Brutal Family

Brutal Family
Part 6 Secrets

I'm back in this state. Hear ?? people talk when the eyelids are unable to open completely. Papa sat down to bow his head by my side, grasping my hand as if left behind would disappear. While they are very disturbing. Elevating each other's voice without caring about their vocal cords might break. I'm worried about Papa. Always because of me, my beloved man is terrified.

"You're in charge of the security of that room. Why am I being blamed?"

"I told you, lock that room back if you're done with your business."

"Hey look here who's blaming who, you should blame that kid. He always behaves as he pleases. Now what? He's hard, we're hard."

"Well, you don't know anything, you should be more careful. Why are you always so late?!"

"Taking care of a child is not bad."

"ENOUGH!!"

I finally lost Papa's warm grip. They shut up after getting Papa's shot. I myself have never heard of this angry Papa. It is true the saying goes, the anger of the patient is the scariest.

"You guys still do that crazy thing, huh? Why should my son be involved? From the beginning I never agreed y'all–" Papa's voice wavered a little, "arghhh, why don't you guys just stop?"

Papa ....

I wanted to reach her hand to stay seated by my side. But to move the fingertips alone is not able to.

"If we stop. You know Linga, what's going to happen. It's about our descendants. Life bet. He could've eaten me, you, us, or even your son."

The conversation of the people in this room is getting chaotic, the direction of their conversation I do not understand. I can no longer bear the headache that whack also pain all over the body. Then my consciousness was completely lost seeing Papa's departure.

Breathing blows over the surface of the skin. The cold is slow. It's likely that Papa's been looking after me all night to fall asleep.

I heard a whisper in the closet door. There's a little gap there, dark.

My blurry gaze gradually recovered, someone definitely not Papa lying on his head. A woman stared blankly with my lifeless eyes. He chews something. Don't know what. His mouth is covered in red. Then the smell of water ran. Through his hand which was also covered in a red viscous liquid, he tried to touch my face. Suddenly I moved to keep my distance, falling on the floor.

The woman crawled quickly from the bed to corner my back against the wall. I heard an indistinct murmur inversely proportional to the rhythm of my hunting breath. My eyes widened, seeing how his eyes were all white. Some of our fuses looked at him, he was ringing wide.

I screamed loudly, not only was this woman terrifying, the long-haired woman from the forbidden room was in my room as well. She stood next to the wardrobe, her clasping fingers stroking her hair slowly gathered on the left side.

"Father!"

Finally my voice came out.

The rose welcomes the first vision. I was rising up on the bed. My body was almost bathed in sweat.

"Una!" A cheerful little voice jumped onto the bed. "Asian. Una is awake."

So it was just dreaming?

"Sophia? Why are you–aw-" Oh my God, my back hurts so much.

"Sir Una, don't go into Grandma's room again. Scared." Sophia cross-leggedly ignored my pained groans. The little boy had a chin.

I rotated my eyeballs, my frustration with this child had not run out after the incident the other day. Ua Rinanti said Sophia was only doing what her cousin's sisters said. Because in this family there are no peers that Sophia can play with. Still shouldn't be that thick.

"Mr ...." My cry broke like a child can't stand the pain.

Sophia frantically ran out of the room, before long she returned with a lead on Papa. Papa's worried face was the first I saw, his steps were wide ahead of Sophia's. Papa rubbed my head, peeked at my forehead many times. Along with that my tears do not stop flowing.

"Pa," call me hoarse.

"Where is sick? For the same pain Papa, Unga."

"Papa, Unga is afraid," Papa returned my gaze hard to interpret, my body being carried into his arms. I drowned in Papa's chest, listening to his heartbeat. I'm still given a chance to see Papa.

"Don't be afraid. There's Papa."

"Want to go home, Pa. To Canada."

After being found unconscious in a forbidden room, the extended family suddenly tightened the guard of the room. Now the door is locked. Only people with Ua Hanggara's permission can get in there.

They can no longer hide the strangeness of this family. The scars of the incident were around the neck, circular bruises. Check women are real and not playful. I'm getting more and more convinced, there's something bigger than this considering the conversation the Papa brothers had when I was half conscious. Papa can't dodge what I'm going through is no ordinary nightmare.

Every day I was forbidden to be alone. Mr. Budi was assigned to take me to school. My movements have always been controlled by Papa's family.

From that day on, I felt strange. I was often unconscious all of a sudden. Occasions that make no sense often I experience. Like answering someone's question, a moment later that person disappeared from my sight. In short, I could see those that normal humans shouldn't see. They started calling me leumpeuh yuni. Have a weak mind.

This situation affects Papa, the more the day looks thin. The burden of his mind increased because of my condition. Whenever we had the chance to talk, I always avoided it. Papa is the same, will not believe what I see and feel. I feel like the world is creeping away.

"Well, this is Aunt Renata."

One Sunday morning, Papa brought a bespectacled woman home. I know, Papa's working out what's best for me. Bringing a psychologist only makes me feel that Papa also thinks his son is not sane. It hurt my pride.

"Hi Bungah, I'm Renata."

I did not warmly return his greeting. Just get up from the back porch of the house, carrying the kittens of Sophia's giving village. The boy promised to share whatever he had as long as it was forgivable to me, and I asked Sophia's beloved cat. He gave it away for free.

"Polite money with Aunt Renata."

Papa half jerking. Renata immediately stood up rubbing Papa's arm, "It's okay, Mas."

The Nina–cat in my lap jumped out of the house. I snorted, Papa really scared Nina. I tried to call the cat towards her. There, Papa blocked my hand to the redness.

"huh. Listen to what Papa said just now?"

"Yes, Pa," I said lazily, glancing at my hand in the air. "But Unga's hands hurt..."

Aware of his actions, Papa's sharp look softened, took off the grip and rubbed his face rough. " I'm sorry Papa, Unga."

I just nodded at a glance, Papa has been a bit of a mess lately. Not wanting to add to the burden of his mind, I also grabbed the hand of Papa's friend. "Hello Auntie."

Renata smiled gently. Reminds me of Mama.

Three days ago, Mama actually married a German girl without me, and the show went on as I thought. I always refuse his call. Then Papa's extended family linked my condition to our family's problems. He said I had a fight because there was no mother. How was it eight years earlier? My life was normal without my mother. Why is it so easy for the general public to conclude something? I'm actually miris.

Renata just said hello, the rest chatted on the terrace with Papa. I saw fish in the pond. If Sophia comes, I'll have her look for Nina.

Hearing Papa's story, it seems like Renata agrees that I'm greeting the other side of my teenage years. Evaporating emotions because we see the incompleteness of our family structure. The transition of children to a more adult level. Fair behavior, he said.

The woman's opinion can certainly fit into Papa's logic. Clearly, Renata a psychologist can analyze using his knowledge. Papa will listen to Renata longer than the fantasy story I experienced.

Suddenly I did not like the presence of the psychologist. He's affecting Papa.

I'm afraid Papa doesn't agree but likes Renata.

"Una!" Sophia passed in front of my house waving her hands.

He was standing on a bicycle that was going slowly. Someone brought that bike. I spread the net, knowing who Sophia was being hugged. HER.

"Purpose! Where you going?" papa's scream stopped me from chasing Sophia.

Papa stood anxiously on the porch of the house, about to run after me but Renata restrained her arm. My eyeballs are spinning, you know.

Stepping over the fence, I gave Papa a wave of hands. "Main used to be Sophia, Pa."

And find out who he is. Why be with Sophia and why she knows Kak Heman. Lots of questions for him. Most importantly, I wanted to ask for clarity on her attitude at school.

Dead-end questions spurred my feet after the driver of the bike.
