Brutal Family
Part 7 Association

"Una sister?"

Sophia looked back as I was chasing. The bike stopped too. Sophia ran towards me.

"Aren't you coming to Opi?"

It sounds sad to be accused of such a child. I was nervous to see him walking the bike towards us. He stared flat.

"Nina is gone" I told Sophia in the middle of trying to catch her breath.

He smiled at my reasons. Sophia seemed to think.

"Nina must want to drink mimi first, sister. Later Opi bring Nina to the house of Kak Una again ya."

I just nod. Secretly glanced at him behind Sophia.

"You coming?" tanyanya.

"Huh?"

"We have an event in the saung. Wanna come?"

Sophia shook my hand as she looked up, "Yes come on, Brother Una come to the yuk saung."

"But I can just go home" I said pointing back without looking back, not to refuse just that my courage had receded. "So it was just a coincidence to see Sophia. So.." yeah yeah, suddenly my watered-down brain went blank.

"Where does Una really know how to go home?" Sophia smiled ignorantly.

I turned my body, damn it behind me on the crossroads. The two are similar, and this is a rice field area. I gulped a rough mouth too, completely forgetting. For a moment I stared back at Sophia's bead, the fear of the events in the forest being repeated.

"Follow it. There's your brother all right," he turned his bike, got ready to go. "Come Pi, sit in front huh. Let Brother Bungah in the back."

"Ready, Boss!" salute Sophia then ran showing off her rabbit teeth.

Sophia sat on her side in front. Then I was still in place, until he turned to my composure, "Come on."

Somewhat doubt I held her shoulder, balancing the standing position behind her. This bike took us to slide through the cool breeze. Sophia was so happy. Even me, can't hide the turmoil of being this close to him.

Along the way, we made no sound but to hear Sophia. I enjoy the greenness of nature as far as the eye can see. Wondering if I really walked him. My cheeks were suddenly hot to see her hair was messed up in the wind.

Then the problem about Papa evaporates just like that. I wish I could be like this every day. Life is calm, flowing as it pleases like the wind.

We arrived at an empty land near the river. A group of young people circled a huge fire. The smell of roasted meat was inhaled from the side of the road.

Because none of me know. So I followed her, while Sophia immediately shuddered somewhere. We were greeted by shocked gazes, some looked lazy. Brother Heman was there too, he was the only one to greet me. At least besides Sophia and him, there's Brother Heman I know.

"It's for a dude." Brother Heman thrusting one fish gosong still on the skewer.

"That's A Eman's," one of the children's protests made me hesitate to hold a bamboo handle. Everyone's attention is focused on me.

"Take it, I can burn some more fish." Brother Heman looked at me expectantly. Because it did not get a response, Brother Heman also grabbed my hand to hold the handle of his satay. "Eat," said Brother Heman, ruining my hair.

"Favor Brother."

Brother Heman smiled gently, leaving me with the confusion of what to do next. I decided to sit on a tree trunk a little away from the crowd. Observing the laughter of those cousins. He said I was their part. I am actually a stranger here. Strangers deserve to feel their warmth. Even he laughed, his eyes hardly looked so happy. No one cares about my presence.

I miss home, miss Canada, miss my friends there. I could only sigh, always claustrophobic when recalling the past.

In the middle of the crowd, her laughter stopped as her eyes were ripped apart by me. He stared for a few seconds, before exiting the group. Its long legs run small, not releasing arches on the lips. Damnit. She's so sweet.

"Hey!"

Unexpectedly, he had been near me. We both enjoyed the crowd, we sat side by side.

"Where? The fish is good?"

I nodded at a glance, weighing the exact word over the dish, "Agot a charade, anyway."

He laughed at my answer. My feelings alone or it is true that he laughs easily. Nothing is funny.

"Yes, it's a charlatan" he said again with laughter.

"But good."

"Yes, you will get used to it."

"Later?"

He nodded, "Yes, you will get used to eating at this gathering. Usually every Sunday or depending on the circumstances, we can get together at any time."

He spoke as if I were coming again.

"I won't be here anymore" I said.

I'm speechless.

"If you're uncomfortable, I'll talk to Heman. He can understand."

"No." My hands are choppy. We sat for a long time. I remember the same incident the last night she wrote the sentence never to see me again. I also blocked her hand that night, like this. But this time I felt strange. Maybe because I was too happy we could have a dialogue.

"You're gonna embarrass me. Em ...."

"Style."

"Huh?"

He put his hand in the air. "My name is Jaya."

***

"Thank you."

Jay drove me back home. After getting acquainted directly, in addition to knowing his full name, I also always flowered due to his treatment.

"Together."

"Aa, Opi's sleepy. You can sleep in Una's room, right?" ask Sophia yawn. The boy was sleepy from that moment.

"We sleep at home, Pi. We will soon be home. That's Opi's house in sight."

Sophia nodded at her older brother.

"Engh yeah already, dude, we're leaving huh. Afraid Sophia overslept, she's heavy if I have to carry her," joey Jaya.

"Yes, it's Opi."

Sophia waved weakly.

"Eh Jaya," Jaya didn't go.

"Yes?"

I looked down embarrassed, something tickled my stomach as I said his name. "Word Goddess, when I passed out during the flag ceremony, you brought me to the UKS huh? Thanks for helping. Actually, I wanted to tell you all day. But we, I mean I just have a chance near you now."

"It's okay. That's my duty too. Om Lingga leave you at school, let alone one class. As brothers, we have to take care of each other, right? And, now if there's anything there's no need to hesitate. As long as I can help."

The answer is true, but-but-no. There's a side of me that demands more.

I smile. Jaya is a good person. Why would I wish more on him, more relationship than brother huh? Oh my God, man, he's your cousin. He's the same as your brother.

"Ekhem."

A heavy voice cleared behind me after Jaya's departure.

Papa holds his hands on the porch. It was my first time to leave home after moving. I came home the other night and was delivered by a man.

I'm not afraid, Papa also dared to bring women home without asking my opinion first. Although the reason was for my good, still I was not ready to accept another woman filling our family structure.

"Where did you go home at this hour?" tanya followed me into the house. "Who was that?"

"Style."

Papa whistled, it sucks. In this tenuous situation, Papa tried to joke.

"Jaya's Sophia's sister huh?"

"Hu 'um. I went to a cousin's bond-eating event."

The top of my head was patted slowly. When he looked up, Papa was smiling proudly at me. The same smile when I got the three maths awards.

"good. People have to adapt here. Especially with brothers. How's it going in there?"

I covered my lips before saying, "Look at them, I remember my friends in Canada. When are we going back to Canada, Pa?"

Switching off the conversation, where might I tell the story of my existence being exiled. Not only that, I still consider other countries as home.

Papa wet his lips. "Well, you can call your friends there anytime. Now, dude, find a friend here first, okay? Count added friends of different countries, add relations. Later, if there is time, there is a windfall, we can visit there."

Visited. There is no hope of settling there. I once stole Papa's conversation with Mr. Toomes is Billy's father, they're talking about selling our house there. I'm a little disappointed Papa left his comfortable life there just for the sake of his childhood memories. Papa quite understood what I was feeling, immediately embracing my shoulder. After that, our relationship improved.

The woman in red in front of the forbidden door looked at us flat. She was still with long hair and strands of jasmine flowers. Now I can see him in every corner of the house.

Considering the woman's treatment of that jasmine smell on my neck has always been scary. He was going to kill me. If you're not careful, I'm probably dead.
