Jeslin began to get busy with all the preparations for Latvia. His novel was glimpsed by one of the production houses and will be lifted to the glass screen. It was the best achievement he had ever achieved so far. For Jeslin, writing a novel was one form of escape from the world. Achieve what he cannot achieve, and form a life that he can manage at will. Jeslin is God in his own novel. Whether it will end happily or end up suffering, only Jeslin knows. In the end, though, there were every wound and tear in every novel he wrote. Especially about farewell. Either separated by death or separated by circumstances.
All his life, Jeslin had never dated. Jeslin is too closed in love affairs. Although not uncommon, many peers who put their hearts on him. For Jeslin, falling in love is not an easy thing that he can manage. He has never felt love itself. But instead he is very adept at playing feelings in his novel.
"Package!" screams of the voice of the man who entered the production room. In that room there were many employees working. They are only given a divider between the table one to the other table. The partition must be just a formality. The bulkhead is only as high as an adult so that every employee can easily see into the corner of the room.
Time and time again the delivery officer came. Delivery of manuscripts, and some goods do require delivery couriers, and it is common here. Not only that, every employee who wants to order food will certainly be easier to order via online, and they do not need to leave the office, because the courier will deliver.
Jeslin was busy with a pile of scripts. Not hers, but that of another writer whom she had to research. The process of printing a digital novel into a conventional novel, does require a long process. From the selection of a decent manuscript. The grammar in terms of PUEBI, storyline, all require the accuracy of the editor to revise which parts of the novel chapter are still not good and precise. Later the author will be asked to fix it again, then sent to the publisher. The revision process certainly takes more time.
Jeslin had to finish the job before he went to Latvia. Responsibility as an editor cannot be left alone. Now he has to be overtime for the job.
"Package, Non." A man's voice did not distract Jeslin from the flat screen before him.
"Put it on the table, sir," said Jeslin not even a glance at the figure.
"Miss Jeslin, right?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Please accept the package. Please sign it too, yeah."
"Where's the package?"
A bouquet of flowers appeared before him. White roses with a distinctive aroma that makes him immediately look at the object and reach for it.
"From who?" asked Jeslin and looked at the courier. He then glared so knowing that the man who had been pretending to be a courier was Ben. "Why are you here?" jeslin was confused.
"Package drop. Please sign the receipt, Miss," asked Ben to give a pen and then thrust his palm at Jeslin.
Jeslin was confused. Finally Ben grabbed Jeslin's right hand, to hold his pen. "Look the hand."
"Hm?"
"Guard, signature as evidence is accepted."
"Received what?"
"Yes the flower."
Jeslin looked at Ben a moment ago and shook his head. But he complied with the young man's request by placing his signature on Ben's left palm.
Finished Jeslin inscribed his signature, Ben looked at his palm fixedly. She smiles. Tapo's forehead wrinkled. "Some one forgot," said Ben, again thrusting his hand.
"What?" Jeslin was confused.
"Where's his bullet?"
"What moji?"
"Hand of heart."
"Huh? Heart mark? Mean you?"
"Not knowing either! The gini," said Ben then thrust the index finger and thumb in the link to form the heart. "Well, put it here," pinta Ben pointed at the empty space next to Jeslin's signature.
Jeslin seemed hesitant to obey Ben." Lazy ah! It's there. I'm still working. Don't disturb!" jeslin's Nagel.
"Work what? What time is it now?" ask Ben.
Jeslin stared at the clock on his wrist, and it turned out that the clock was already showing lunch time. "Ben, I'm gonna ask you a question."
"Ask what?"
"You don't work, do you? Why do you often appear gini? Don't you have a company? Who's taking care of it?"
"Who do I say has the company?"
"Daniel."
"That's my parents' company. I only have a taekwondo sanggar. Small smallness. If it's in the company, it's just help Papa. So you don't have to stay there."
Then why are you always here? No other activities?" ask Jeslin.
"No. You forgot it again for sure. I promise you, I'll take you to lunch. Now I keep that promise."
"Not legitimate to bother ah. I can have my own lunch. I often take lunch. I thought it was yesterday."
"I don't bother. Yes yuk, we have lunch. Oh yeah, where do the flowers go?" ben asked with a look, while Jeslin only took a deep breath facing the attitude of Ben who did not care about all forms of rejection.
In accordance with Ben's promise some time ago, he really always came to Jeslin and invited him to lunch. But this time they were just the two of them. The only place they choose is in the cafeteria near the office. It was also Jeslin's choice because he was lazy to go too far. His work was still piling up, and he couldn't possibly use all his break time for lunch.
