Chapter 9

A few weeks passed, Lio was still looking for the existence of the demons who were hiding. Unfortunately, he got nothing.

"Sir, are you going to follow that girl again?"

"Hmmm. I still need his eyes to search for the whereabouts of demons. If it goes on like this. I will stay longer in this mortal world" he said, confirming the buttons of his shirt.

"Hem, but the last time he turned you down. Do you have any other way to convince her?"

"I'll force him if I have to"

As usual, Lio went to the cafe where Nada worked.

"Hey you. Where did the girl who used to serve here go?" lio asked one of the waiters at the cafe.

"Ah, you mean Nada? He just got home. The cafe started having a change of waiters"

Without speaking again, Lio also came out of the cafe. He set his foot to go look for Nada.

"You're planning on going to his house?" firefly Word.

"Yes"

"But you don't know where the house is"

"You can find him"

"But I'm not that good. After all, we don't have anything or anything that smells"

Lio stopped his steps while at a crossroads.

"Look, I don't even need the Goddess of luck" Lio said confidently.

He saw Nada who had just crossed the street in a hurry. Without much ado, Lio immediately followed Nada.

There was a squeak of car tires and horns everywhere as Lio crossed the road.

"Hey you, are you blind? Cross it at will" scorned one of the drivers.

Lio did not heed and continued to walk across the road despite the many passing vehicles.

"They all look angry" said the firefly.

"Ck, let it go. Humans are such creatures"

With quick footsteps, Lio was already behind Nada. Lio was about to summon Nada, but he stopped his intention when he saw someone who was followed by Nada.

"He was following the man sir"

Lio's footsteps turned slow.

"It looks like he's seeing the devil again"

"Hem, are you able to detect what emotions are inside the demon's air" said Lio who still followed Nada silently.

"Can't, we're not too close"

When he saw the man enter an alley, Nada also slowed his footsteps. He hides behind a wall while monitoring the man.

"Where'd he go?" muttered Nada while narrowing his eyes because the light in the alley was minimal.

"You see her again?" said Lio who suddenly had his face already near Nada's ear.

"Aakk-"

Lio quickly silenced Nada's mouth with his hand.

"Sstt, lower your voice. He can hear it" Lio whispered.

The tone swallowed his salivary then nodded lightly. Slowly Lio lowered her hand.

"You, what are you doing here? You following me?" whispered Nada.

Lio nodded lightly. "Yes, and I saw you following that guy"

"I told you, I don't want to help you. So don't bother me" Nada was about to leave but was restrained by Lio.

"Don't be rash, look at him" Lio said as he directed his gaze at the man earlier.

The tone followed Lio's direction. The man was standing in the corner of the alley. Faintly seen the man pulled something out of his pocket, seen a small bottle filled with drinks and then chugged it.

"That's .." muttered Nada surprised.

"What's wrong?"

"The air that was emanated in that thing, just like the thing I found in that brothel"

"really? Then let's catch him" said Lio about to leave.

"Don't, don't kill him" Nada said. "He's just a human being, please don't kill him"

"Foolish man, do you think I want to kill him?"

"Then, what do you want?"

"I want to catch him and detect what demons are behind him" Lio explained.

"So, you ... Won't kill him?"

"If he's harmless, I won't kill him either. Besides, you said it yourself. That bottle is what exudes the devil, right? So I need to investigate where he came from"

Nada was dumbfounded while looking at Lio.

"Hey you" said Nada Gasping. "Where was that guy?"

"He's gone" Lio said as he turned around and left Nada.

"Eh wait" said Nada following. "You, there's no way he's gonna run away? Why don't you go after him?"

"He's not around here anymore?"

"What's? That fast? How do you know that? Can you detect it?"

"Hem, obviously you have to help me. I need your eyesight to look for them" Lio said without stopping his steps.

"Hey, I still have things in that brothel. Can you detect it from that thing?"

Lio stopped his steps.

"You, is there still that thing?"

"Yes, I'll take you there now if you can track him down with just that thing"

"Good, get me there quickly"

Nada also invites Lio to go to his D'hunter headquarters.

"Sir, I think he's agreed to help you"

"Good"

"You, why don't you use that thing to find the devil?" ask Lio.

"I can't, I can only see the devil. I can't trace it" said Nada lirih.

"This is our base. D'hunter" Nada said as she opened the door.

Lio followed Nada into the warehouse. His eyes looked all over the room. Seen from outside the warehouse is very small and stuffy. After entering, the room was very large. It looks like some tools and computers are located there.

"You wait here for a while, I'll go get it" said Nada then went to a small table in the corner of the room.

Lio waited while looking around. There are some photos on the wall. Lio's eyes were fixed on an article hanging there.

"D'hunter? A demon exterminator who has been around for 60 years? Ck ck. Then what are they doing? Even until now the seven demon lords were still alive. These humans must be wasting their time" he murmured.

"Lio ... This" Nada said from behind Lio's body while giving a small box.

"Where do you know my name?" lio said with his trademark cold face.

"Hem, I accidentally saw you with Dean's doctor a few days ago" Lio explained.

"Oh"

"So, can you track him?"

Before Lio answered, suddenly came a man and woman into the warehouse.

"You're home already?" the woman said that it was none other than Tiara.

"Yes, at my place now on shift. So I can go home tonight"

"You who?" said the man who was next to Tiara by looking at Lio sharply.

"Ah, that's Lio. He can help us to track the whereabouts of the devil. Brian, we might be able to track down the true whereabouts of the devil and kill him"

"Nada, since when have you been this stupid? You even brought an outsider into our base. Don't you know, he might be a spy for the demons"

"Devil isn't as interested in humans as you are" Lio said casually without looking at Brian.

"You-you"

"Only with your little strength will you have no effect on those demons. So why are they spying on you?" lio said disparagingly.

"You-you"

"WATCH!!" yelled at someone who just came in.

"What's the matter Vir?" nada.

"Navig ... There's a lot of bodies outside"
