"Your Majesty, I've finished taking note of the matter regarding this month's checking. Everything looks good. Maybe tomorrow we can go home to the palace" said Edward who suddenly came from behind Zac. While Zac, the man only glanced at the sky through the open window of his room.
"Your Majesty?" Edwrad frowned. Not usually the master was not focused when invited to speak.
"It's rare that you daydream" Edward approached Zac and patted him on the shoulder.
"Yes" Zac replied briefly, I don't know what makes his mind unsettled.
"Are you thinking about your wife?" edward smiled at Zac.
"No." Zac has a small cling. "Then, what makes you daydream?" asked Edward who again frowned.
"I don't know" Zac replied quietly, raising his head and looking up at the sky.
"Your Majesty, be honest with yourself." Edwrad looked up at the sky, he was now beside Zac.
"What do you mean?" zac scrunched his forehead and looked at Edward seriously. "I guess, your relationship with Miss.ah, I mean Mrs Rubby is getting better. And I feel you now have a little taste with Madam!" obviously Edward smiled clumsyly due to the sharp gaze displayed by Zac.
"Isn't that good?" zac replied with the same face, flat and indifferent.
"Ukhs.." Edward breathed a rough sigh. "That's not the answer I want, Sire." said Edwrad inexhaustibly. He also massaged his own temple.
"Baginda, at first you met the Madam, you didn't have the slightest feeling, did you? And now, you begin to give the Madam a feeling of love," Edwrad smiled faintly as he explained.
"Feel-love?" Zac frowned. "I don't understand." If you say stupid.. Yes, maybe he can be likened to stupid in terms of love. Missing his life since childhood that never got the love he was supposed to get.
"Your Majesty, may I tell you something?" Edward looked at Zac, but the man did not reply.
"Alright, then I'll tell it." cried Edward smiled faintly.
Edward took a deep breath, and let out his. "Your Majesty, as long as you know, my wife and I did not love each other at all" Edwrad said.
"What?" Zac frowned confusedly. It seems that Zac is getting interested in Edward's initial conversation. Because, what the man knew all this time was that the bodyguard always glorified his wife like a Goddess from heaven.
Edward smiled, "It turns out your Majesty still remembers, I think you've forgotten!" Edward chuckled a little while recalling the past.
"Baginda, at that time I found my wife during a hunting race. She seemed to be a noblewoman who accidentally got lost, and I was the one who brought her home. But I took him not to where he came from, but to my own residence" Edward began to continue his story.
"I had no feelings for her, but I knew she was the daughter of a nobleman who was never loved by her family. He also began to tell me that he was never considered by his father, so he said not to get too close to him, because it could be that my connection which was also a noble was cut off because it was close to the princess was not considered." Edward smiled bitterly.
"Then, what does love have to do with your wife?" Zac began to ask. It certainly makes Edward more chuckle because this is the first time he feels Zac interested in the story.
"I used to be a fool for love, just like His Majesty. I did not heed the words of my wife who was still a young girl at the time. But let him always say don't go near her, but he considers me his chatting friend. And out of pity, I will always be by her side, a home for her to chat with, both joy and sorrow." Edward smiled, he would always be sad if he remembered the story of the wife who never got the affection.
Flashback (Edward & Jiseyla)
"Sir, lately I've been calling you here just for unimportant chats. I'm really sorry to have bothered you the last few days" Jiseyla lowered her head after seeing Edward just come into her room with a bowl of soup and liquid medicine.
"I'm happy to be able to help others, and it's my duty as a knight, Lady" Edwrad said with a flat-setting look. However, far from his expression that seemed indifferent, the man was very warm and considerate in his heart.
Jiseyla Leonora Von Juvellas, she is a noble daughter who was rescued by Edward during a hunting race a few weeks ago. Out of pity, the man finally allowed Jiseyla to settle in his residence.
"Lady, this morning I got a letter from Baron Juvellas, he said he wanted to convey it to you. Anu, do you want to read it?" obviously at once asked Edwrad to the woman who was still sitting on the bed. "No." Jiseyla replied firmly and briefly, and Edward would not ask again if Jiseyla had already rejected him.
"Alright," Edward smiled faintly, the man then approached Jiseyla and brewed a liquid medicine mixed with warm tea as usual.
Jiseyla smiled faintly, "In your ripe age, as well as the kindness of your heart, maybe the people out there won't believe that you're not married." Jiseyla chuckled as she looked up at Edwrad's good looks at the time, she was grateful to have a friend as good as Edward who was always by her side in her joys and sorrows.
"Yes," Edward gave a small nod, the impression was indeed similar to Zac when he was not married to Jiseyla at that time.
Jiseyla smiled again, leaning slightly to grab the bowl and spoon on the table as Edward brewed the medicine.
Edward scrunched his forehead, he then held Jiseyla's wrist wrapped in bandages.
"What do you want to do?" edward looked at Jiseyla inside.
"Y-yes? Of course I want to eat," replied Jiseyla puzzled as Edward suddenly held back his hand.
"Let's just feed you"
