Chapter 18

Arriving at the building, Kai is surprised to see many invited guests already waiting for him. While Jeni looks confused staring at Kai.

"Kai, come here.." Jeni pulls Kai by the hand, and asks his brother for permission to talk to Kai for one eye before his fiancee does.

Inside a different room, Jeni tried to explain the difficult situation she was in.

"You set me up on purpose, didn't you?" Kai asked, looking at Jeni, full of doubts about what he said first.

"I didn't set you up" Jeni said. "I don't want this engagement, but believe me, all this I'm doing is for you and Reinz." Obviously Jeni.

Kai was speechless, looking for solemnity in both of Jeni's eyeballs.

"Think about it." said Jeni again.

Kai tried to digest all of Jeni's words. The next second he nodded his head in agreement.

"But remember, I don't love you. You and I are just friends." Kai said reminding.

Jeni nodded her head, then she grabbed Kai's hands and held them tightly. Convince Kai that everything will be fine. This engagement is one of the best ways.

"Trust and follow my words, then be responsible for you." Once again Jeni reassured Kai.

"All right.."

Kai eventually agrees and trusts Jeni completely. After which, the two of them walked out of the room to meet the invited guests.

While in the courtyard of the building, Reinz had just pulled over his car. He rushes out of the car to catch up with Kai. But just a few steps, Agatha's men confronted Reinz.

"Surge!" Reinz exclaimed, both of his hands clenched, his eyes sharp.

But the two men did not touch him. The two of them advanced, crashing into Reinz's body.

"Bukkk! Bukk!!

"Buck!!" The man from behind hit Reinz's back and staggered forward, pulling the collar and slamming Reinz's stomach with his knee.

"Buck!"

Fresh blood flowed from Reinz's mouth to wet his neck and clothes. Reinz tried to stand with a stagger he ran and beat one by one Agatha's men mercilessly.

One by one collapsed, Reinz ran into the building and Agatha's men tried to block but his efforts were in vain. Reinz tried to break through the invited guests and make a noise.

Jimi and Sojin were surprised to see Reinz's face battered in the bloodstains, as well as Jeni and Kai.

"KAIY..!!!"

Reinz yelled out to Kai with glassy eyes to see Kai pin the ring on Jeni's ring finger.

"Reinz!" Kai runs towards Reinz, but Agatha confronts him with the help of one of his men.

Jimi walked up to Reinz in Sojin's path, then glanced sharply at Agatha.

"Are you the one who did all this, cake?" Ask Jimi.

Agatha just kept quiet with angry eyes towards Reinz.

"Kaiy..!!!"

Reinz screamed again, with tears flowing down his cheeks. But no one knew because the tears turned blood red.

"Reinz.." said Kai lirih.

Reinz shook his head many times as he rubbed the dripping blood at the corner of his lips. His heart was more broken than the pain in his body. Slowly Reinz walked backwards and then turned his back on invited guests running out of the building, leaving the engagement of a friend he loved so much.

"I don't believe anything.anything." Reinz murmured inwardly.
