Part 14 Refusing to be Loved by Alex

In the afternoon, Melodi returned from her company. He gets out of the car and he walks into Alex's mansion.

The melody that saw Alex sitting by reading the newspaper in his hand on the living room sofa, he deliberately passed by without saying hello to a word.

"Just come home from work?" said Alex who folded the newspaper he was holding.

Melody stopped her footsteps when she heard Alex's words

"Yes" Melodi replied without looking at Alex.

"What is your daily activity like this coming home almost magrib?" ask Alex again.

"Yes." replied Melody quickly.

Alex who heard the short answer from Moura and did not turn his head in the slightest towards her. He only sighed harshly to face a wife who did not love him.

"Well, may I ask you a favor, Mel?" alex asks Melodi, forced to turn her body to face Alex, who is standing in front of her.

"Ask anything, if I can answer then I will answer." Melodi replied by looking at the watch in her hand.

"I want you to be my confiding friend, do you have time to accompany me?" alex's question made Melodi speechless.

"Why did Alex ask me to be his confiding friend? Is he in some kind of big trouble?" ask Melody in your heart. He looked at Alex's face that looked lethargic and lacking in spirit.

"If you're busy, you don't have to find it hard to share your time with me. I understand that you're a career woman" Alex said, stepping out of front of Melodi.

Melody who felt sorry for Alex, she immediately held Alex's hand to remain standing in place.

"Wait, I'll accompany you whenever you want." Melodi said, making Alex happy.

"Well, after dinner tonight I'll take you to my room. I want to share something."

"Yes." reply Melody.

After dinner together, Melodi and Alex go into Alex's room next to Melodi's room. They keep sleeping different rooms because a marriage without the element of love will not build trust and mutual belonging. Melody's initiative to make rules like this was because she had thought far. She did not want to give birth to Alex's child without the element of love and certainly her child did not get the love and affection of both parents. Let that time say for the marriage conditions Melodi and Alex.

Melody who was in Alex's room, he chose to sit on the sofa. Likewise with Alex who chose to sit on the sofa opposite Melodi.

"You want to just tell me? But, no snacks and drinks?" said Melodi and Alex immediately told the housemaid to bring chocolate cake food and Melodic favorite guava juice.

Alex receives a tray containing food and drinks given by his housemaid. Then, he walked over to the sofa table.

"Eat, I don't want you to be hungry to listen to my story" Alex said, echoing a quick nod by Melodi.

"I plan to expand my business in other countries. I wanted to quit my job at the government office" Alex said, starting a conversation with Melodi.

Melody just nodded with her mouth continuing to chew her favorite cake.

"Continue?"

"I've been thinking hard about this. If I promote my efforts abroad, I will rarely be at home. I don't want you to feel lonely in my house. I know you're not interested in my topic. But, you must know because you are my wife. But, on the other hand I want to make someone fall in love with me-" Alex's words come to a halt as Melody chokes on food.

Melody immediately drank the water given by Alex. Somehow Alex's words made him surprised and his heart ached.

"Why do I feel like I don't want to be abandoned by Alex?" ask Melody in your heart.

"Who is that woman? That means you can divorce me from this unexpected marriage?" melody's words made Alex's face flat and cold.

"Can you not discuss divorce?" ask Alex.

"Aren't you the one who said you wanted to make someone fall in love with you? That means you're in love with another woman Alex. Why maintain a household without the element of love? In the end, we hurt each other." Melodi replied.

"Not necessarily, you misperceive me who easily loves others. Moreover, divorce is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. Many procedures need to be completed and if successful in dealing with divorce. Are you willing to be a widow at a young age?" obviously Alex is at length but Melodi doesn't heed his words.

"Well, how else, I don't love." Melody draped her hands together on her stomach.

"Love can grow, over time. Love will grow, if both parties can build a household well. I know it's hard, but please Melodi learn to appreciate me. I'm your husband and forget your dead fiancee." Alex's words enraged Melodi.

Melody stood up from her seat, she did not like Alex daring to replace Miko's position in her heart.

"Enough Alex! Don't rule my life! I can take care of my own life! I don't like you interfering in my affairs! You are my husband but not everything I want you to manage as you please. If you can't be my husband anymore, just divorce me! Make a report that I can't give offspring or commit acts of domestic violence. In order for the divorce process to be processed quickly," said Melodi then stepped away from Alex's room.

Alex who saw Melodi offended at her words, grabbed her hair in annoyance.

"I was wrong what did I try? I just asked my wife to stop another man. I don't want my wife to suffer. I deserve to have my wife." Alex said.

While Melodi had entered her room, she exhaled her body on a king-size padded mattress inside her room. He looked at the white ceiling of his room. He was excited by the words of Alex who told him to forget the man he loved so far.

"Alex, that's too! She thinks I love other people easily, huh? Did she forget about this silly wedding and apparently dress geeky which is far from interesting? I was disgusted at him" said Melodi, then hitting a pillow to channel her emotions.

Melody remains in her stance, she will not love any man except Miko. He has promised to still love Miko and no other man to take Miko's place in his heart.

"Let me maintain a selfish attitude, but I am not greedy for love. I don't want to fall in the same hole and the pain of being abandoned by the man I love." that's the principle of Melodi's life traumatized by the man she loves. After Miko's presence in her life and giving love sincerity makes her believe in true love. But, fate willed another, Melodi lost Miko again.
