Time to Send a Love Letter

The safety issue in the forest had returned quite safely with the healing of the chimera monsters that were previously possessed by dark energy that made anyone would go crazy, including humans. The road leading to the City of Tungsten was back to its original state, quite safe.

For several days, Veroa assigned adventurers to take turns guarding and caring for chimera monsters that were on recovery. He also every day, as many as three times routinely check the conditions in the forest where chimera monsters are treated.

The chimera monster had indeed become unconscious. At first this monster felt himself threatened by the existence of humans who always observe it. But, a few days passed, his instinct said this – person had no malicious intentions. Moreover, he realized, it seemed that in addition to keeping himself to recover his body condition from the influence of dark energy, they were also taking good care of him.

Returning two days after the chimera monster was freed from the influence of dark energy, Veroa sent a letter with the aim of Barrium City, the Kingdom of Rome where King Arthur was located. The letter he sent using a dove was not attached to the seal of the Kingdom of Sylvani, but in the form of a personal letter that will make the party who will read it laugh out loud to respond.

On the other hand, a few days after Veroa sent her love letter, the dove finally reached its destination safely thanks to a secret escort of magic troops called Veroa. And as Veroa had previously alleged, King Arthur to let out a little tears so that he could not bear the contents of the letter he read.

Veroa in fact sent a personal letter of war challenging one kingdom. Anyone who reads it must feel that the person who sent the letter is crazy, silly with the actions he has done. But, if the person who has an alert and careful personality, he will still take it seriously and prepare everything to face the threat.

Veroa has determined the timing of the war to take place when and where. But, because he felt sure that the person who read it would not take it seriously, at that time, he said, he would only send scouts first to the place he had been determined to while he went with his troops to directly attack Barrium City, as an early warning.

This news only a few people know, even the nobles in the Kingdom of Sylvani itself no one knows including his family, except Karina who does live in the palace with Veroa. Actually there is nothing to cover according to Veroa, but he does not want to attract too much attention, although in reality, sooner or later everyone will know it too.

While looking at the beautiful twilight sky from behind the window in his study, the entrance to his room knocked on him followed by the voice of a woman he knew asking for permission to enter.

“Come in!” Veroa was still looking at the twilight sky before Karina opened the door, entering the room with a look of a face that seemed like something less than good had just happened.

“Tuan-” immediately stopped, because Veroa also spoke at the same time.

“Say!” Veroa intended to ask his arrival just to mince words, but he did not think the situation was severe enough when viewed from the look of his face and his actions seemed rushed.

“The adventurers got an attack from a mysterious group of people wearing uniform clothes. Some people are seriously injured, but none endanger lives. More importantly, the chimera monster becomes their incarnation, and they take it away with the help of space-moving magic.” explains Karina.

Veroa was not immediately in action after hearing the explanation from Karina which was actually quite surprising to him as well. He thought and digested this news, up to several possibilities and a conclusion has been obtained by him in a short time so that it does not make Karina wait too long to hear his words in response to this bad news.

“Please get the magic users to meet me in this room. For some reason, I leave it to Guild Master Alfrederic.” said Veroa who stopped at something that felt like there was something to say. Before Karina decides to leave, because she thinks, she has to take the initiative to leave while Veroa thinks of things so as not to disturb her, Veroa then asked “Did anyone – that person not one say anything? Who knows could be a clue in dealing with this problem”

It turned out that Karina missed something important, while she forgot about it. Then, he conveyed it with embarrassment but tried to be ignored by him and prioritized the important information, “Please forgive me Sir, I forgot about it. True, the – people said that they had been targeting this chimera monster earlier. They thought that the adventurers had deliberately stolen his quarry. Hence, they attacked the adventurers after saying such words without intending to listen to the explanations from the adventurers”

“Hm... they previously targeted this chimera monster? Are they the culprits who instilled dark energy in the chimera monster?” Veroa asked trying to understand the situation further.

However, Karina shook her head slowly while saying “I'm sorry Sir, I didn't know about it. Do I need to give orders to adventurers who are specialized in the field of reconnaissance to look for such information?”

Veroa thought for a moment before answering. He considered the impact that would befall the scouts and security of this city if they did not like being stalked, whereas it could be that when these scouts did their duty, they were caught. He himself did not know the characteristics of this group of people, which surely according to the news he received, they were very strong. “What a potential risk that will happen is really big” muttered Veroa in a soft voice.

Realizing that she had taken too long to make Karina stand up, she apologized and let her go as she slipped into her thoughts into the night. His forehead wrinkled, thinking of the steps he should take in this matter. Not to mention, he had already sent his love letter to the fate of the Kingdom of Rome.

In his deep enough mind, there was something that seemed like it was about to be conveyed to himself, something that was missed by him. He tried to dive into his mind, but it was difficult while his mind was thinking about other things. He sat down on the chair beside the window until midnight with his frown continuously frowning. Only then, the frown on his forehead slowly disappeared, something he missed turned out to be a basic and trivial thing that definitely – people had noticed as well.

“Monster that chimera belongs to no one, but why should I bother with it when it was taken by a mysterious group? Indeed they hurt the adventurers, but there were no casualties, according to the news I got.” He only realized, this was a whisper from a deep enough heart that had just been conveyed to him. “It turns out, I was carried away by Karina who brought this news with an expression that made me have to think hard.  Ah really, in vain time and energy I think of unnecessary things” murmured as he turned his gaze to the moon shining so brightly adorning the starless night, no clouds.

“But, somehow I want to bring the chimera back, as if the monster is asking for help and feels tormented there.”.
