Bridal Flowers
Season II: Part 20

"Safira, don't take a nap. Will soon enter prayer time asar-"

"I'm not sleeping anymore." Cut the cold Sapphira. Waking up from his sleep, Sapphira sat himself on the bed.

Mira was a little surprised by Sapphira's sudden change in attitude, not usually this cold Sapphira to Mira.

"Whether you took a nap, the end of the time I entered was my greeting, why didn't you answer?" After finishing business with his mother, Mira then did not want to linger and immediately returned to their room. Intentionally, Mira wanted to talk about her Mama's orders to Sapphira but when she saw Safira's cold attitude, Mira thought this conversation should be postponed first.

Mira did not say anything with the matter and directly threw Mira's diary onto the floor indifferently. Seeing her diary being treated badly, Mira suddenly has a bad feeling about this. He wondered if Sapphira had read what he had written there?

Picking up her book, Mira then sat herself on her bed and positioned herself facing Sapphira who was now staring at her flat, seemingly unconcerned. Mira was afraid of this gaze because Safira only used this dislike gaze to the person with whom she was troubled. Back then Reina, Safira did not even blink her eyes when faced with Reina.

"Safira, why did you throw away my book?" Despite the panic, Mira tries to keep her composure in front of Safira. He was sure that if Sapphira was in a bad mood due to another matter, well.he kept saying this in his heart even though Mira knew that these words were only to deceive herself.

Hearing Mira's silly question, the corner of Sapphira's lips then moved sideways. Responding to Mira with her scornful smile that was very sickening. Safira has been fed up with Mira's theatrics all this time.

A pal?

Hah, don't make her want to laugh because any normal person knows that Mira is close to her just because she wants to. It's just like the trash out there, sickening and very disturbing.

"Why did I throw away your book?" Safira asked in a mocking tone, not covering up at all would her displeasure towards Mira.

"Why don't you ask yourself that question, Mira, why would I throw your book on the floor?"

Ah, answered already. Safira must have read the book. If not, then why is he this angry with her?

Sighing deeply, Mira put her book on the bed and after that she improved her sitting position as comfortable as possible. Uniting her two trembling hands, Mira tried to convince herself to explain all of this to Sapphira. He did not want Sapphira to be angry or stay away from him because far from his heart Sapphira was his family.

"Safira, I think you misunderstood." His voice wants to explain.

Raising one of his eyebrows, Safira of course did not accept his understanding in a trivial by Mira because anyone must know how intelligent he is here.

"Do you think I'm stupid? Obviously in the book you wrote that you were in love with Aldo." Sapphira said coldly, her two eyes even stared at the sinister pale face of Mira that looked like she was lacking blood.

"Yes, you're right if I write that-"

"And now you have admitted it." Cut sick. Hah, his heart was currently completely enraged by the betrayal Mira had committed to him. Though he already considered Mira his best friend but instead of being grateful even this reply he received?

So nauseating!

"Mira, didn't you promise not to stab me yesterday?"

Mira was stunned, her current gaze suddenly became blurry. "Yes, I promised." Mira felt guilty.

Don't think, "Then why did you break that promise? Secretly liking the person I like, did you know that this act could destroy my relationship with Aldo. Not only that, this act of yours can also destroy our friendship and as the person you betrayed I will not hesitate to break with you."

Sapphira no longer had trust with him because it was useless, once he broke the promise then the next promises will be the same fate. Deciding on friendship was not difficult because when Saqila was like this nor did Sapphira hesitate to fight her, so Sapphira was used to the evil deeds of those closest to her.

"I have decided to forget Mas Aldo so I beg Safira, forgive me. You can't break our friendship, I-"

"If your mistake is not as fatal as this maybe I will forgive you but unfortunately your actions have greatly offended me. Hah, it's only fitting that when you meet Mas Aldo your attitude becomes more docile and timid. It turns out that the reason behind it is all because you like it too, Mira.believe it or not today you've managed to make me hate you."

Deg

Mira froze when she heard it, those extremely frightening words Safira finally let out as well. Mira never thought that this mistake made Sapphira very angry with her, but even though it was wrong, did Mira not promise to stay away from Aldo?

He even tried to bring Sapphira and Aldo closer so that their relationship would work better. Mira does so, sacrificing her feelings for their friendship in addition to knowing that Safira and Aldo already like each other.

After doing all that Safira still thought it was wrong, Mira really did not understand this.

"You can't do that, hicks..." Withstanding her strong sobbing, Mira tries to melt Sapphira's heart.

"Although I like Mas Aldo but I did not fight for it and did not insist on seizing Mas Aldo from you. I chose to give in to our friendship and I also know that the person Mas Aldo likes is you, so please don't say those scary words again. To me you are family here." Mira pleads sadly, trying to soften Safira's heart. He did not want to lose Sapphira because here he had no one else. Everyone has gone with their happiness.

