Ethan had planned to complete several levels of the simulator while learning how to make some magic projectiles, but in the end, he did not even reach the second stage. Understanding the logic behind slime magic turned out to be more difficult than he thought, and since there was no point in reaching the next stage without learning such simple magic, he did not do so. As if that wasn't enough, the more resistance one raised, the slower, the harder it was to get them to level up. The process was already made that way, but Ethan didn't progress as much as he thought because he received less and less damage.

"Not bad for a day's progress, I guess," Ethan shrugged. “Stay, I should have known that I would not progress so quickly in playing with slime.”
“I guess playing with slime is not something that many students do.”
Ethan wants to take his time and then chooses some souvenirs for his family, but since he doesn't like being stared at, he decides to go back and buy things from home. As he touched his watch, he heard someone call his name.
"Wait wait!" Said Ian.
Nothing good came out of involving herself with Lyla's students because she left a bad impression on them. So, Ethan ignores her and returns home. Although he appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the living room, Michael and Evelyn did not even budge. They're probably used to seeing Hannah come and go.
"Welcome back, Ethan," Evelyn smiled. "You're back sooner than we thought."
"Yeah, I think you'll be back after only two or three days because of that simulator" Michael said with a grin. “It looks like you are no longer addicted to games.”
"Come ..." Ethan took a breath. “I would never do such a thing. Moreover, I have not spent so much time playing games in the past. "
It was one of the weak reasons, and it made his parents laugh even more. Ethan loved to play games to the point that his parents called him a ghost on the second floor in the past. Because he barely saw any sunlight during the weekend.
"It looks like big brother isn't home" Ethan said as he looked up at the ceiling. "Did he work? What did he do for the government? ”
"I really don't know" replied Michael. "I'm not good at technology or magic."
“To put it simply, Hannah is one of the few magicians out there who can open portals between worlds and make them usable,” Evelyn said. “I also do not really understand about this, but it seems, the portal should be stable to use, or those who use it may be seriously injured or transferred to an unknown world.”
It looks like Hannah is more amazing than she looks. Although Ethan only used a stable portal created by an unknown creature, he could imagine how dangerous it was to use an unstable portal. For someone like him, who had trouble learning how to create a Fireball, making the interworld portal seemed more impressive than defeating a demon lord.
“Thanks to his strength, he is also responsible for the diplomacy between Earth and many planets,” Evelyn added.
"I wonder if the job really suits him," Ethan frowned. “Kakak is the type of person who can not be serious for a long time, and ends up making jokes at inappropriate moments.”
"Ethan ..." said Michael.
"I'm kidding," Ethan laughed. “He does have a lot of contacts with the government, doesn't he? I wondered if he could help me with something. I need to talk to him, but I don't have a phone, and I probably shouldn't call him when he's gone. "
"I'm pretty sure I saw your sister using that watch as a phone a few times, '" Michael frowned. “Can't you do the same?”
Ethan didn't hear anything about it, but he decided to keep trying. There were no numbers on the screen, and although he searched for a while, he did not find a phone list or anything similar that could initiate a call. So, Ethan decides to use his voice.
"Call Michael Clark's residence number" Ethan said.
Strangely enough, at that moment, their home phone started ringing. That's rare nowadays, but Ethan is more interested in why a simple watch can do so much. Because Ethan stayed too long in the simulator without stopping, he was very hungry. So, she waited patiently for dinner before stuffing herself with her mother's home cooking. His body was fine, but his mind was tired after training for so long. Though not very intense, Ethan heads to his room after dinner to rest and meditate.
"I don't know when big sister will be back, so I have to solve this problem myself" Ethan murmured while lying on the bed and facing the ceiling. “How can I control where I am?”
While meditating, Ethan recalls hundreds of times the presence of slime he faced that day. The things he felt when they cast the spell and when the spell hit him. Still, he could not imitate their actions. Although he could replicate the physical skills he had learned due to his second grade, the same could not be applied to magic. Ethan does not have much mana, but the small amount he has, does not respond to his wishes in any way.
"Maybe if I raise a group of mana .." muttered Ethan. “If I remember correctly, I already have enough mana when I use my first spell. I wonder if that's the case.I don't have much, so even though I can feel it, I can't control it. It must be a matter of experience and skill. "
