Alula came down the stairs to the kitchen. The house occupied by Ginanjar is no less large than the house owned by Gara. He stepped slowly into the kitchen while carrying a bottle of water belonging to his future father-in-law.
The house is also quite a lot of servants. But no one came closer to the kitchen. Lucky Gara already explained the direction towards the kitchen to him. If not, he would have asked the servants.
"What are you here for?" The cold voice made Alula surprised.
On the dining table chair, Viko sat while staring towards the kitchen entrance.
"I'm taking water for Dad." Answer Alula, calm down. He walked over and poured the water into the bottle he was holding.
Viko smiled in a slant. "You call him Dad? Is it worth it?"
Alula closes the bottle, then turns to look at Viko. "Dad asked me to call him Dad. And that's what makes me feel like I deserve to call him Dad, even though he's not officially his son-in-law yet."
"Don't you just want this family's money like the women out there."
"I'm not them." Reply Alula and be kind to get out. But he stopped his intention and looked back at Viko.
"I know how you feel. You don't have to hide it. He's not a bad guy who won't accept you. No parent wants his child." Alula then left.
I can feel your love for Dad. The look on your face in the two meetings we've been able to explain everything. You have no right to hide your love and choose to get hatred from Dad. You deserve Daddy's love. Inner Alula.
Viko could only fall silent and stare at Alula's back which started to drift away. His heart was worried to hear everything Alula had to say. How the woman knows her feelings. In fact, all this time he has been very neat to hide it. No one knows if he loves his father. All they saw, he was just a naughty, troublesome kid and hated his own father.
Alula who climbed the stairs to Ginanjar's room stopped. There is already Gara who just went down one rung of stairs. The man also stared silently at Alula.
"Why long?" He asked when Alula was right in front of him.
"I met Viko." Alula honest. He did not want to make Gara angry at him again.
"They?"
"Yes. But, he didn't do anything to me. He just stayed at the dinner table."
"If you're silent, why are you in the kitchen that long? Did you get lost in the kitchen? But, I don't think it's possible. You're good at understanding my explanation."
"Gara, listen to me. I'll tell you everything later without missing a single one. I-i promise. But, let's get the water to Dad first." Gentle Alula.
"alright. You have promised. Let's go to Dad's room."
***
Darren, Darrel and Gio were already in their respective rooms. Meanwhile, Gara, she's still in Alula's room. Tonight they stayed at Ginanjar's house. Laura, that woman hasn't been home since.
"The child's mouth is really insolent." Annoyed after hearing Alula's story.
"Don't get angry first. I'm not done telling you."
"Yes. Continue."
"I told her something to make her aware and to show her feelings."
"feelings? What feelings? Feelings of liking you?" Because I don't accept. His sense of shame increased.
"No. Listen to me first." Alula. "I can see how unfortunately Viko is with Dad. She hid it and tried to make Dad hate her."
"I don't believe."
"I believe and I am sure. On the day of the proposal, I saw Viko's affectionate look at Dad. I also saw Viko's sad face as Dad spoke warmly to you. And today, Viko's facial changes are very obvious when it comes to saying Dad's asthma is relapsing."
"You're paying close attention to him. But, why did he make me dislike him."
"That's what I was thinking. I think he's ashamed and he feels inappropriate. Maybe there's another factor that makes him feel that way." Alula.
The woman looked at Gara. "How to."
"Hmm." His call did not make Gara look back at him.
"Speak to her." The words made Gara look at him. The man raised next to his eyebrows not understanding.
"Why?"
"Huufths... Talk to him well. For all, he is your brother. He's a good boy. There was just something wrong with the way he thought. You as his family, as a brother is also responsible for educating him. Don't let him lose his parents' love. We never know how his mother gave him affection. And it's our job to help him get what he should get."
Because he was silent for a moment, then rubbed Alula's hair slowly. He smiled looking at the woman. "alright. I'll try."
"Thank you." Alula said, hugging Gara.
"Is that just your thank you?"
Alula loosened her embrace, then looked at Gara. "Continue?"
"Give me one kiss."
"Hoaam... I'm so sleepy. Next time, will you?" Alula tried to avoid.
"What relation? You kiss me for a while and then go to sleep. Would you have trouble sleeping if you kissed me?"
"Don't be reckless."
"Yes, come on! Think of it as a good night." Saying Gara. He brought his cheeks closer so he could kiss Alula.
The woman slowly brought her face closer to Gara. When his face almost touched Gara's cheek, the man turned his face towards Alula. Surprised the woman, for it was not Gara's cheek that she kissed, but Gara's lips.
"Why did you turn around?" Alula asked for a moment after keeping her face away from Gara.
"I was intentional." Answer's relaxed. "It has. Let's sleep. I'll be back." He then kissed Alula's forehead, and walked out with his little bitterness.
I didn't choose the wrong woman. Inner Gara.
