CHAPTER 23: Executing the Punishment

The Noah family residence

"Noah! Noah!" Shouted Clara who had just arrived at her mother-in-law's house looking for Noah.

"Why the morning you've been screaming like a forest man Clara," said mama Noah who came to his daughter-in-law in the living room.

"Ma did Noah stay here last night?" Clara asked her in-laws.

"Isn't he your husband? Why would he stay here?" Mama Noah asked back.

"Yes I know ma, but last night he didn't come back to the apartment, he said he would stay here" Clara replied.

"Noah did not stay here, even two days he did not come to visit us" said mama Noah.

Clara who heard her mother-in-law's words was getting upset, which meant Noah lied to her last night.

"If Noah didn't stay at this house and then he slept last night where would he? Is he with another woman?" Clara asked her in-laws.

"Already Clara, you don't have to think too much about your husband, just let him occasionally look for pleasure outside don't be too limiting," said mama Noah with ease.

"Mama mean I should let it go if Noah's having fun with another woman and betraying me?" Clara's question had already begun to emotion hearing her in-laws' words.

"Had a man like that Clara, you don't have to be so important that all your needs are still met, maybe your husband is too tired with his job and needs entertainment, he said, especially since marrying you, Noah always gets into trouble" said Noah's mom.

"It's better that you just shut up, it's useless for me to come here" said Clara, then out of Noah's parents' house with a feeling of annoyance mixed with emotions.

"Based on the brash daughter-in-law, there is no courtesy to her parents, I regret making her my daughter-in-law, especially now that Kanzia has turned out to be very beautiful," murmured mama Noah after Clara's departure.

"Arghh,, damn why it's all like this, it must be all because of that fucking Kanzia, don't let Noah see that damn girl" Clara muttered while driving her car.

"I have to see my mom who knows she knows where Kanzia lives, I have to teach her a lesson, don't think because now that she's beautiful, she can just as easily be with me," gerutu Clara then drove his car to meet his mother.

Arriving at her parents' residence Clara rushes to meet her mother.

"Ma! mama!" call Clara.

"Is there anything Clara did you just come yelling so vaguely like that?" said Maya.

"Do you know where Kanzia lives?" Ask Clara directly .

"Why are you asking where Kanzia lives?" Maya looks surprised with her daughter who arrives asking where Kanzia lives.

"I wanted to teach the damned girl a lesson, ever since she returned Noah's attitude to me was changing even more, even she brightly brightly before me stared at Kanzia in awe." Upset Clara tells Noah's attitude.

"Mama doesn't know where Kanzia lives, but you've heard from your dad that Kanzia works in the Pramudya group" Maya tells Clara.

"I have to go see that damn girl" Clara said.

"But you have to keep heart, mama felt like there was someone protecting the girl, even the mama's man who asked to get rid of kanzia until now there was no news, they're lost somewhere" Maya warns Clara to be careful with Kanzia.

"Mama take it easy, don't worry about Clara, I just want to make a calculation with her" Clara said before leaving.

Clara immediately left her parents' house and drove her car to where Kanzia worked.

It has been three hours Kanzia struggled with the book before him, he really spent his work time to read the book Jonathan gave. Not feeling any time for lunch, Kanzia closed the book she was reading, she moved out of the room.

"It turns out that being punished like this is exhausting as well" Kanzia murmured, looking at some of the books in his work desk, which he had to read as a form of punishment from Jonathan.

"Where are you going?" Jonathan asked, who saw Kanzia coming out of his room.

"Just wait here I've ordered lunch, we eat together here" Jonathan said without looking at Kanzia.

"No need sir, I'd better have lunch in the cafeteria instead" Kanzia said, refusing to have lunch with Jonathan.

"Let's just wait a minute for the food to arrive,"

"But, sir," Kanzia's words stopped because she saw Jonathan's cold gaze, not wanting to hear Kanzia's rejection, resignedly returned Kanzia to her desk.

"I really want to hit him on the head with my shoes, it seems like next time I need cyanide to make him tea," Kanzia grumbled inwardly, thinking of a crazy idea because of his frustration with his boss.

Tok,,, tock,, tock,,,

The sound of the door being knocked from outside.

Kanzia got up to open the door. "This is Mr. Jonathan's order" said a man who delivered food and gave his message to Kanzia.

"Oh yes thank you sir,"

"It's the same, then I'll excuse you first" said the person.

Kanzia starts arranging the food on the table, Jonathan who sees it immediately stops his work and approaches Kanzia.

"Please sir," said Kanzia to let his boss.

"Eat a lot should no gossip circulate if an employee faints from starvation,"

"I'm not going to faint just because I'm not eating enough, but I'm going to faint because I have to be in a room with a perverted and annoying boss like you," who only dares to be spoken to in my heart by Kanzia.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Are you cursing at me?" Jonathan asked who saw Kanzia's annoyed look.

"no sir, please continue lunch sir" Kanzia said with a sweet smile.

They began to eat the food on the table calmly.

"Oh yes Zia, about the company cooperation proposal Mr Rudi have you decided? Do you think the company is worthy to work with our company?" Jonathan asked between his meals.

"I've read the contents of the proposal, but there seems to be too much discrepancy from the proposal, so if I think that our company should not have to work with that company before something bad happens that can harm our company" explained Kanzia.

"Alright then you can directly contact the company Mr. Rudi and tell him about this."

"Okay sir" said Kanzia.

Jonathan smiled proudly at all Kanzia's explanations, in fact he already knew about it only he deliberately tested Kanzia's ability. No doubt if his wife does have an intelligent brain, it's just that the bad luck in the past covered all the talent in his possession.

"I did all this for your good Zia, you must be prepared before you know who you really are, you have to be a tough girl to deal with everyone who intends to get rid of you and I will always be by your side to protect you." Inner Jonathan.