"Not fighting for your feelings? To give up on our friendship?" Laughing out loud, Safira really could not help but laugh freely and loosely. Why is this guy so funny?

What does he think if Safira is a 2-year-old who understands nothing?

"You mean secretly approaching Mas Aldo, don't you?" Waving his right hand. "I knew that was your goal all along. Pretending to help me get closer to him but at the same time steal the start from me and start attracting the attention of Mas Aldo. Mira, I never thought you'd be this hypocritical."

"No. I never really thought to do that Sapphira, by Allah.."

Safira wakes up from her seat, grabbing a mini suitcase that she has filled with all her clothes, Safira is no longer interested in staying with Mira.

"Mira, that's enough. Do not bring the names of God here, for the hypocrite will never know how great a consequence he will have if he carries the name of God in your despicable business."

Dragging her suitcase out, Safira did not care about the pleading cry from Mira behind her. Until finally he plans to keep his distance from Mira.

"Mira, if you truly regret your actions, I hope you make up for it by keeping your distance from Mas Aldo. Because then at least I'll forgive you." Ending her with a cold smile, Safira then opened the door of their room while dragging her mini suitcase.

While walking away, Safira reminded Mira of their relationship status from now on.

"Because we are not friends anymore then I hope in the future you do not need to greet me when we accidentally meet. Act as if we don't know each other because I will treat you that way. Mira, good-bye." Safira said, leaving Mira who could only sit weakly on the floor, crying over the fate of her friendship with Safira which had been destroyed leaving nothing but short memories.

Leaving, Safira is gone and now Mira is alone again. Maybe she should consider her mother's offer to return home. At least, there he can start a new life again that he hopes.

"Dea, I know you're not that kind of person." Once out of his disciplinary office, Dea was greeted with worried faces of his roommates.

The feeling of pain and fatigue that had burdened him slowly began to decrease when he saw there were many people who still cared about him.

Dea smiled faintly, implying that she was very exhausted and needed rest. Seeing Dea's lethargic expression, they no longer let out a sound and wondered what had really happened to Dea. However, they all understandingly brought it home to their dormitories.

On the way back to the dormitory, they were all quieter and actually sad enough to see one of their roommates having to receive a heavy punishment from the boarding school. Even though they knew Dea was not a good person back then but it was different from now, moreover Dea had never committed any acts of violence thus making them unsure about the news spreading. They do not believe that their roommate is accused of committing a violent act on Fatimah's ustadzah. Well, though they also believed that the Fatimah Ustad would not attack Dea.

I don't know, they just need to wait for an explanation from Dea alone to clarify all the news.

Arriving in the room, they immediately locked the door of their room and quietly sat around Dea who was sitting comfortably on his bed.

"I'm sorry guys, I've let you all down.." Dea did not know why she suddenly cried like this because when she saw her friends staring worriedly at her, the pain and hurt that she felt earlier this afternoon came back again.

He was sick and desperate about everything that happened, but he explained it but no one would listen. Dea was afraid, afraid that those who would befriend her would stay away from her again. Leaving him in a very sickening despair, Dea did not want to be caught in that phase anymore.

Sensing Dea's unstable emotions, Ririn then took the initiative to pat Dea's back warmly. Providing a short entertainment but full of calm. "Dea, whatever you've done whether it's right or wrong you'll never be mad at you. Even more it makes us all excited to change you for the better, do you understand?"

Dea nodded hesitantly, quite surprised by the response of her friends.

"So, can you tell us what really happened? We have no intention of offending you when asking for this because as a person close to you, we do not want to listen to issues that are not necessarily true of others." Ririn explained carefully, trying to keep Dea's current feelings in check.

Dea again nodded her head, wiping away her tears Dea tried to prepare herself to start telling stories.

"When I tell you this I beg you not to scorn me for what I am about to say is my greatest secret." Dea asked everyone not to scorn her when she related her problem with Fatimah's ustadzah, because after all the source of this problem was her jealousy in Fatimah's ustadzah.

"Rest assured, we won't scorn you." Clasping Dea tightly, Masha tried to convince Dea of them all. He was relieved that Dea was finally open to everyone, which was a good move.

Nodding satisfied with Masha's assurance, he grasped Masha's hand tightly as he prepared himself to begin the story.

"I admit that I'm guilty." Subduing his head, he did not dare to see the reaction of his companions.

"I did make Fatimah's hand bloody but I didn't do it on purpose. At that time while picking vegetables I suddenly realized that I had separated from group two, when I realized I saw the ustadzah Fatimah and Ustad Aldi were busy chatting. They looked harmonious and suitable at the time, making me feel the heartache of jealousy." Setting his breath as calm as possible, Dea still had not heard any response from his friends.