But for Ben it's not a problem. Because it's not a place that makes him feel happy, but with whom he's there. Ben really likes Jeslin, even though the girl is not Ben's first love. But Jeslin is the only woman who makes all of Ben's organs churn. Ben just felt that way. Even on his ex who had been present in his life, never once had Ben felt the same. That's why Ben keeps getting close to Jeslin. Ben's outpouring of heart on the banner yesterday was the real thing. Ben wanted to see Jeslin every day. He couldn't, if just a day didn't see Jeslin. Jeslin himself was not. Even Jeslin didn't feel anything special with Ben. Except for the sense of security. Evidently when Ian was about to approach him again and Ben was the one who had made Ian retreat. At least Jeslin is safe from Ian if Ben is by his side.
They enjoy lunch dishes accompanied by blistering weather at sea as well as the strains of romantic music in the canteen. Some of the employees at the Jeslin working place also ate at this place. Usually the employees will eat in the cafeteria when the date approaches old. The price of food in the cafeteria is fairly cheap than other cafes or restaurants.
"When did you leave?"
"Where?"
"Latvia."
"Late this month. That's why I have to finish my job here before I leave."
"How long?"
"Eum, probably a year."
"Must be there? Why not just shoot here?"
"Because I took the setting of the setting where he was there. Not here."
Ben grunts as hell. He was a little disappointed because he knew Jeslin would soon go far and long enough to leave Indonesia.
"Why?" ask Jeslin.
"I must be missing. What if I miss?"
"Where do I know."
"Eh, ask for your phone number," Ben immediately picked up his phone and looked at Jeslin expectantly.
Jeslin just stared at Ben, who kept staring at him.
"Here," Jeslin pinta on Ben. He grabbed Ben's phone and typed his number. After that the phone was handed back to Ben. The young man was certainly very happy, but soon Jeslin's cell phone rang. "That's my number" said Ben.
Jeslin only pulled one corner of his lips and ignored it, instead continuing his lunch.
______
"I'm so tired!" jeslin said as soon as he arrived at the apartment. He immediately threw his body on the sofa.
The kitchen sounds crowded. Since he entered, Astrid was seen pacing back and forth in the kitchen making something. The aroma of cooking smelled at the base of Jeslin's nose. His eyes were too heavy to open again. Without taking off her work clothes, she grabbed the pillow on the sofa and hugged it tightly. He was hungry, but he was also sleepy, and what Jeslin chose was sleep.
Someone's cold hand was clinging onto Jeslin's right cheek. Makes the girl blink but closes her eyes tighter. "Feed it, Miss Writer. I'm sure you haven't had dinner. Don't eat, yeah. Your stomach will recur later" said Astrid, who now looks more like her mother than a friend.
"eat? What are you cooking, Trid?" Kali inu Jeslin was attracted to the smell of the food Astrid mentioned. He sat down, fixing his hair and tying it up.
The dining table looked full of dishes and bowls. Astrid is still busy arranging the table with a variety of colorful food. Soon the door of Jeslin's apartment was knocked. Jeslin knew who the guests were. Because including people who are anti-mainstream. Usually if there are guests who visit his apartment, then the doorbell will ring. But not for Daniel. Daniel would rather knock on the door three times. If there is no truth from within, he will knock again three times. So next.
"Geez, you sure as hell haven't taken a shower? Just home?" daniel asked without being asked.
"Hey, why did you have to knock on the door? Do you know what my door code is?"
"Look. But I'm a beggar opening the door. Hehe." Daniel came closer to the dinner table.
"Hi, Dan!" exciting Astrid. The two of them hugged each other for a long time. Daniel and Astrid were also quite close. Because Astrid is no longer Jeslin's friend, but it is considered family. Daniel was considered his own brother.
"Well, it's delicious" said Daniel, staring one by one at their hot, still hot dinner.
"You told him to come?" ask Jeslin to Astrid.
"Yes. I miss Daniel too, not just you!"
"Hm. Yayayaa. Yes, I took a shower first" said Jeslin about to go to his room.
"Eh, I'll take a shower. Eat first!" get Astrid.
"Yes, Brother. Mending eat first. Eating together is better" Daniel said. Finally the three of them immediately ate dinner with a special menu made by Astrid.
Various exciting and fun chats are presented on the table. Daniel, Astrid, and Jeslin engage in a conversation about each other's lives. Until Jeslin plans to go to Latvia. Daniel was so happy with the good news, so was Astrid.
"Eh, And ... Temen you why the hell, deketin I continue?" asked Jeslin who immediately remembered someone once discussing Latvia.
