Two more days of performing arts will be held soon. The students were busy rehearsing for their performance at the art show later.
"What do we want to sing?" ask Sarah to me.
"What is it, brother? Mmmmm how about an Opick song?"
"How about, what's the title?"
"When Love Sis!"
"May I hear a little bit of the lyrics?"
"May, for a moment I searched the goggle, yes, did not really memorize the lyrics," I replied with a smile to Sister Sarah.
"okay!"
I started strumming guitars playing the Opick song I meant. While singing I try to memorize the lyrics of the song. Brother Sarah and Brother Salman were so serious about watching and listening to me sing while occasionally nodding their heads.
"Cool!"
Suddenly Brother Salman clapped his hands, then praised me. I smiled to hear Brother Salman praising me in front of Brother Sarah.
"Your voice is good Eyza. Your guitar playing is cool too, God!" Brother Sarah complimented me making me blush in shame.
"This is a song about the deep longing between a servant to his Lord. God is so beautiful. I love this song, you're so good at picking songs, Eyza."
Again Brother Sarah praised me, I felt like I wanted to fly to the seventh sky.
My heart just kept beating so hard to hear that compliment coming out of Sarah's little mouth. I want to keep singing all day.
Brother Sarah tried to memorize the song by looking at the lyrics of the song from her cellphone, then I tried to accompany her with my guitar game.
"Wow, it turns out that Brother Sarah's voice is very sweet, it is not wrong if I fall in love with him," I said in my heart.
Almost two hours of our practice, finally Sister Sarah can really memorize the lyrics of the song and I can also accompany Sister Sarah to sing. We ended the training here.
"Okay, our training is enough for today. Prepare yourself for Sunday performance tomorrow. There is still time for training one more day," said Brother Salman to me and Sister Sarah, then we went home because the time was also getting late.
When I got home I immediately greeted.
"Assalamu'alaikum."
" Greetings wa'alaikum, did you just come home Za?" said Mother to me.
"Yes Bun, I've got rehearsals for Sunday's show tomorrow!" I answered and then kissed Mother's hand.
"Yes already. Wash your hands first there and then eat, then you rest."
"Yes Bun!"
After breakfast I went into the room, then I put my tired body on the bed. Brother Sarah's sweet voice was still ringing in my ear. I was like watching Raisha's concert and I was stuck in nostalgia when I remembered the first time I met Sister Sarah.
The sound of the adhan maghrib reverberating reminded me of the daydream that it was not Brother Sarah anymore that I should remember now.
Immediately I went to the bathroom to worship, then carry out the obligation, perform the Maghrib prayer that should not be left behind.
"Sir, Sunday there's an art performance at my sister's school?" ask Dya to me.
"Yes, you came yes, Brother performed loh!"
"Really Brother?"
"So, you're lying!"
"Buy the ticket, brother!" said Dya while smiling spoiledly at me.
"Yes, later on Brother buyin you and Dita ticket, hopefully there is still yes!"
"Yaaah don't hopefully dong Kak!"
"Well how else, just one more day of the event, hopefully there's still a ticket left."
"Yes, I hope there is still!" replied Dya with a slightly lethargic face.
"Later Brother call a friend of Brother hopefully can help ya!"
"Yes Brother!"
"Yes already, you slept there already night. Tomorrow morning of school, right? Brother wants a break too!"
"Yes Brother!" he answered and then came out of my room.
I'm trying to get in touch with Reno.
"Wa'alaikum hail Za. What's up?"
"Please look for two ticket events tomorrow yes, for my sister."
"Oh, okay. I'll look for it later!"
"Okay, thanks Ren, assalamu'alaikum!"
"Sama-sama Za, wa'alaikum greetings!"
Finally the event that was waiting came too. Today an art show will be held at my school. All the organizers are busy preparing for the event, as well as I'm still busy rehearsing.
"Hopefully I don't have stage fright later" I whispered inwardly.
"Assalamu'alaikum warrohmatullohi wabarokatuh" said Kak Doni, an art host.
"Wa'alaikum salam warrohmatullohi wabarokatuh," said the audience in unison.
"How are you guys? All healthy, right? If you are not healthy, you may not be here!" kak Doni said, making the audience laugh.
"Alhamdulillah also arrived the event that we have been waiting for in our beloved school. Gebyar Art Performance 2020. All right to shorten the time straight away we allow our Headmaster, Mr. Baihaqi Abdullah, S.Pd. to give his speech."
After Mr. Baihaqi gave a welcome word. Ka Doni continued the event by calling one by one representatives from each extracurricular activity at this school to show his ability.
Over there I saw Dya and Dita already coming to see my performance.
"Dit, is the host cool? I'm this type. Tall, athletic, clean and stylist, handsome anyway," whispered Dya praising Kak Doni.
Dita just shook her head to hear it.
"Okay, now we show the extracurricular representative Rohis to show his singing talent by playing his guitar, which will be performed by Eyza and Sarah. They will perform a religious-themed Opick song called When Love. Give a big round of applause for both of them."
The audience applauded, especially my twin sisters. Dya and Dita, they were so enthusiastic to see that I would soon be performing to show my guitar playing talent.
"By heart, don't be stubborn, slow motion only, don't make me ashamed in front of Brother Sarah. If you continue, I can misbehave later," I said in my heart.
I started picking up the guitar slowly.
Ka Sarah also began to sing, her melodious voice as hypnotizing the audience, they like drifting in every song lyrics. I don't know what they think or feel when they hear this song. Brother Sarah kept singing until finally it came to the lyrics,
When love calls
shuddering my body
when love calls
warm my breath
when love calls
longs
when love calls
longing.. longing.
calling upon your name
like flying in your sky
drowning in the sea of your love
"O Allah, this is a song for You but why does it feel, Sister Sarah sang this for me.
Oh my God, why am I being this sad," I murmured in my heart.
The audience applauded, they were so happy to see our performance.
After we finished our singing, we got off the stage to regroup with the other Rohis children.
"Cool, cool, kereeen!" suddenly Brother Salman praised our performance.
"Thank you Brother!" I said to Salman.
"God, thank you!" sister Sarah said, then smiled at Sister Salman, then looked at me.
"It's all thanks to Eyza, who is good at choosing songs," said Sister Sarah to me, then I returned her praise with a smile.
