nor big but comfortable in the area. Maura stopped her steps, feeling that Erik was still standing in his place.

"Come in ! I'm sorry, if my house isn't comfortable for you." Maura said with a faint smile.

Without answering Erik immediately stepped ahead of Maura even without permission he stepped in and sat on the living room sofa. "A comfortable home." He said while leaning his body.

"Wait a minute, I'll go to your room first." Maura stepped leaving Erik in the middle room.

"Wait ! I want to see your mother." Erik got up from the chair following Maura into Sila's mother's room

The door leaf in Maura pushed slowly. On top of her mother's bed, Sila closed her eyes to endure the pain of her head.

"Ma, take your medicine first." Maura sat on the edge of the bed. She was very sad to see her mother endure such pain. If Sila's mother gave it to him early, maybe Maura still had time to take him to the doctor.

Madam Sila slowly opened her eyes.

"Who is he, son ?" He asked while looking at Erik. Maura doesn't usually take a man home.

Erik immediately approached Sila's mother and extended his hand. " I'm Erik aunty, Maura's friend in the old office." He introduced himself.

"Sorry, Son. Aunt can't accompany you. Aunt's head is so dizzy." Said Madam Sila was not happy because her guests could not be with her to talk.

"No problem aunt, please rest" said Erik politely. He can understand the condition of the mother please at this time.

Madam Sila nodded slowly and said. " Maura, mama's going to the bathroom." Since then he has been holding back from wanting to pee. Deliberately waiting for her daughter to come for fear of falling in the bathroom.

Maura hurried to stand up. " All right, let's slow down." He tried to get his mother. Due to Maura's slightly short stature from Della. He had a little trouble picking up his mother.

Without warning, Erik immediately carried Sila's mother to the bathroom. "Let me carry aunty, let's Maura you help me inside." Erik lowered Sila's mother on a slowly closed.

When she finished, Maura returned to her mother. However, unexpectedly Erik returned to hold Sila's mother. He laid the middle-aged woman on the bed. "Actually what sick aunt ?" Ask slowly. After making sure if mom please feel comfortable on the mattress.

"Come, Son ! Since morning auntie feels dizzy. It wasn't as painful this morning, so auntie didn't call Maura." Clearly Sila's mother is weak.

"It looks like your high blood is rising. That's why I went to the pharmacy to buy some medicine, before I went to the doctor."  Maura Sahut. He took out the medicine he bought earlier, the same medicine taken by Sila's mother all this time if she felt dizzy.

Erik stared intently at Maura. "And you have no intention of taking him to the doctor ? What's on your mind ? Huh ! " Sanya with a snapping tone.

Maura was terrified to see Erik's face as if it was not friendly. " A—aku has not had time, because home is already afternoon. Be—besok morning, I take it to the doctor. You don't have to involve yourself ! I can do it myself !" Stuttered. Maura felt disappointed mixed with emotions. Why did Erik have to yell at him ? What's the deal with this cold guy ?

Erik did not comment on Maura's rejection of him. He should not have snapped or been angry at Maura. Knowing the real condition he did not know. "Don't give the medicine first, now you better make tea or food for the aunt." Erik stopped Maura's hand from peeling off the medicinal skin. His tone was soft when he saw Maura's hand seem to tremble touching the medicine.

"All right." Maura chose to just obey and look. What would the cold man do.

Erik pressed the name of a person on his phone conversing for a while then disconnected the call. He went back into the room to meet Sila and Maura's mother. There Ibu Sila was helping Maura to drink tea. "The doctor is coming soon. " His voice landed her body on the dressing chair in that room.

"Have you had dinner ?" Erik ignored Maura's words. He felt guilty for being emotionally involved. Erik most anti see people delay to see a doctor.

Maura shook her head slowly. " I'm not hungry yet. But if you're hungry I'll cook for you. In the kitchen there is no food preparation because I have not had time to cook" he said while standing up to go to the kitchen. It was still like his tone was getting flatter and colder. It was too painful to be snapped for no reason that concerned Erik.

"I've eaten ! " Erik stopped Maura's movements. The man grabbed his phone again. While waiting for the doctor. Erik and Maura fell silent without speaking.  Maura's hand was just busy twitching her head without looking at Erik who occasionally noticed her movements.

Outside the house the door sounded on the knock. Maura rushed out of the room and opened the door. A doctor Zevin's age smiled sweetly.

"Home, Miss Maura ? I'm the doctor Yudha Erik called" He asked politely.

"Yes, please come in, doctor." Maura opened the door. Yudha followed Maura's steps straight into Sila's mother's room. Yudha's eyes were fixed on Erik who was sitting on the dresser chair.

"When are you here ?" Ask Yudha. Putting her briefcase on the bed.

"Since a few minutes ago. Check it out, brother. Ask her the answer later. " Reply Erik flat. He looked back at his phone screen.

"It's so annoying." Gerrutu Yudha's. He immediately took out some of the tools he was carrying. Not only checking blood pressure, but also Yudha checking cholesterol and others.

Erik and Maura watched as Yudha's doctor examined Sila's mother. After a few minutes Yudha finished with her task. "How about the doctor ? " Tanya Maura was impatient.

"His blood pressure was high, and his stomach acid was rising." Yudha. " This recipe is just plain rinsed now. " He gave the recipe to Maura. However Erik immediately grabbed the paper and sauntered away without a word.

"Thank you doctor. It's come here." Maura said sincerely. His mood slightly improved after hearing Yudha's explanation of his mother's condition.

"Take no hesitation, introduce my name Yudha." This handsome doctor introduced himself.

Maura returned Yudha's hand. When talking the sound of the door is heard on the knock again. It turned out that the courier was delivering the food. Maura is once again touched by Erik's concern for her and her mother. However, seeing Erik's attitude, Maura again felt annoyed, even though he did not intend to trouble Erik.

Erik came to bring the medicine he redeemed while Maura was preparing food in the kitchen. After making sure everything was in order, Erik and Yudha immediately went home.

Apartments

Della could not close her eyes. His mind glared when he came home with Dias earlier. He had not expected to meet Erik in such a situation. There was guilt in Erik. After his cell phone was on, there were a lot of calls and messages from Erik coming in.

Della felt increasingly uneasy about unintentionally ignoring the cold man. Della's memory returned a few months ago when Erik asked her to come to town, find a job and prepare a decent place to live. There was so much Erik did for her.

"Tomorrow I'll meet him and apologize..."

The clock ticks sound louder as the night gets late. It's quiet for the people who are in the house. However, there are many people out there. Although the clock is pointing at the number twelve but the rupiah seekers still keep their eyes fresh.

Della grabs the photo album Maura gave her, she opens it up a piece. There was a lot of togetherness they went through. Not only that Della also opened an album owned by Rosa, in it there is a photo of both her adoptive parents and Rosa.
