Farewell

Bernad and his small family have occupied his new home, although it seems far simpler than where he used to live, but they are happier. There was no sadness, disappointment, and emptiness in it.

Bernad was sincere, and received with Papa's will which he had received. Although he only earned 20% of all Papa Thomas's legacy Assets, he felt grateful and that was more than enough for his small family. Bernad was already feeling calm, the person who had made his Papa die had already received the appropriate reward.

Every day Bernad went to work as usual. In the office, he does his duties as deputy CEO well. In fact, he always followed the orders of the CEO who was his brother, obediently and responsibly. Not infrequently he always replaces the CEO meeting with clients, because the CEO often leaves his job.

Everything Bernad did, was always wrong in the eyes of Charles, even though many big tenders were won by Bernad if he advanced to compete with other competitors. Charles only underestimated his brother, not even infrequently he bullied him. Charles seemed not satisfied to do that, but his sister was very obedient and loving. Since Mama Merry returned to live in her husband's house, it has been a few months since she felt lonely living alone. Only the waiter always accompanied her, and took care of all her needs. He misses the figure of his son and daughter-in-law, even his grandson, Ashafa, who is beautiful, funny, and adorable.

"Bernad, Nurlaila, Ashafa. I miss you, hik. hik.. " Mama Merry muttered in her tears, she missed them so much but her prestige was too high to admit it.

Sofia and Billy sometimes visit once a week, but they do not stay there just accompany Mama merry during the weekend. While Charles rarely visited, he preferred to spend his time drunk and playing with women.

Actually Bernad often visited Mama Merry's house, but he only asked the news of his mother to the house security, sometimes the housekeeper Mama Merry if met. Bernad sometimes brought Mama Merry's favorite food, and just send greetings without entering his house. It was not that Bernad did not want to see her, yet he did not want if they met to be quarreling like the previous days.

Bernad's small family is always happy, they spend the weekend eating together in a restaurant that is fairly ordinary for the size of a vice CEO. But Bernad did not take the blame, as long as the food was good and the place was comfortable, they were not ashamed to come to that place. Nurlaila and Asyafa never complained about the problem, they were happy as long as their holiday was spent together.

"Darling..." Call Bernad to his wife.

"Heem.. What's up?" Nurlaila asked, looking at her husband at a glance while scooping rice on a plate for her husband.

"Father is no longer strong to survive in the Charles Sister Company, it seems like Dad wants to establish his own Company with inherited capital from Papa Thomas. If need be, Dad built a company in electronics like Papa Thomas overseas. What do you think, baby? " Sniff complained about his wish.

Instantly Nurlaila flinched, looking at her husband's astonishment. Up to the spoon in his hand, it fell to the floor.

"Why, baby? You're okay, aren't you?" Bernad asked in confusion, seeing his wife so shocked by his complaints, while waking up from his seat and little Ashafa looked in wonder.

"T. It's okay, baby." Nurlaila bumbling.

"Ooh. kirain, you're okay." Bernad said as he sat back down.

"Do you really seriously want to get out of the Charles Brother Company?" Ask Nurlaila again.

"Yes.. I'm serious." Steady speech.

"Related?" Ask Nurlaila again.

"Related." Bernad parroted his wife's words.

"Then, what if we go back to Mother Country? Country Indonesia, the birthplace of Mother. We built a small company first, if it has developed it will definitely go forward and big." Said Ibu Nurlaila excited.

"So, is Mom there still a family? Aren't your parents gone?" Bernad asked with a serious face.

"There, they're Uncle and Aunt Mom, and Mom's niece." Answer Nurlaila for sure.

"Well, let's move to Indonesia." Bernad said sure.

"Okay, baby." Nurlaila replied with a fluffy smile.

"You will have many friends in Indonesia, dear Mother and Father's son. Tomorrow I'll take care of your school move, Ashafa." Said Bernad's father and Nurlaila's mother while creating their harmony.

"Good.. ! Now I'm happy, having you as my little family. Thank you my wife, and my dear son, cup. cup.." Said Bernad's father as he kissed the cheeks of his wife and child alternately.

Finally they returned home in the afternoon, after spending the weekend taking a leisurely walk and eating in a simple yet memorable restaurant.

"Father, after the business of Ashafa school transfer letters, passport cards, Visa cards, citizenship transfer letters, and letters to establish the Company abroad is completed, we take the opportunity to say goodbye to Mama's house first. Then don't forget to file a resignation letter from Brother Charles's company." Nurlaila reminded him clearly and in detail.

"Okay baby, don't worry." Bernad said for sure, as he put his thumbs up in the air.

Two weeks later, all important papers were taken care of and ready to leave the Dutch homeland. Bernad and his family went to Mama Merry's house to say goodbye before the day of his departure for Indonesia.

"Good day Mom, sorry Mom, Bernad can only visit here now." Sapa Bernad, while kissing the back of Mama Merry's hands reverent, then followed by his wife and child.

"Good day too Mama's child, yes.it's okay, Mama knows you're busy. But Mama is grateful, you still want to come here, even though only send greetings and food with Mr. Security Guard and Housekeeper. Hik. hik.." Mama Merry said, while receiving their helping hand and crying, just as Bernad and Nurlail cried, then they hugged Mama Merry alternately.

"Mom.. Don't be like this, we feel guilty and even sadder if Mom is like this." Bernad said, wiping his mother's tears.

"Mom knows you're going far, don't you? You resigned from your sister's office a week ago." Ask Mama Merry.

"Yes.. Mom, I'm sorry we didn't tell Mom before." Bernad replied with regret.

"Yes, just go... Mama can't stop you either, can she?" Mama Merry said.

"I'm sorry Mom, this separation has to happen" said Nurlaila Lirih, while resting at the feet of her mother-in-law, then followed by her husband.

"Once you've been, get up." Mama Merry said, touching their backs softly.

Not long after Charles and his wife and children visited Mama Merry's house, the eyes of Charles and Bernad each other implied vengeance in Charles' heart.

"Ciiieeh. pretentious, obedient, pretentious, yet rotten. Try Mama thought, Sister would leave Mama to go to the country of his wife who is the unlucky bearer huh..!" Maki Charles to Bernad and his wife.

Bernad and his wife were just unmoved, they did not respond to Charles' babbling at all, though his heart was so sick with his words.

"Charles, enough... ! Mama doesn't want to hear and see your quarrel." Pinta Mama Merry begged Charles to be quiet and not to start a fight.

"Mom. we can not stay here for long, there are still many needs that must be prepared for our departure." Pamit Bernad followed by his wife.

"Silver Sofia, sister said yes first. Sorry if you're wrong." Bernad shakes hands and is followed by his wife and children.

"Yes.. Sister, Brother Sofia pray that you are safe there, and happy always." Sincere prayers from Sofia while welcoming their handshake.

"Dear Billy, take care of Mama Sofia. You are the superhero Mama Sofia." Nurlaila's message to her niece.

"Yes.. Aunty, Billy will always take care of Mama." Billy's promise was made by Nurlaila and her husband. Instantly, Sofia and Mama Merry smiled happily at Billy's words.

"Sister.. Brother apologizes if it makes Brother disappointed, because Sister has resigned suddenly from the Company. Sister just asks, please take good care of Mama. We're clearance to leave, thanks." Bernad lirih.

Charles shook his head, not a word came out of his mouth.

Then they left Mama Merry's house, with mixed feelings. Sadness, haru, happiness and annoyance all they feel.
