Dumped Family Taken The President

Dumped Family Taken The President
Chapter 2

The moment they arrived inside, several graceful women were sitting in the living room chatting.

The arrival of Anggi instantly silenced their mouths. The women stared cynically at where Anggi was standing.

One of them scoffed, "Well, look! Who came here? Isn't that the selfless woman who was once the princess of pride in the Alexander family?"

Ever been? Anggi did not care about the comment. He just grinned and did not respond to the woman.

"really. He does not know himself. Look at that, even she had a child without a husband. He must have lived a free life while stranded abroad, right?" Said another woman while laughing at her.

"Haha!"

The women taunted Anggi until a woman sitting at the very center stood up. He was wearing the best clothes and his body was still awake even though he was 50 years old.

He walked up to Anggi with a warm and friendly face. "Come, you're finally home. The Alexander family is waiting for you."

The woman is Jihan, Anggi's stepmother. The woman who had an affair with Anthonio during his marriage to Anggi's mother.

Jihan always tries to look innocent and loving when in front of many people. But in solitude, he had done all sorts of things to hurt others.

Anggi smiled while patting Jihan on the shoulder. "Auntie, you don't have to do this to me right now. I know you were one of the people who kicked me out of the house at the time."

Jihan fell silent and turned to her friend, maybe she was embarrassed?

She knew full well Anggi was a brave girl long ago. And according to him Anggi has changed and become obedient after years of living abroad. But it turns out he was wrong, Anggi came back for a reason.

Even so, Jihan had to remain calm. He smiled back and said. "That's your father's decision, Anggi. We can't oppose it, you know that. The point is, it's good to see you back."

"Hemm, okay. Whatever you want to say."

Jihan then called a waiter.

"Mina's."

"Yes madam?"

"Please bring Anggi's suitcase to his room. Grandpa was waiting too. After that, take him to see him."

The word Jihan sounds so soft, but the real one is the meaning of the opposite.

Mina, the servant of trust in the house nodded. "Good, madam."

Then Anggi was brought upstairs. As he climbed the stairs, he could still hear the women shaking him from behind.

"Don't let that woman set foot in this house again. She's a rude, shameless and crazy woman."

"Pity lord Anthonio has a child as rude as him. Even when she knew that Edward preferred Sandra back then, she looked angry and always envied the happiness of others."

"That's it. Don't talk about the past, he's just immature at the time." Jihan stops her friend from talking about Anggi so she looks generous and forgiving.

And that was when someone came through the entrance with a clear voice.

"Mom, me and Edward are back."

Edward's?

Anggi's feet froze for a moment upon hearing the name. And Melisa looked at her mother's face.

"What's wrong mom?"

Anggi patted his daughter's head "It's okay." Then he continued walking.

While in the living room. After Sandra held her hand, Edward glanced at the stairs and saw the familiar figure of the woman.

Sandra noticed Edward's change in reaction and looked in the same direction. When she recognized the woman, Sandra's face darkened.

"Has he come back?"

*****

The old man was in a wheelchair and could only spend most of his time in his room. He suffered from paralysis and several congenital diseases that made part of his body unable to move.

Alexander approached with a push by his personal servant.

"You've arrived." His voice sounded weak.

Anggi.

"Sit down, there's something I want to talk to you about."

Anggi sat down in front of Alexander. When they first saw each other, it wasn't like years of reunion. Rasamya is more like two strangers sitting in the same room negotiating or worse hostile.

Alexander says. "You've been living abroad for years. Now it's time for you to start a new life and think about where you're going to settle."

"Yes." Yeah." Anggi. She could somehow hold her grudge against the man and not voice her thoughts, saying that she and her family were driving him out of the house five years ago.

He must maintain the least amount of respect for the man because he is the one in charge, the head of the family who rules over its members. Anggi is no longer a young girl who believes she can take revenge without bearing any consequences.

"You're not young anymore. Your sister's getting married too, so I'm sure it's time you think about having a partner too."

"So, you told me to come back not because you wanted to see me one last time but you wanted me to get married?"

"I'm old. I want to see you have a family." Alexander put on a grim look.

Anggi grinning.

"The first son of Sebastian's family, Andre. He's older than you. I've spoken to their families, and you can meet first before we talk about marriage." Alexander finally spoke of his purpose.

"Andre? Wasn't he just released from prison for his criminal actions? There were many wealthy families in Grade A City who were unwilling to marry off their daughters to him."

"That's the past, Anggi. You're lucky because he's still willing to accept you and your son. Be thankful!" Alexander said firmly.

Be grateful? The man told her to marry a criminal and she should be grateful?

"But grandfather, I heard this family is having financial difficulties this late. I was just wondering how much you got from Sebastian's family with this wedding?"

Alexander was silent at Anggi's question. His mouth felt bitter when he wanted to answer.

"I told you to think about marriage, not against my orders."

"Oh, okay. It's just that I'm curious, how valuable am I in this family?"

"Well, anyway you've spoken to Sebastian's family. So, I can only agree right?" Anggi said, there was a slight threatening tone from his voice.

Her lips curved into a sharp grin that made her beautiful face become terrifying.

"Good to hear. You can finally be an adult."

*****

Anggi came out of Alexander's room and walked towards his own room.

As he walked back, someone stopped him and forced him to stop.

The man she once loved wholeheartedly, now stood before her with pride and confidence.

Anggi and Edward grew up together and the two dated since High School. Their relationship was sweet and stable at the time, there was indeed a small quarrel but it was natural for a young couple.

Edward used to love her too, but to his surprise he ended up sleeping with Sandra. It was a tough slap for Anggi.

Her boyfriend is snatched away but everyone thinks of Sandra as a victim and Anggi loses everything. Regardless of what happens, it is just a dark past that will not be pleasant to recall.

Fortunately, Anggi could live abroad for years and that taught him a lot about toughness and patience.

"Pick." Edward called out to her with his soft and warm voice.
