As long as there is Time

Before his eyes opened completely, one of his hands felt a tingling sensation holding his face while he was

asleep at his desk. As it turned out, the sun had been high enough to shine a light on the world, he had just woken up after the light shone on his face.

“Huuh... I regret not immediately going to the room last night, instead sleeping here which makes the body feel sore” he stretched his entire body after standing up. “Truely too, why is there no one who

woke me, huh? I'm sure, at least early in the morning there will be someone looking for me related to yesterday's problems. But.. let's” she continued after the barley stretched her body.

He did not know, Guild Master Alfrederic had indeed come here to talk about the chimera monster being taken away by a mysterious group of people and included talking about the group that was

intended. However, she is barred from entering her study after Karina sees Veroa's exhausted face while she sleeps at her desk.

“Eh? Wow... the servants are understanding, I was hungry after waking up badamangan” when he turned towards the front, I said, he just realized on the table that is devoted to guests in this room there is food that has been presented neatly, ready to be eaten by him.

Half that was left of the breakfast before it ran out, a knock on the door was heard, followed by a soft voice that seemed to be slowed down. Not waiting for a response from her, the door opened and Karina appeared from behind the door entering the room.

His face was confused as he looked towards Veroa's desk. It seemed, the person in question was not there and had woken up a moment ago. “Gentleman to where ya?” after saying that, he chose to return and how surprised he was when he saw the person he was looking for was eating at the guest table without being noticed by him.

“Eh Sir. Kirain, you're not here. Forgive me who has been presumptuous to enter the room Sir, I do not mean to-“ his words stopped because Veroa cut his words.

“I know your reasons, so it's okay. Oh yes, if you do not realize I was here before, then it is not you dong who brought this food, huh?” Veroa in fact did not bother about such trivial things, actually he felt uncomfortable too because Karina often apologized for the small mistakes she made. He had told her several times not to think about it, but it seemed like Karina was hard not to do it.

“Then it is, I told the waiter to deliver breakfast to your study while I received guest” Karina mentioned that Guild Master Alfrederic after he had breakfast visited the palace. This Guild Master seemed to have a pretty important topic to discuss with Veroa, though, so several times persuaded until a little forcing Karina who until finally he gave up to meet Veroa at that time and intend to wait.

“Ah, she's waiting in the palace garden? Alright, I will go there soon after finishing this breakfast. Not good if the breakfast is still leftover, pity the chef who has tired of cooking it”

His arrival here turned out to be still discussing related to a mysterious group that was said by adventurers to be very strong. He asks Veroa for an opinion on this matter, whether it is further followed up or left alone, considering that the mysterious group only has affairs with chimera monsters which actually have nothing to do with Tungsten City.

“Before we know their identity and what the motive is to target this chimera monster, we must still find out first and remain vigilant. We won't know if they're dangerous or not, even if there's no clue at this point. At the very least, send an expert scout to investigate it with self-safety priority. If it comes to threatening this city, I will be in charge” Veroa this time said seriously which was immediately responded with a nod by Guild Master Alfrederic full of earnestness.

Karina who was observing the conversation raised both of her eyebrows. He did not expect Veroa to go that far only for something uncertain. Moreover, he found out about this imminent personal battle that concerned him. Although she felt moved, because Veroa had come that far, she was also worried about Veroa's condition.

After the conversation was over, Veroa escorted the Guild Master Alfrederic all the way to the palace gates. She then invites Karina to spend a little time with Vina in the park, she thinks Karina is too focused on her work so forget to take the time to accompany Vina and most importantly there

recess. Luckily, Vina has a playmate, a moon rabbit who keeps watching her at all times.

Both of them sit under a tree beside the pond, the foliage drains the sunlight that makes around them shady and cool. Veroa did not intend to look for a topic or seemed to want to talk, he was waiting for Karina to let out her voice which had been detained by him.

Finally, after a long sigh from Karina, he turned his head and looked at Veroa fixedly, as if he did not care about his status as a baroness. He said, “May I know, what is the reason you have come so far, about the person I hate the most until you decide to fight against Rome?”

“You know, I don't like anyone bothering my – people, especially you who have been helping with – government duties. I'm sure you also questioned my actions regarding that mysterious group of people, ‘kan?” he looked back at Karina, looking at a pair of beautiful eyes like blue jewels, light

it is also reflected so clearly. After seeing the nod of Karina's slow fist, she continued saying “There is still time for that war, why don't I take advantage of this time to prevent problems that might come later?”

Karina was stunned to hear that, she did not expect that the burden that Veroa had borne on her shoulders was so heavy. He knew, large-scale warfare to involve one kingdom should at least have a thorough preparation in advance. Veroa intends to prevent the problems that will come though still vague, there is indeed a time for it but the time to prepare for the upcoming war will be seized a lot, the war that has been scheduled is two weeks from now. This news had yet to circulate, and it left Karina feeling perplexed by the actions of this City Lord.

“No way my lord won't involve the soldiers of this city, ‘right? There was no sign he would tell the soldiers about this. Or maybe, he had gathered an army without my knowledge!?” given that there had been no uproar regarding this unilateral and personal declaration of war, he felt incomprehensible to the situation.
