Dreams of Devi

Dreams of Devi
Clear Vegetable

Sorry if this chapter is not interesting at all

Nindi looked out of the room and vaguely heard him asking the bowl to the Father. Alwi was silent to see me, maybe he was also confused about what topic. It was fortunate that Nindi immediately came back and sat down beside me.

"Take a little, yeah, Dev. You haven't eaten, have you?" Nindi poured the meatballs and the broth into the bowl. Besides beautiful Nindi does have a motherly attitude, she is so painstaking.

"I ate Rehan's porridge but a little."

"Eat the meatball, Dev. A little papa, really," said Alwi.

"Well, really what Alwi said," added Nindi.

"okay."

"Maybe you want to add some sambal, Dev." Alwi smiled wryly. Nindi immediately pinched her boyfriend's arm.

"His servant was sick and desecrated."

"Why bother? Moreover, you, Nin, your house is far away, you know," I said that did not bear the arrival of two friends of mine.

"Look off, Dev. I'll get you safely to her house, okay." Alwi said proudly.

"Well, that's what you heard yourself, right? Don't worry, Dev."

"There's no job?"

"There, math. We are given the task of preparing UTS next week," replied Alwi.

"UTS next week?"

"Yes, you don't panic, Dev. We'll learn together if you're cured," Nindi comforted me.

"Okay, thank you, Nin, Al."

The day went on, Alwi and Nindi finally said goodbye. I have improved and can see their return to the front door. Apparently two of my friends also brought other souvenirs that were handed over to the Father. Actually they came empty was enough for me. How grateful, having a friend who is always there in times of weakness.

"Cheal fast, Dev. Tomorrow's school, yeah!" Nindi waved her hand before going up to Alwi's sidewalk.

"Okay, Nin. Don't be so tight, yeah, Al. You brought an angel, you know," I said.

"Oh, Dev. Without you telling me I remember."

Slowly the motorbike carrying my two friends left the yard. The house became quiet again. Father and Rehan seemed to be in the kitchen. I tried to find them there.

"Sir, want to cook?" I asked the Father who was trying to light a wood stove.

"Guable cooking, Nduk. I haven't had a vegetable this morning."

"I think I saw Rehan eating vegetables" I said trying to remember.

"Oh, that was given to you by Lodeh and Ms. Salma."

"Alwi's mother?"

"Yes. Really sad actually. Their families are so good. You also want to be given the same mustard pare, but you refuse."

"Oh Allah, Alwi likes to share that in school, sir. Maybe it's their family's habit."

"Yes, Nduk. You want to eat?"

"Later on, sir. I'm not hungry yet."

"Don't eat, Ma'am. It won't heal, you know." Rehan suddenly appeared from the direction of the bathroom.

"It's bitter my mouth, Re."

"Although bitter, still forced, Ma'am. But how does it feel? Did you go out?"

"Thank God, Re. Like a clear vegetable eaten warm-warm delicious, deh." I saw a piece of spinach that seemed to have been washed by Father.

"Would you like to eat some clear vegetables, Nduk?"

"Later on, sir."

"Father wants to cook now, when it's ripe you eat, yes." I just nodded.

This time I just sat watching the Father and Rehan who each looked busy. Father was making a clear vegetable while Rehan paced back and forth while carrying a glass in his grasp.

"What do you want to do, Re?"

"What did you buy?"

"At the table there is still. Here, drink, yeah." Rehan offered a glass with a white drink. Em, so sweet.

I sipped it slowly. It tastes sweet. It seems to have been the dose, just because I am not feeling well, it is less sweet.

"It's, it's eaten soon but it's still hot." I put a vegetable on a plate. Just now the vegetable was lifted, still visible puff of smoke.

"Thank you, sir."

"Will I go to the doctor?" ask my Father. Oh, I don't want to.

"No need, sir. It's me being so sad" I refused.

"Really?"

"Seriously!"

"Father to the fields, huh? No papa?"

"Yes, Sir. There's Rehan, too, right, at home."

Father went to the fields, while Rehan I did not know where he was. He was willing to play at a neighbor's house. Fortunately my condition has improved considerably, no need for extra care from Mr or Rehan.

My nose is still functioning normally. The aroma of a typical clear vegetable made by my father made me interested in tasting it. Father usually mix basil leaves or key meeting so that the aroma of the sauce is very fragrant. In addition, the sprinkling of fried onions further adds to the appetite.

"Alhamdulillah." I burped loudly.

A portion of clear vegetables that Mr. toilet gave me in my stomach. My sweat began to pour, it felt relieved to be able to sweat when sick like this.

My body has improved, but it has not fully recovered. I asked him to take a quick break after eating. I'm not the type to sleep except at night. It feels like the more rest the more pain in the body.

I looked at a place to wash dishes. There the pile of kitchen furniture looks mountainous. Maybe you haven't had time to wash dishes because it is too worried about me.

I looked for a small seat that was usually called a dingklik. I was going to wash the dirty furniture. I have to do it quickly, don't get caught.

Washing and cleaning my house has become my daily job. It didn't take long to finish it all. After arranging some dishes on the shelf, attention is focused on the kitchen full of garbage. Yes, usually I also sweep the pedestal of the house which is still in the form of the land.

I took a broomstick and slowly combed every corner of the dirty kitchen. What if I leave Mr and Rehan to the pesantren? Is the condition of the house like this or even worse?

"Lho, kirain the father who cleans."

I was surprised, Rehan's voice surprised me. He who saw me was surprised too. A moment later we laughed, laughing at something that wasn't really funny at all.

"You're a shock, Re!"

"I'm in shock, you know, Ma'am!"

"You want to help?"

"Lazy, Ma'am. Why do you have to clean? Don't you, it still hurts?" Rehan poured the water from the teapot into a glass and then drank it.

"Let's sweat, Re. If sleep continues to hurt my body."

"Oh, so. Yes, I helped."

"Well to help what? Wong, it's over."

"So he said to help?"

"No, Re. Play it again!"

"Capek, Ma'am. Take a break first." Rehan sat on the chair with a breath that was still panting.

"Mbak must be tired every day cooking is the same as cleaning" said Rehan.

"Who said?"

"Nobody said. Just, I see you're tired."

"Kan, let it be clean, Re. You have to learn from now. After Junior High I want to go to the cottage, you know. You want this house to be dirty?"

"Bak is a mole?" Rehan's surprised.

"I don't know, you asked that."
