Chapter 66

The day after the long journey, they arrived at Layer's headquarters. Without much ado Lio immediately told Kevin to show the stone he found.

"Can't I rest? Let me rest for a while" Kevin complained. "I'm injured even my body has not recovered''

"You're so spoiled" muttered Lio as he got out of his car.

"Hey, I'm human too. I need a break. You think I'm a robot"

While walking in, Lio was presented with a view of the headquarters that was so wide. With guards on guard at every corner of the base.

Shortly after their arrival, someone walked up to them.

"Welcome, sir" said the man, saluting Lio and Kevin.

"How's the base doing when we're staying, Willy? No problem, right?" said Kevin.

"No sir. Headquarters are fine" Willy replied.

"Good"

"Come, show me the way. I want to see the stone immediately" Lio said impatiently.

"Alright, but after I rest and eat for a while"

"There is no rest. From yesterday we've been wasting time"

"Basic crazy. I don't want to know, I'll rest first" Kevin said as he left Lio. "Oh, it looks like my wounds are open again because of being upset" he murmured.

"Sir, you should also go clean up and rest" Willy said.

"Haish, okay. Show me the way"

They decided to take a break for a while. Lio was brought into the room at the base. It was vaguely like Lio was indeed no stranger to that place. After taking a shower and resting for a while, Lio was already impatiently looking for Kevin.

"Where is he?" he told Willy.

"I'm here" cried Kevin behind him. "You're not so impatient"

"Well, two hours isn't enough? Take me there first, and then you can go"

"You can go there yourself. It's a basement you made yourself" Kevin said. "Ah, forgot. You're going crazy" he muttered as he walked ahead of Lio.

When entering the room, the door has very tight access needs several passwords in order to get into it. Security was so high to prevent intruders or demons from entering there, and of course it was all Lio's own idea.

When he entered the room, Lio already smelled a very strong demon smell. The spacious and soundproof room seemed to stifle his chest.

"Don't forget to close the door again" Lio said, preventing that if there was a demon there, it wouldn't be able to escape.
