Chapter 15: The Friendship of a Man and an Elf

This is the memory of Eldryn that will be told to Luke.

"How did you get here?" Eldryn.

"I also want to ask like that, what is this place?" Answer Fredo.

"This is the Elf realm."

"Oh" Briefly Fredo.

"... Is that all?!"

After that, he just laughed. It was my first meeting with Fredo. Fredo said that he was a researcher who was researching a large tree that had lived for hundreds of years. When I asked him how he entered this place, he knew nothing about it. He just said that he was sleeping under a big tree and suddenly arrived at this place. Since I did not feel any evil intentions from her, I tried to trust her.

When I brought Fredo, many Elves were surprised to see the arrival of a human. Because it was the first time that a human could enter this place. I brought Fredo to meet the elders. I have a little sister, her name is Yavanna. She was very cute, but had a very reserved nature. When I first brought Fredo home, he always avoided Fredo.

After that day, I spent more time with Fredo. I accompanied him who was researching about this place.

Fredo was very interested in the Phoenix. He began to try to make friends with the bird. It didn't take long for them to get to know each other. Fredo mingled well in this place, many Elves were willing to be friends with him. My usually quiet little sister, got closer to her. But I feel their closeness is excessive.

It has been two years since Fredo arrived. He was accepted as a resident of this place. We know more about life out there. He also introduced us to the cultures of the human race. He was also a teacher to the children of this place. The service he gave us was quite large, the knowledge was very useful for us who live like this.

But all that happiness is ruined by one mistake. There are some unwritten rules in this place that must be obeyed by the inhabitants, one of which is an Elf race must not have sex before passing the age of 50 years. Yeah, Fredo and Yavanna, they broke that rule.

Fredo was 28 and my brother was 19. I already knew that my sister had an interest in Fredo, as her brother I couldn't possibly not realize such a trivial thing. Time has passed, the son of Fredo and Yavanna has been born. They named her Nienna, She doesn't have ears like Elves, but has white hair typical of the Elf race. At first, everything went well. But the one whose name is lying will definitely be revealed someday, right?

One of the Elves who was visiting our house to give news about the ritual to worship the god. This activity is done every five years. Incidentally, the Elf saw the lies we had been keeping and reported them to the elders.

A punishment will be given to them. They had to leave this place. The elders asserted that they should go as far as possible, otherwise this place would be further tarnished by its sanctity. I wanted to help them, but I didn't have the courage back then.

Their departure was known to all the Elves that existed. To be honest, not a single Elf wanted them to leave that place, especially the departure of a Fredo. Many regretted the incident. Despite breaking the rules, Fredo is still a very meritorious figure. I am proud to know a Fredo. There was something I wanted to do, but I was confused at the time.

The ritual was performed that night. It was a worship for the god who had been protecting our place all this time, a ritual performed near the big tree. After the ritual was over, we celebrated the night by partying and spending time together.

I didn't enjoy the party, I felt something was lacking from this place. They all feel the same way. We all wish Fredo was here, having fun with all of us.

Back in time, Luke and Eldryn were talking to each other.
