Mama Merry's Hatred

Mama Merry fainted, then taken to the ER room to be given medical treatment. Then the doctor did an examination, and it turned out that Mama Merry only experienced a heavy shock, when she heard that her husband had died.

"Mom's... Mom, you're sober?" Asked Charles, who saw his mother begin to open her eyes slowly.

"Darling, why is Mama here? Where are the others? Papa Thomas, is it true t... no?" Mama Merry asked with a trembling voice.

"Yes.. Mom, Papa's gone." Charles replied, looking into Mama Merry's eyes.

"Where are Bernad and his wife?" Mama Merry asked for their whereabouts.

"They went back to Mom's house, to take care of Papa's funeral, to keep Papa quiet in the grave there. Because of his sudden death, caused by Brother." Charles replied while slandering his own brother.

"You don't just talk, do you have proof that your sister did it all?" Ask Mama Merry Gamang.

"In fact, Mom, Papa was last in his study with Sister, Papa had a heart attack and died immediately." Charles replied while playing with a fake story.

"If your sister did that, on what basis would she do it?" Ask Mama Merry who still does not believe in Charles' accusation.

"On the basis of Mom's greed and office, perhaps such a sister at the request of his wife. Mom knows for herself not, if his wife's sister's a pesky carrier. Wasn't it when they got married, we didn't have anyone to agree with the decision that Brother made, Mom?" At the residence of Papa Thomas, all the extended family had gathered to carry out a funeral procession for Papa Thomas. Neighbors, business colleagues Papa Thomas, employees of the Papa Thomas Company and business competitors Papa Thomas even came to offer condolences to the families left behind.

After the service, to release Papa Thomas to his final resting place by the Pentecostal Jama'at Church, Mama Merry and Charles had just arrived at Papa Thomas's residence. Mama Merry immediately walked up to the chest containing the body of her husband with puffy eyes and full of tears of sadness.

"Dear father, why did you leave me so soon? Hik. hik.." Mama Merry said softly, holding back her sobs that began to flood her entire cheeks. That is, a woman who is strong not to cry and fall, while in residence by her husband for ever.

"DEPART... ! Mama doesn't want to be touched by your dirty hands." Maki Mama Merry was angry, while brushed off the rough hand of Bernad who had touched his arm.

Bernad was surprised by what he heard from his mother's mouth, whom he had known and loved.

"What made her mother like this? Is it possible that Mama thought that Papa died because of me?" Bathin Bernad wondered.

"Mom, what are you saying?" Bernad asked, who was astonished by the attitude of his Mother who suddenly hated him.

Mama Merry did not answer Bernad's question, she continued to sit on the floor. Many pairs of eyes that look towards Mama Merry with a look of pity, sadness and haru.

Charles smiled at the devil, when he saw Mama Merry clasping Bernad's hand and saying rudely to him. His heart cheered in delight as his plan worked this time. He walked over to Mama Merry.

"Come on Mom, wake up." Charles said with a sad expression.

Charles then embraces Mama Merry who has been resting on the floor, by inviting him to sit on a chair. Mama Merry did not reject Charles' invitation, even Mama Merry so warmly welcomed Charles' hand gently.

Bernad flirted, with Charles' attitude so attentive to Mama Merry. That all this time Bernad knew, Charles was bodo, arrogant and opposition to Mama and Papa. Although Charles is inversely proportional to Bernad, but Mama, and Papa, also Bernad, still love Charles well.

Finally, the funeral procession for Papa Thomas was solemn and peaceful. The Mourners and Jama'ah of the Church, one by one leave Papa Thomas' final resting place.

Bernad's family and Charles's family, still faithfully waiting for Mama Merry who was still at home for a long time, sat in the maelstrom of her late husband. After a few hours, Mama Merry fell unconscious from exhaustion and her fragile heart.

"Mom's... " Call Bernad who will lift the body of Mama Merry, but on the edge by Charles.

Bernad could not say anything more, his wife Nurlaila comforted Bernad by rubbing his back gently.

"Patience, dear." Nurlaila said full of tenderness, grasping her husband's hand tightly.

Then Charles took Mama Merry in his car, with help from his wife and child to accompany him to the nearest hospital. Bernad and his wife and children also accompanied them to the Hospital by using his car.

When moments after Mama Merry woke up from her stupor, Bernad wanted to try talking and get close to her. But his desire stalled, when Mama Merry screamed hysterically at the sight of Bernad.

"Go away. go you son of the ungodly." Shouted Mama screeching loudly.

"Mom... !" Call Bernad lirih.
