ENDRO, THE BODYGUARD

ENDRO, THE BODYGUARD
FALL TO THE LOWEST POINT

A few days after Endro got a job offer from Ridwan, until his father was allowed back home by the hospital.

Endro has also been trying to think about what the best decision he will take is. That night became an opportunity for him to speak and express his intentions to Kamil, his father.

"Dad..." Call Endro lirih. At that time they were sitting on the front porch of the house.

"Hmm?" Sahut Kamil calm. Kamil did not look at Endro. His eyes did not blink staring freely in front of him.

"I got a job offer from Mr. Ridwan Ghani, Dad" Endro said. A little slow and timid.

"really?" Endro nodded at his father's question. "What job?" Ask Kamil again.

"For a while, so his bodyguard and also his pair of sons and daughters, Well" Sahut Endro explained to his father honestly without hiding anything.

Kamil's face hasn't changed. Stay relaxed and look mediocre after hearing Endro's explanation.

"Didn't you like it?" Tanya Endro felt guilty for not finding any reaction on his father's tired face.

"No, son..." Sahut Kamil turned towards Endro. "In any case, Mr. Ridwan has contributed much to us. Accept that job. Help her..." Kamil said later. He agreed to Endro's wishes, hoping not to agree. But in order for Endro also had to accept the offer with a roomy chest full of sincerity.

"Then what about dad?" Tanya Endro worried about her father's situation, if he himself later had to leave.

"You don't have to worry about Dad, son. I feel better now. After all, there was Nini who would visit father once in a while. Nini will always prepare all the needs of Dad. You'll know for yourself how your Nini is." Kamil tried to clear his son's doubts.

"But what if one day Dad's disease recurs again? While I'm away from dad." Ask Endro again still worried about his father.

"Dad can call you, son. That XXX town isn't too far from here. Three to four hours, right? You used to live there too. Your three years of college are not a short time. You must have memorized the ins and outs of that city. Thank goodness, you'll get your happiness there." Kamil increasingly tried to make Endro understand.

"What part do you mean?" Ask Endro coldly. His mind leads to nothing or to anyone. He just thought that the happiness his father meant was his substitute.

"Anything. Most important... You're happy for it." Kamil Sahut.

"Alright, Dad. I'll call Mr. Ridwan, let him know that I'm accepting a job offer from him." Endro.

Endro got up from his seat and stepped into his house. He took his cell phone and dialed Ridwan Ghani's number.

Tut's... Tut's... Tut's...

Tone connecting.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat..." A familiar voice in his ears was heard greeting from across the street.

"Wa'alaikumussalam, Sir. It's me, Endro..."

"Yes, Son. I know..."

"Master... What was the offer a few days ago, still valid for me?" Tanya Endro was pitched.

"Offer?" A confused tone was heard answering Endro's question.

"Yes, sir... Job offer for me." Endro's words again made the middle-aged man opposite him remember their chatter a few days ago in the hospital.

"Still, Master..." Endro's voice looks sparkling. He was so happy to hear the sincerity of Ridwan's voice from behind the screen of the phone he held.

"Yes already... I'm waiting for you. So, when are you coming?"

"I'll be leaving at noon tomorrow, sir. Maybe it'll be until the afternoon."

"alright... My wife and children are now beside me. He's very happy to hear your arrival plans, son. They're waiting too..." Said Ridwan sounding happy.

Endro blushed. He doesn't understand why? But most obviously, his heart was so happy to hear Ridwan's statement.

"Thank you, Mister. Give my regards to them. My father also sends greetings to sir..."

"Yes... They heard and nodded. Greetings to your father..."

"Good, Mister... Then I close first. Have a good rest, sir. Assalamu'alaikum..." Pamit Endro from their conversation over the phone.

"Wa'alaikumussalam..." Sahutan Ridwan is heard before the connection is cut off.

Endro looked at his father's face. Pity returned to nest and filled his chest. His heart is so painful to imagine tomorrow. Go and leave his father alone.

"Don't look at me like that." Kamil cried who caught his son's gaze from between his eyes. Although he did not see Endro directly.

Endro. He turned his face away and blinked his suddenly sore eyes.

"It's late, Dad... Let's go in. Too long, the night breeze isn't good for Dad's health." Get Endro to try to divert his father's questions.

Kamil sounded like he was breathing rough. "All right..." His mouth while rising from his seat and moving stepped into the house.

Endro followed from behind. His eyes did not stop staring at my father's visible back.

For a moment, Kamil turned his body and returned Endro's gaze. Back, she was made to flutter and get nervous by her father.

"Don't worry about me, son. Didn't you go for dad's sake?" Our words sound clear.

"What's wrong if a child worries about his or her father, Dad?" Tanya Endro gave up hiding from her father again.

"No. Nothing is wrong, son. Just don't be too late and overdone. You should also think about your life." Kamil said trying to make his son understand.

Endro. He never felt sorry at such a low point when he fell. But that time, he was really there. And it was hard for him to get back up.