While in front of Ginanjar's room, Viko paced back and forth between wanting to enter or return to his room.
"How's this? Are you asleep or not?" Viko Gumam.
"I'm just going in." Then he went into Ginanjar's room.
Viko closed the door and walked over to the bed. He saw the face of Ginanjar who had fallen asleep.
"I know, Dad never loved Mom. I also know, Mom just used Dad for the fun of her life. But did you ever think about me. I love you, especially Dad. But, that you can never see. I don't blame Dad. All of that was my fault. I'm the one who made Dad not look at me one bit." His word.
"Dad knows, what makes me dislike Gara? It's all because he's the one who always ignores Daddy's affection. He's so cocky to ignore all of Dad's kindness. While I was, I kept hoping to get Dad's attention. If I'm given one chance, I'm gonna beat him up for doing that to Dad."
"May sleep Daddy restful. And may Dad get well soon. I love you, Dad. Good night." He said and walked out.
Viko slowly closed the door and went down the stairs. Upon arriving at the last step, Viko was faced with the figure of Gara standing looking at her expressionlessly.
"Follow me!" The man told Viko.
"I have nothing to do with you. I'm so sleepy."
"You have no right to argue." Gara said, but Viko ignored him and continued walking.
"Where else are you walking, get out of this house and never see Dad."
Viko stopped immediately. Not because he was afraid to leave the house, but he could not if forbidden to meet his father.
"To your room." Saying to walk past Viko.
The man snorted violently while watching the back of Gara who was walking towards his room. With his gloomy look, he followed Gara towards the room.
"Sit down." Gara orders Viko when he arrives at Viko's room.
"I own this room. I should have told you that." Viko's reply was unacceptable.
"I don't care. Sit down!" Viko according to him. It was just that his eyes kept staring at the enemy Gara.
"What do you want? If she asks about my mother, she won't be home in a few days. He's on vacation with his friends." Viko's speech is so flat.
"Little child." Said Gara while smiling sideways.
"I'm 21 years old."
"Yes, but you're still like a child."
"Whatchu mean? Does flirting with your future wife show me a child?"
"Huh, you remind me. I wonder why you teased Alula that time? Didn't your mother say you already had a lover."
"Huh, lover? Don't believe his words. I don't have a lover. After all, I was just luring you to beat me up. And I can get back to teaching you without having to find an excuse." He said with an angry face. Without him noticing, a faint smile appeared on Gara's lips. He did not expect his half-brother to be able to say that honestly.
"So, you just want to beat me up?"
"Yes. Why why anyway? You always pissed me off for being so cold to me." Her speech.
"Do you love him?"
Viko's face changed immediately. His mouth was locked tightly not wanting to answer Gara's question.
"Why silence?" Further.
"It must be the woman who told you, right?"
"Not that woman, but my future wife."
"Just the same." The reply.
For taking his breath. This is the first time he has spoken to Viko like a sister. All this time, he kept ignoring the boy and allowed him to do as he pleased. Making Viko the figure he sees today.
"Look! I want to talk seriously with you." Saying Gara. His eyes turned serious.
"I don't know how you really feel. But, Alula is able to feel your feelings. And I believe what he says. You said it, he told me. He also asked me to see you. She's..."
"You want to talk to me just because he told you to, right?"
"Yes. He asked me. But, I'm here as your family too."
"family? You consider me family?"
"Hmm."
"Do you consider me your sister?"
"Yes. Wh why? Don't you like it?"
"No-no. I'm so glad you consider me a sister."
"Why are you so happy?"
"Obviously, I'm very happy. If you think of me as a brother, then I'll see you as his son. I've always followed all your will." He said with a sad face. His heart aches when he remembers that.
"Listen. After all, you're still Dad's son. Dad's cold attitude doesn't mean you don't think you're a kid. There may be a reason behind his attitude. Your job is to try to get better and show your love to Dad. Don't hide behind your disrespect. Let me know how you love it."
Viko's eyes glazed over hearing every speech Gara. The first time he got support from someone. Someone who had made him feel envious of what he never got.
"Thank you, brother." Said Viko, directly hugging Gara.
"It has. We are family. It should remind each other."
Viko took off her embrace and wiped her almost dripping tears. This is inseparable from the attention of Gara.
"You crying?"
"No."
"Come on, be honest. You're mys, right?"
"Yes. I'm menagical. Why why anyway? You talk a lot too. Usually you can only beat, stare and glare."
"You're this, really like a kid. It's there, sleep! I'll be back."
"Yes. Say thank you to brother-in-law."
"Tell yourself."
"I don't guarantee I won't tease her."
"And I promise to cut off your tongue and gouge out your eyes if you dare to tease him." Gara then closed the door to Viko's room a little hard. It made the 21-year-old chuckle to see it.
Thank you, sister-in-law. Inner Viko.
