Ch. 19 - Yue Xiaowu III
Two hours later, Fei Yin finished her spear training and went to a tree far enough away from her then sat down below her to catch her breath.
“Hup-!” a little girl descended from the top of the tree and shocked Fei Yin.
“Xiaowu?”
Xiaowu just smiled and chuckled, “May Xiaowu sit down with Yin-gege?” xiaowu asked with a face made adorable, but not enough to make Fei Yin soften. It was just that Fei Yin had no reason to refuse.
“Sure.”
With a feeling of spirit Xiaowu sat beside Fei Yin with sparkling eyes. He looked at Fei Yin long enough that the young man who was really too young even though he was old was disturbed.
It took a few minutes for Fei Yin to stabilize her breathing, “So Yin-gege. Would Yin-gege marry Xiaowu?” upon seeing Fei Yin open her eyes, Xiaowu immediately gave a question that made Fei Yin cough.
Then Fei Yin smiled awkwardly while scratching her cheeks, “Xiaowu, we are still too young to talk about this.” Fei Yin said.
Xiaowu looked annoyed and shook her cheeks, “Why does everyone keep saying we're too young to get married? What's wrong if I want to be with Yin-gege! Besides I won't ask you for wine so why wait for old?!”
‘Ah.. It turned out that this girl knew nothing.’ somehow Fei Yin felt a little relieved after hearing Xiaowu's words.
“If you want to be with Yin-gege, then practice to become stronger. Yin-gege is a talented person, and talented people always live in danger. Xiaowu should be able to protect herself if she wants to be with Yin-gege. Does Xiaowu understand?” fei Yin said with a faint smile.
Xiaowu tapped the corner of her lips while thinking, “Alright! Yin-gege must also promise not to leave Xiaowu! Xiaowu will train hard to be with Yin-gege!” Xiaowu clenched her hands, the look of her eyes filled with determination.
Seeing the little girl's determination, Fei Yin could only smile. She had no intention of giving Xiaowu hope to be with her, but she also did not reject Xiaowu's invitation to "married" or accept her.
Fei Yin's reason for saying that Xiaowu had to train in order to be with her was merely to get the girl's focus distracted, so Xiaowu's interest in her gradually diminished. It was more or less like Fei Yin's intention.
“Then.. Yin-gege is the one who trained Xiaowu! Besides Xiaowu can get stronger, Xiaowu can be together with Yin-gege!” say the girl lightly.
“Itu..” Fei Yin wanted to say an excuse to reject Xiaowu's request but he suddenly felt a killing intent out of nowhere aimed at the little girl.
“Awas-!” Fei Yin jumped up, wanting to withstand the attack that might be directed at Xiaowu.
However, Fei Yin was still slow enough to stop the attack. Something shot and pierced Xiaowu's skin. The girl groaned briefly before falling unconscious.
Fei Yin instantly caught it and checked the condition of the girl, “Xiaowu?! Xiaowu can you hear me?!” Fei Yin shouted out his name. He also put his finger under Xiaowu's nose, “His breathing is so weak.”
Slowly Xiaowu's face paled and purplish veins sprung up on her skin that turned as white as paper.
“This is a poison attack.” Fei Yin poured her qi into Xiaowu's body to check her condition.
‘Yin Spider Poison?’ Fei Yin could see the qi flowing around Xiaowu's heart turning into a purplish color and forming a spider symbol.
She bit her lips, ‘If only I could use air yin now, then I could clear this poison.’ Fei Yin felt that there was nothing she could do right now.
This poison will take a long time to kill its host depending on how much qi their host has. Unfortunately, Xiaowu did not have abundant qi. According to Fei Yin's calculations, Xiaowu could only last for 1 or 2 years.
For 1 to 2 years Xiaowu had to live with a weakened condition as he lost his qi energy and also the poison would compress his host's physique and nerves.
‘I didn't expect they still didn't give up.’ Fei Yin felt a little guilty. Because if he hadn't come here, then Xiaowu wouldn't have come with him and given the golden opportunity to the party targeting him.
‘Damn it!’ he could only curse in his heart and look around him. Fei Yin did not know where the assailants were, but he was sure they were gone.

“Some attacked him secretly, and I didn't have time to protect him.” Fei Yin replied as she bit her lip.
“Let's take Xiaowu to the room first.. Qinian, take care of Xiaowu for a moment, disgust will call the best healer in Fengshui city!” after saying that Chu Weilan was about to get out of his house, “Wait, ma'am! No need to call a healer.”
Chu Weilan looked at Fei Yin in surprise, “Why Yin'er? Xiaowu has been very critical he-”
“Xiaowu has only lost his consciousness at this time. His life is not in danger.” Fei Yin replied.
“What is not dangerous?! You can't see her body so pale?! What do you know?! You are talented but there are things that you are not good at in this world! Catch that!” Chu Qinian vehemently opposed Fei Yin's remark.
Fei Yin's face darkened, “As far as you guys are.. It's not my duty to take care of this girl anyway. It is also good that I did not get the attack, otherwise I will experience this condition.”
After saying that Fei Yin gave Xiaowu who was still losing her consciousness to Chu Qinian. After that, he decided to continue his training.
“Wait Yin'er.” Chu Weilan wanted to stop his son yet Fei Yin quickly disappeared from his sight.
Fei Yin chose to go to a quiet place and meditate there. He swallowed a pill that accelerated the process of gathering qi.
‘I can't focus.’ Fei Yin could not focus on her training as she kept thinking about Xiaowu's condition.
Fei Yin hoped that he could heal the current Xiaowu just that to do that he would have to awaken a true air. True Eve is the embodiment of one's spirit that can be seen and felt by others.
In order to awaken true air one must reach a certain level, how high the level required depends on how good the quality of the spirit of a fighter is.
In his previous life Fei Yin awakened true air at the Spirit Core level and that was already including a rare thing, as some new people could awaken true air after passing through the Spirit Core.
‘I must cure Xiaowu immediately..’ his determination to heal Xiaowu only added to the reason for Fei Yin to go to the capital in order to get the ingredients he needed to concoct elixir that would help his Marrow Cleansing process.
