Floriography: Red Roses

Floriography: Red Roses
Chapter 1

“Yes, no need to be formal-formal, just relax like you are chatting.” Shouted a man with his camera up. His dark brown hair poked out from behind the camera.

The man was standing right in front of the gate of Notre Dame in front of which stood a pair of men and women in bridal clothes. The man was looking for the right side. At his side was another man holding a large glass and at his other side a man aimed a large fan at the bride. He took a few more photos, before finally nodding to himself.

“OK! We're gonna take a lunch break, and come back here at four in a casual dress. Don't forget, bride

women give red shirts, and men do not need to wear tuxedos, wear white shirts only. We're gonna go for the Golden Hour Notre Dame, then after that we're gonna head for Eiffel. Thanks.” Directions.

Tired groans began to be heard from all sides of Notre Dame's courtyard. Only the bride and groom still look fresh and excited. The crowd of photo staff began to disperse one by one, as well as the bride.

Louis Troya is not really a famous photographer, he just accidentally became famous when a famous sports magazine needed a photographer for the World Cups page. They had wanted to contact Luis Trevor, a senior who had been far above Louis Troya who had taken photos of the Olympic Games a few years ago with extraordinary results, but they were misread, and Louis

Troy was called to take photos of the World Cups. But luck is on his side when the results of his shots exceed client expectations, and after that photo requests start to arrive.

“Louis.”

The man who was checking his picture turned his head as he felt his name being called. Behind him stood a man whose face looked a few years older than his, thrusting a black cell phone.

“There's a phone call for you. He said from Jasper Kendrick. You never told me that you knew him.” The man protested before putting his phone in Louis' open palm. Louis grinned.

“Later me story.” He said before putting the phone to his ear. “Jasper!”

“Hello, Louis. You been busy? That was your assistant, right? He said you were in France.”

“Yes, you could say so. We have a wedding photo session here. What was? Tumben once you call me during the day like this.”

“Siang? Oh, you're right in France. I'm in Hawaii right now, we're twelve hours apart.”

“Hawaii? Now I ask, what are you doing in Hawaii?” Louis signaled his assistant and the rest of the crew to go first for food, then walked up to Notre Dame's terrace and sat there.

“Short holidays, all playing with my friends.”

Louis chuckled, spontaneously he immediately felt like vacation. “Happy so you. Then get to the point. What's the matter you called me?”

*“Oh yes\, I almost forgot. Me and my fiancee want to make**brand*new. The theme is casual dress to open to the middle to upper market. Plus J&K has also started ordering many wedding dresses from the top so I really need help. I want you to be my photographer for the release of the catalogs, how about?”

Louis smiled broadly at the offer. “You're kidding? Of course I want to!”

Jasper laughed. “I know you'll be enthusiastic. Oh yeah, but I'm not only asking for help taking pictures, but also for the model. The designs I had to make were not small, so I would not have time to look for models. Of the approximately thirty designs I made, five were stitched and two were not to my liking. I'll be busy taking care of it. So I hope you don't mind helping me find the model.”

Louis nodded, as if he was talking face-to-face with the fashion designer who is being mentioned in the media lately.

“Of course, I don't mind, I actually already have someone I think about.”

“Really? Good then. But think about the cost too. I will not be able to pay you and with the model if the model is too expensive.” Jasper laughed again, this time louder and longer.

Louis laughed as well, he was too enthusiastic about this offer.

“I don't think this model will be too cheap, but I can help the cost. If until I manage to bring it to be your model, I am willing to take pictures without being paid.”

“Don't joke, Lou, who is this amazing model?”

“You must know, Gracy Manson?” Louis' smile grew.

Louis nodded, glad his idea was agreed with ease.

“But I don't think it'll be that easy to get Grace Manson. My fiancee was a close friend of her sister's, and even she herself used to say Grace never had time to meet her family. I think you better set up a backup model.”

Louis' smile was still floating. His mind is round, he'll get Gracy Manson for his model, no matter what. No one else can replace Gracy Manson in her head.

“You don't have to worry, Jasp, you just need to design and I'm the one who will bring Gracy Manson to you.”

“Really yes? All right, I'll leave it to you. I want to take a shower first, let me know about your development.”

“OK. See you later.”

Jasper replies to Louis with a closing sentence whose volume slowly shrinks, and the phone line disconnects. Louis sighed, then stood up and put his phone in his pocket. The Paris afternoon sky is indeed beautiful, supported by the vintage atmosphere brought by the surrounding Notre Dame. Louis did not mind to look longer, but his stomach that began to sting should be filled. He stood up and started running small towards the restaurant not far from its location.

As soon as he walked into the restaurant, the boisterous atmosphere and delicate fragrance of cheese instantly filled his senses. Louis sat down and ordered, dumbstruck until his order was delivered to his desk when his photo team had almost all finished their meal.

How did Louis get Gracy Manson? Jasper's right, getting Gracy Manson couldn't have been that easy. He just won an award yesterday. As far as Louis is concerned, Gracy is still promoting her new song, plus she is still shooting a drama series. While the modeling request is certainly still done Gracy.

Louis argued with himself. But he was already too sure, there would be no one who could fulfill his request better than Gracy at this point.

“Lou!”

The young photographer turned to his left side. Paul's confused face welcomed his assistant. “You order food to see or to eat anyway? Hurry on! Our time is limited."

Louis sighed deeply, before stabbing his fork into the pile of pasta, then scooping it and eating it a little.

“Paul..” Call Lou to his manager without turning his head.

“Hm?”

“Do you know Gracy Manson?” Finally Lou voiced his thoughts.

“Grace Manson? Not particularly. I mean I met him once, and his manager was pretty close to me. What's wrong with him?”

Louis smiled broadly. “I was taken by Jasper Kendrick to be the design photographer. She said she and her fiance would pull out a new catalog that I needed to photograph and look for the model. Given the design of Jasper, I'm sure there won't be another model that could be more suitable than Gracy Manson.” Louis' eyes sparkled with admiration. Grace's elegance in Jasper's signature feminine-modeled fabrics will be incredible, but Louis knows the obstacles too.

Paul's eyes widen, “Jasper Kendrick offers cooperation? That's a big step, Lou! But..” Paul sighed and then patted the shoulder of Louis who turned to his manager.

"There's a lot I want to say to you about Gracy Manson and the reasons you have to put your intentions down. But obviously, this is not the right time. Gracy isn't a model."

Louis clicked his tongue. He knew everyone would think so. But he insisted.

“So much as you say. But I'll get Grace my own way. So can I get manager Gracy's phone number? Let me take care of it from there.”

Paul pulled out his shoulders and went back to eating. “Whatever you say, Lou. Other than that, this Gracy Manson manager is a bit rese.”

Louis did not take the last warning. Serese whatever manager Gracy still thinks nothing is impossible.

Louis Troya to photograph Gracy Manson. That's the final decision.