"Temen me? Wh who? Which one?" daniel asked confused.
"Ben."
"Ben? What's Ben doing, brother?" Daniel was confused when he talked about his best friend. Because Daniel does not know about Ben's feelings for his brother. Although he could guess, but Daniel did not understand the direction of Jeslin's conversation at this time.
"She always comes to my sister's office, almost every day."
"God! What's he doing?" daniel asked, surprised by his brother's words.
"Take lunch."
"Huh?" Daniel looked at Astrid who was listening to this conversation while eating. "Seriously, Brother? How I don't know. Ben didn't say anything either. How long is it? And brother wants to go with him?"
"Just twice anyway. Oh three, three times I met Ben at the office. Ben's crazy, huh?"
"Crazy ben? Meanin?"
"When did she say she liked her sister?"
"Huh? Pfftt ...." Daniel laughed out loud when he heard that. "Seriously, Brother? Ben told brother how?"
"Yes said that anyway. He said he likes his brother. Just ... How yes. She's weird. Ngejar. Keep appearing. She gave me a bouquet of flowers."
"Where are the flowers?" astrid asked while looking.
"I live at the office desk. Lazy mah brought. Difficult."
"Well, crazy is this kid. Indeed, Ben once told me, if he likes the same brother. Oh no! Not that he told me, but I asked him."
"What are you asking?"
"I've known him for a long time. So understand ya, about Ben's movements all this time. Well, when my brother came to my office, Ben was there too. I can guess that Ben likes brother. I just didn't think it would be so aggressive. "
"So far, he asked me about Latvia. Ben Gini said, 'later if I miss you, how?' Sister confused dong."
"What do you say, Lin?" ask Astrid curiously.
"I told you, whatever."
Daniel and Astrid laughed. Daniel pictured Ben's face as his brother said that. While Astrid feels this story is the sweetest thing Jeslin told her. Because Astrid had never heard of a man who managed to get close to Jeslin in a long time. Usually, most men would retreat from the first day of approaching Jeslin. So Ben was the first man to successfully annoy Jeslin. That's exactly a good thing. Because of Jeslin's cold demeanor that made him look terrible and made the people who intended to approach him immediately turn right.
Jeslin's strings ringing. There was a message coming in from an unknown number. He ignored it, thinking it was a prank message from someone he didn't know. Another message came in and was simply glimpsed by the girl. Until finally some other messages began to meet the notification hapenya. But there was one sentence that made him very interested.
[They won't bother you anymore. So you don't worry.]
Jeslin frowned, then grabbed the flat object and opened the oesna. There were about 20 messages he had not read and all of his senders were the same number. Jeslin opened the messages one by one to find out who the sender was and what he meant by Ian.
Jeslin finally knows who the sender is. He certainly is Ben. A madman in love with Jeslin. Daniel and Astrid seemed to be chatting. Jeslin eventually became more interested in the sender of the message. He also retaliated.
[What do you mean? This who?]
[Ha? You don't know who I am? So my number you didn't keep? Diabolically. 🥲]
Finally Jeslin understood and immediately recognized who the sender of the mysterious message on his phone. He left, and there was no long phone call from Ben.
Jeslin walked towards the balcony, as soon as he got there he looked back inside, where his sister and best friend were still chatting.
The screen she swiped up. He put it on his right ear.
"Yes?"
"Hi , Jes. You're home, right?"
"Udah. What did you mean, Ben?"
"About Ian?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"I just want to say, you don't have to be afraid of Ian anymore. I promise he won't bother you anymore."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes. If he shows up again, you call me directly."
"Have you seen Ian?"
"Yes, Jes. I ... I know everything."
"You mean?"
"About Ian."
Jeslin was silent for a moment. Mind fucked. The question Jeslin is asking right now is how Ben found out about himself with Ian. So what did Ben think after knowing this. Jeslin.
"How do you know?"
"I met him at his usual karaoke place hanging out. I know all. Maybe for a while he won't show up again, but if he comes bothering you next time, you tell me, yeah."
"When he won't show up again? Why why?"
"What is it. Yes, you rest. Must be tired, just got home from work. You ate, right?"
"Udah."
"OKAY. Good night, Jeslin."
Jeslin did not answer, and the call ended. Jeslin still didn't understand Ben's words just now. But one thing Jeslin believes, if after this surely Ben will start to keep his distance with him. That's certain. Ben knew what was going on between him and Ian. It means this problem could have reached Daniel's ears.
Jeslin turned to the dining table. Where the brother looked happy. Jeslin did not want to ruin that with the problem that had happened because of Ian.