"Yes, I admit that I really like ustad Aldi and that's why I am jealous of his closeness with ustadzah Fatimah. Because of jealousy I tried to be indifferent to the existence of the two of them but unfortunately Ustad Aldi did not give me a chance. He looked at me and greeted me, angry that I was trying to ignore him. Then, seeing the awkwardness of us both Fatimah ustadzah came to mediate the atmosphere between us. Actually it makes me even more angry because when I ignore the ustad Aldi, the ustadzah Fatimah actually invites him to talk again. In front of me they act like lovers and that makes me so jealous. In the cool moment they were talking, suddenly ustad Aldi got a call from someone else and told us to chat together while he went to answer the phone."

"I personally did not know the ustadzah of Fatimah and was still jealous at that time so I decided to ignore the ustadzah of Fatimah and go back to work again. Well, that's when it all happened. I who was angry had to get rid of the dead tree trunk that prevented me from picking eggplant vegetables. Indeed I had a little trouble getting rid of it but I did not want to give up, for me the opportunity was to vent my jealousy. But once again Fatimah's insanity made me angry, he said he wanted to help me but I deliberately ignored it. Perhaps because of seeing me who did not respond, Fatimah's ustadzah finally extended his hand towards the dead trunk that I was trying to get rid of using razor charter. Instead of getting rid of the trunk I hurt the hand of the Fatimah's ustadzah, so that's the story. You are the first people I tell you about and I hope you don't look down on my childish self like this."

"So it all started with jealousy.." Mumbled some sounds.

"You don't need to fear Safira because I think falling in love is natural even more so for ustad Aldi who no longer need to ask for good looks. I also understand if you still have not cultivated your patience so that it makes you easily burned angry so everything is still understandable. Dea, from your story earlier I learned an important lesson that no matter how angry you never voiced it. But you prefer to keep it to yourself, it shows that you always step into being a good person." Sighing in relief, actually this matter was just a misunderstanding and it seemed that Dea could not tell the disciplinary side. It's a secret of the heart, you know!

"Don't be discouraged Dea, if ustad Aldi is your soul mate then he will end up with you but if ustad Aldi is my soul mate then you should be prepared to endure even more jealousy!" Hearing the words of comfort from Wati, everyone immediately laughed happily. It melted the sad and tense atmosphere a few seconds ago.

"No. I've decided to forget about aldi's ustad." Dea told in her calm voice. But even though it is calm, anyone is sure that his heart is currently injured.

"Dea.. don't give up like this.." Masha felt sad to see a desperate Dea like this.

"I think this is the best move.." Dea thinks staying away from ustad Aldi is a good step because if you continue to wallow in hope there will only be heartache that awaits him. He did not want to continue like this because the pain in the heart was very much different from the physical.

I don't know, Dea was actually afraid to make ustad Aldi hate him even more. Given how angry he was, Dea decided not to bother him anymore.

"Keep about the punishment you get, is it severe?" Sensing the atmosphere returning to decline, Ririn tried to divert their conversation.

Dea calmly shook his head, "The punishment given is not at all heavy, it is just cleaning and washing the tableware you use iftar and sahur for until this Ramadan ends." Answer it calmly.

Hearing Dea's reply made them all inexhaustible. Dea is a new person who is adapting to the boarding school environment, forced to do this much menial work, of course, will make it difficult for Dea. Plus it's not about a day or two, but it's almost a month!

They're not sure if Dea can get through.

"One month? Isn't this too outrageous!. You are still not used to this place but it has been forced to do the menial work for a month, this cannot be allowed. You should protest to the lodge because the punishment you get is not worth your mistake." Ajeng really felt that the boarding house was too unfair for Dea.

They should have been able to understand and consider the state of Dea before giving the punishment!

Dea smiled faintly, feeling no objection at all. "It's okay Ajeng, after all I'm proven guilty so this punishment is not worth my mistake." Dea patiently explained, easing the anger of her friends.

"But this is too much for you." He was still complaining, he couldn't believe it.

"I don't mind at all." Quietly said. Precisely Dea felt helped by this punishment because when he was busy forgetting the ustad Aldi would be very easy.

"Alright, but we'll all help-"

"If you help then my punishment will increase again." Cut Dea relay information from the disciplinary office. If his roommate comes to his aid then his sentence will be increased again.

"Astagfirullah, I really don't believe the boarding school can be this cruel." They muttered that they did not think that the boarding house was too cruel.

This punishment was cruel, but Dea knew much better that her heartbreak was the cruelest punishment in the world for her.
