...Chapter 05: Empty Books Without Ownership....

...-...

Returning home was the thing Yuka had been waiting for the most to tell her story while she was in the library. He now took a stance sitting with Leon while waiting for Lark who was still in the Book Hall Room. After a few minutes had passed, Lark finally came out of his place. When Lark passed through the door, he seemed to have lost his spirit due to the unknown.

Walking up to the Old Man and gazing downwards, he pondered about his problem of not being chosen as a witch. Lark thought the effort he had put in over the past 3 years would be in vain if he did not become a Witch. Lark's steps stopped in front of the Old Man.

" No need to be disappointed when you are not elected, everything will run its course when destiny is coming to you ! "

Said the Old Man who was encouraging Lark from his despair, The Old Man already knew the nature of a person when he came out of the Hall Room because he had experienced watching over the Magician Candidate to perform the Summoning Ritual.

Only by encouraging those who had failed to make the Summoning and supporting them not to give up, was that the Old Man's role as Supervisor. If someone fails to perform the Summoning Ritual in the current year, then next year they can do it again.

An opportunity to train yourself to develop stronger before becoming a Witch, that's what the Supervisor said when the Witch Candidate was already depressed because of her non-election.

Lark walked up to his two brothers with a smiling expression, even though he was now feeling sad and wanted to cry. But he was unable to show them, just being firm was the best when dealing with his family.

Yuka slightly understood Lark's feelings, she didn't want to ask Lark much because she had previously known what it was like to be rejected for the first time. Yuka encouraged Lark with her sweet words, dreaming that Lark would continue to struggle as before without ever knowing the word Surrender.

While Leon did not dare to say to Lark, Leon was still cold and harbored a deep sense of caring in order not to make Lark feel hurt.

" Let's Go Home... ! "

Yuka led the words, It's already late at night they return home to get some rest. Already a full day in the Library, it is natural that they are exhausted and want to feel rested their bodies from fatigue.

On the way home was also not like they were leaving to go to the library, the atmosphere became silent when Lark still showed a sad expression. Yuka and Leon did not dare to look at Lark's face, they continued walking until they reached home. But suddenly when he wanted to open the door of the House, Lark said something to them.

" I want to train for a while in the forest, you guys take a break ! I will never give up until I become a great witch... !!! "

Lark said loudly with his will, his ambitious voice making both of their parents out of the house. Lark's gaze showed that he was ready to do his daily activities, which was to train with all his might.

Yuka, Leon and their parents also smiled as Lark returned to his usual attitude. They could not force Lark when he wanted to rest when he had made his choice, only to encourage and support him that was their role as Parents.

Lark ran towards the forest, leaving his family to train. Running with all her might through the village streets to go to the forest, her breathing gasped for breath as she ran very fast and all the disturbing thoughts slowly also slightly disappeared.

In the end Lark laughed with his tiredness, recalling the previous incident to be a little crazy. Taking off all his fatigue, Lark fell asleep in the woods. Two hours passed, the Moon still showed its light. Lark's condition had improved, he woke up from his place.

But he did not realize that he had lost his way in the forest, Before he ran aimlessly towards the forest to let go of his sadness. Until he didn't know where he was in the forest, a place like ruins. Lark walked following the hollow stone path, not lasting long. He found the entrance to the Ruins.

" This, what place...? Why didn't I know it before ? "

Lark slowly opened the door, even though it was slightly rusted because it was made of a mixture of iron. When the door was opened, Lark stepped in with the preparation of a small piece of wood in his hand. Just to be on guard if when a savage beast would pounce on him behind the darkness of the Ruins, the view was not too clear because it was dark.

He accidentally rediscovered a large door that seemed very difficult to open, feeling impressed by the large door before his eyes. Lark tried to forcefully open the door by pushing it with all his might, but the door still did not open.

Lark thought about the difficulties he was facing right now, but still it ended up being a dead end. It was a waste when something was hidden in a ruin and locked behind a big door, the difficulty in getting Lark.

He took a step back which meant he wanted to leave the ruins, as he walked up to the wall and accidentally stepped on something that was a trigger to open the big door. Lark was shocked to the point of falling to see the huge door suddenly open and let out a loud bang nearby.

When all was silent, Lark stood up from his place. Then walked closer to the room, still in a dark atmosphere. There was little he could see, in the room there were many books neatly arranged on his shelf and the shelves formed an oval circle, including a Magic circle in the center.

Lark slowly approached the Magic Circle with a slight feeling of fear, but the curiosity from Lark continued to force him to go deeper to get closer to the Magic Circle.

Actually Lark did not want to enter and approach his circle, but he wanted to know what was inside the hidden place behind these ruins he found. Although Abstract in nature, this place was once a place of Ritual for the predecessors to perform the summoning.

When he first entered the Ruins, there were also various Ancient writings on the walls. Other than the writing on the wall, there was something even more interesting than that. Precisely in the hidden room that is the room of many books in the place where Lark is now, there is a large Dragon Statue that emits a dark blue Light.

Not just one, but the statues are four and arranged according to the direction of the Cardinal (North, South, East and West). Surely the Magic Circle in the middle of those statues as its Mother. It is not certain about the ownership of the Ruins, as there is no evidence of certainty of which race has left its legacy.

Lark was in the center of the Magic circle, the aura emanating from the dragon statue had yet to show it to Lark. So was the Summoning Light like before, there was no reaction at all when setting foot in the middle of it.

Lark just stood looking around him with a little anxious feeling as he looked at the Statues like he was staring at them, feeling a little choked when he looked at the statues.

Oddity occurs in the ruins, the wind blows in a closed room to make Lark sitting and coughing in the middle of the circle. Lark's body began to tremble in cold sweat, as there was wind blowing around him.

Not wanting to stay too long in the middle of the circle, Lark tried to stand up and escape from the place in a hurry. But when he wanted to leave the room, somehow someone made him stumble and fall to the floor.

Lark panicked and looking around, he took back a stick nearby. When he had calmed down a little, he went back to the cause he had fallen before

" What is this Book ? Why is it here, wasn't there not a book that fell down ? "

A book fell off its shelf near the Southern dragon statue, Lark picked it up and continued on by going out the Ruins. Walking away from the Ruins, light began to shine in the ruins past the broken door. The birds began to sound, including a cool breeze in the morning.

Lark rested sitting on a rock close to the door of the ruins, while observing the surroundings. He looked back at the book he found before he came out of the ruins, a little tense when he wanted to open the contents of the book. Lark slowly turned the cover of the book in hopes of wanting to see what the contents of the book contained that had no picture or writing on the cover.

Surely the contents are like Book Cover, Only Books that contain nothing or Empty and worthless.
