...Dead It Must Be. Without Waiting For Words But...
...☘️...
7 Days have passed Khadijah's parents.
Many relatives are still seen in the residence of Khadijah, just to entertain and help the hassles of Khadijah, because for 7 days it was also held khataman and tahlilan events.
“Nduk..”
Seeing Khadijah who was still dissolved in his sadness, Abah Hasim then approached and comforted him.
“Why ?”
The corner of Khadijah's lips was lifted up, though covered by the veil he was wearing, but Abah Hasim knew that Khadijah was smiling at him.
“Don't dissolve too long in sadness, Ndak baik” said Abah Hasim reminded.
“Enjih Abah”
Khadijah nodded obediently.
Khadijah tried sincerely and justified his Abah speech. Although still always imagined both parents, and still so missed their presence.
Abah Hasim sat down and approached his nephew. Seeing Khadijah with his sad face, Abah Hasim then gave his encouragement.
“Nduk”
Long-long Abah Hasim spoke.
Surely everyone will find his death. No one knows when he will die. We were once abandoned by those closest to us, we will also leave those closest to us.
Feeling sad about the death of someone is normal and human. Even Nabi Shalallahu ‘alaihi wasallam had felt a deep sadness, when he lost his beloved wife, uncle who always accompanied him, and his friends who had died. To the extent that at that time in the book of sirah referred to as ‘amul huzni or as the Year of sorrow, because within one year the Prophet was abandoned by those closest to him.
But even though human, it does not mean that one can vent sorrow over one's death by over-vaporizing. He cried for days without stopping. An-Niyahah (lament) is the cry and whimper like the whining of a dove. The act is forbidden because it shows opposition (disgruntled feeling) to destiny.
Crying over a dead person while slapping his own face, tearing his clothes, even to the point of shaking a body that has been stretched rigidly is certainly not justified. A person is also forbidden to continue to roar about the goodness and services of the mayor during his previous life. This is as the apostle said in his word,
لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَطَمَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
“Not from our goal the one who slapped the face, ripped off clothes, and called with the slogan jahiliyah.” (Muttafaqun ‘alaihi).
The wisdom of one's prohibition to mourn the dead is too excessive as a form of reminder that humans are very weak creatures before God. No man is strong and capable of resisting God's destiny.
The prohibition is also a form of prevention so that someone does not show an attitude of rejecting God's destiny. Because death is one of God's destinies that cannot be disturbed and prevented. It may be that the death of a person is a good thing for the person who died, and precisely what should be mourned is people who are still alive to think about their fate during life whether to survive or not.
“Once Yo Nduk. So it's enough Nangis nya” said Abah Hasim
‘Astaghfirullah’ Inner Khadijah in heart.
Honestly Khadija was weak faith, although without being told Abah, Khadija actually knew, but the weakness of the heart made Khadijah dissolve in sadness repeatedly. Khadijah is lucky enough there are still Abah and Umi who always faithfully accompany.
“Thank you Bah.”
Khadijah began to wipe again and clean the remains of Tears. Nodding the head into Abah Hasim's answer to Khadijah's previous remarks.
“Then after this what Nduk mu” plan
Seeing Khadijah calm down, Abah Hasim started to open a new topic between them. And the head bobble became Khadijah's answer to Abah Hasim's question to himself.
Abah Hasim smiled at Khadijah. It is hard to decide so soon, and Abah Hasim understands.
“Ndak papa, tomorrow morning let's talk again”
Abah Hasim patted Khadijah on the shoulder and asked him to rest, because of course Khadija was also Tired after 7 days of preparing the ordination for both of his late parents. Although assisted by relatives and neighbors, but that does not mean Khadija then relax.
“Enjih Abah”
After quite a conversation with his nephew, Abah Hasim moved from his seat and left Khadijah in his room.
Not yet Khadijah to lay down his body, Khadijah again shocked by the sound of his cellphone notification.
Beep Beep
The sound of a voice message from Khadijah's phone that indicates a message entered his phone.
With the rest of his energy, Khadijah grabbed his phone and saw a clear name listed there ‘Mas Dirga’ Inner Khadijah.
Khadijah then opened the Whatsapp message sent by Dirga from the other end of the phone.
“Assalamualaikum Dirga, how are you?”
Such was the brief message that Dirga sent to Khadijah.
“Waalaikumsalam Mas Dirga's. Thank God Good News”
Reply Khadijah.
“Aalhamdulillah's. Thank goodness then. Oya sorry yesterday did not have time to say goodbye when returning home”
Back Dirga sent a reply message to Khadijah.
“Not papa Mas, Khadija even should be grateful. Mas Dirga has delivered Dijah home to Rumah”
Reply Khadija
“No problem Inja & ” Reply Dirga on Khadijah.
Seeing the Emoticons of love in the short messages sent by Dirga was quite surprising to Khadijah.
But Khadijah chose to be silent and did not ask what the purpose and purpose of the affectionate emoticons were.
After enough messages, Khadija chose to end the conversation between the two.
The night was getting late leaving a beam of moonlight that penetrated the window of Khadijah's room.
Although his eyes were reluctant to be closed but it was true what Abah said, Khadija could not continue to think about the sadness in his heart.
**
Morning time.
Sunlight began to greet, the beauty of the sun that illuminates the earth really makes Khadijah feel grateful for the pleasure of the breath that is still given.
Khadijah used to perform the Duha Prayer after finishing with his kitchen affairs. This is what Khadijah used to do when in Kos. Living in a city of people by relying on scholarships is certainly not easy for Khadijah.
Luckily Khadijah is very good at accounting for finances. So even though the budget is thin he never Boncos even Khadija still had time to save from the remnants of money given his parents.
Luckily to this day there is still Umi Amina who accompanied Khadijah. Last night after the completion of the Tahlilan and Khataman Events all the brothers had returned to their respective cities.
“Nduk”
Still with a mukena wrapped in his body, Khadija saw the figure of Umi Amina standing on the doorstep of her room.
“Iya Umi?” Khadijah answered while tidying up Mukena and her prayer mat.
The two then sat together on the edge of Khadijah's bedroom bed, a smile Umi Amina reminded Khadijah of her maternal smile that had gone missing.
“Have finished his prayers?”
“Umi”
Umi Amina was seen smiling and sighing, somehow Khadija felt there was something important that Umi Amina wanted to tell her.
“Umi just wanted to deliver your Abah Nduk” message
Umi Amina looked serious in her speech, and spontaneously Khadijah was closer to her sitting position with Umi Amina, not wanting to miss any details of the information conveyed by Umi Amina from her uncle Abah Hasim.
