Elf Princesses

Elf Princesses
Episodes 10. Zac's dark past

The news of his parents returning from a long journey, Zac returned to comment on the smile on his face. The 13-year-old enthusiastically ran towards the palace gate waiting for the presence of his parents.

The deg!

"Mothers.. Daddy?" Zac fell silent and stared blankly at the front, watching the bodyguards and servants flocking like he was taking care of the bloodied bodies of two couples.

"Prince!" From behind, there was a hoarse shout from a woman who was none other than Diana. He closed Zac's eyes so as not to see the bodies of his parents covered in blood. Yes, those two bodies were the Emperor and the Empress, both Zac's parents.

"Auntie, don't close my eyes! I want to wait for mom and dad!" said Zac raspy. Either because he doesn't know, or he pretends not to believe. The powerless Diana withstood the cries finally cried while closing Zac's eyes.

"Auntie, I want to hug mom! Where's mommy?! Auntie, get your hands out of my eyes!" zac tried to take Diana's hand off.

"No, the Prince shouldn't be out at this time." said Diana raucously.

Impatiently, Zac took off Diana's embrace and ran towards the bodyguards who were busy hustling here and there as rain soaked the empire at the time.

"Sir Charles, have you seen my father and mother? Where's them?" say Zac with an irregular heart rate.

"Did the prince know? The Emperor and the Empress, they had died and now the bodyguards were taking care of the corpse. So, please step aside and don't bother us!" said Sir Charles, one of Zac's father's bodyguards.

The deg!

"No! Why did you call my mom and dad dead? You could be killed for saying something!" zac said he had no power to hold back anger.

"Prince, try to be quiet and understand. Wherever we may lie to you" said one of Charles' friends who also stood there. "Charles, come on, we must help bury the Emperor and the Empress before the rain gets heavier!" said continue.

Among the crowd, Zac fell silent and stood firmly speechless. Maybe whoever saw it would feel weird. How can a child not cry at the death of his parents?

No, that's not true at all. The real sadness, is when the person can only be silent, between beliefs or not. The pain in his chest, even suppressing the tears that should have come out of his two eyes.

Among the rain that soaked the empire, the child could only fall silent in wet clothes. Staring blankly towards the front, hoping this was just a dream. The torrential rain that soaked his Palace back then seemed to represent his current feelings.

A woman, more precisely Diana, the mother of Zac's nanny since she was 4 years old, she ran hard to reach the child's body. The child, thirsting for affection, must now face the fact that his parents have abandoned him forever. His desire, as well as his greatest hope had been annihilated, what else should he believe? Who else should he expect?

Diana smiled bitterly and hugged Zac. He continued to say in a hoarse voice, "There's still an aunt here, there's still an aunt!" diana said she could not hold back tears.

The treasure, the desire, everything he has got. However, the only hope that he wanted the most, he could not achieve. Like a star that looks small, but will not be reached by human reach.

Zac chuckled, "Why doesn't anyone say this is funny? This is so funny, auntie! Why don't you laugh?" zac said trying to hold back the crying.

Everyone probably thinks Zac is a curse. He was born carrying misfortune because he had been cursed since birth. No one cares about a child 'curse' who was sad at that time for the departure of both parents.

Even when he was Emperor at such a young age, Zac always stared coldly at everyone. No one knew about her heart, not even Diana.

Sometimes, Diana was eager to hug Zac and ask him how he felt. However, Diana knew, reality had made Zac a different person. He was not the sweet and spoiled boy he knew. Zac, to Diana he was one of the most precious treasures of his life. Looking at the tears that came out from the two eyes of the man, it could not close the fact that Diana had felt heartache in her deepest thoughts.

"Ah... Unconsciously I became crying in front of Miss, huh?" Diana gave a raucous smile recalling the fateful events of the past that had managed to snatch away Zac's happiness.

"Auntie, am I a bad woman if I refuse to marry her?" Rubby smiled thinly, very thin.

"No, not at all, Miss. But, I would be disappointed if the lady had to refuse the wedding" Diana smiled. Which woman would want her son rejected by a woman he had been waiting for all this time? Yes, Diana always thought Zac was her son, more than her biological son who had neglected her all this time.

"I haven't felt sleepy, aunt. If your aunt is tired, go back and rest. I'll sleep when I'm sleepy!" rubby smiled.

"If there's a problem, call aunty, huh?" Diana smiled and clasped Rubby's hand tightly, while Rubby only nodded in response to the words thrown from Diana's mouth.

"Your Majesty, this end-of-life critical state obtained by the Empire is slowly improving. I think in the next three days the Empire will recover just as it did before the war" Edward said, providing the final papers Zac had to sign today.

"You can go back to your room and rest" Zac said.

Edward nodded softly, "Did Your Majesty not visit Miss again today?" edward asked with curiosity.

"No, I visited him this morning" Zac replied.

"You must visit Miss Rubby often" advised Edward before he finally left Zac's study.

"It's raining, huh?" Zac got up from his seat and looked at the window. One hand clenched while the other touched the window.

The deg!

"That's.." Zac fell silent as soon as he saw a woman sitting on a garden chair with her umbrella. "I feel familiar with that woman.." Zac paused for a moment, "Can't it be, Rubby out in the rain like this?"

Meanwhile, outside when heavy rain soaked the palace garden.

"I'm sorry, Auntie. But for some reason I got a call to come out in this heavy rain" Rubby muttered softly as he rose from his chair and gently rubbed the flower that yesterday let out a tone when Rubby came.

"I can feel that harmonization because I am an Elf. For humans, perhaps they wouldn't be able to hear it," Rubby let out a long sigh.

"Am I the only Elf here, huh?" Rubby fell silent and tried to think. After all, his habitat was in the Elf Forest, where the elves were located.

"You will return to the world of the elves, if you are willing to marry Zachyre, the Emperor of this Country"

"that voice?"

The deg! The deg! The deg! Rubby's heart was pounding irregularly. He ran towards a shady tree that gave off light.

"Did you say it? did you say to me?" Rubby looked at the tree.

"Can you hear my voice?"

"I-I'm an Elf!" Rubby touched the tree trunk, a tree that looks old but still sturdy when viewed carefully.

"His Highness the Princess? Is that you?"

"Well, why is there an Elf Princess here?"

Whispering was the sound of a child coming from inside the tree. Rubby frowned and spoke softly. "You.. Why are you here?" he said confused
