Grief And Longing Darren

The next day the members of the Smith family were already in good order. They continued to do activities as usual, even though their minds still think of their husbands, fathers, uncles and brothers. They continue to hope and pray for their loved ones to return safely.

Now they are at the dinner table to have breakfast together.

Breakfast this morning they were not with someone so dear. Seen by them an empty seat without occupants.

They stared at the empty chair. And without being asked, their tears fell down each other's faces.

"Papa." Melvin suddenly called out his father.

Agneta, Darren and the others immediately turned their attention to look at Melvin's face.

Hearing the words from Melvin made their chests tight. It's not just Melvin who misses Erland so much. They all miss Erland a lot too, especially Darren.

"I miss Papa too. This is the fifth day that Papa has been in a plane crash" Ivan said.

All of them could only remain silent as their eyes stared at the empty chair Erland used to sit on. In addition, they remember every moment when breakfast with Erland.

Darren vented all his sadness and longing for his father accompanied by tears that kept flowing down his cheeks.
