"Explain me!"

Chaerin folded his hands and looked at Ethan sharply. Ethan could only duck and wring the edge of his blanket while leaning on the bed.

Had Chaerin not gone to the hospital, Ethan's lies might not have been discovered, and Ethan would not have had to rack his brains to find another reason.

"Me and Sean had a single car accident on the highway" Ethan told a lie.

"You should have told me, how could you lie and say you went abroad on business, what am I you taking into account, if you think I'm not important, we'd better split up!"

"I don't want to worry you, after all I'm not seriously hurt" Ethan looked at Chaerin with a parched face.

Chaerin threw out a breath and clucked in annoyance.

"You call this not bad" Chaerin pointed at Ethan's hand and foot wrapped in a cast, as well as his body wrapped in bandages.

"Doctor Lim sometimes overdoes it, it's not what it seems. You saw for yourself I could even run" Ethan smiled witfully, trying to make Chaerin believe him.

Chaerin threw his breath rough, he was anxious to grumble at length and continue his debate with Ethan, but seeing Ethan's condition that it was even difficult to sit down made Chaerin try his hardest to hold back his emotions.

"I'll nag you next time" Inner Chaerin.

"OK I'll forgive you this time, and you should rest now"

Chaerin pressed a button on the remote and instantly Ethan's bed rest moved down, making the man lie down.

"The bed is wide, move it! I'm going to rest too"

Ethan with a confused face slowly shifted his body to the side letting Chaerin climb onto the bed and lie down next to him.

Chaerin hugged Ethan's arm while closing his eyes.

"Next time, no matter what happens you have to tell me, I don't want to think badly of you for misunderstanding"

"Yes" Ethan said slowly.

Ethan looked at Chaerin who was starting to fall asleep next to him.

And again he was racing, this was not the first time he slept with Chaerin but his heart was not used to it, probably never used to it if it was with Chaerin, because Chaerin makes her fall in love every day.

"I don't need anything else in this world, as long as I can stay with you" whispered Ethan softly.

Chaerin smiled, he could still hear Ethan's voice even though he was already half asleep.

"Me too" Chaerin tightened his embrace, fearing that Ethan would leave.

Sean runs straight to Ethan's nursery with his phone. On the screen there is a row of numbers without names, marked that the number was not known before.

"Master's got a phone call for you" Sean arrives in front of Ethan with a gasp. he hands Ethan the phone he's holding.

"Who?"

"Gloria Ricci"

Ethan widens his eyes and quickly picks up the phone Sean gave him.

"Wait by the door, lest Chaerin hear my talk"

Sean nodded quickly and immediately executed Ethan's command.

Outside the room, Chaerin appears with a white envelope containing Ethan's medical record. Chaerin had previously seen Lim's doctor and asked him to explain how Ethan was healthy, so Lim's doctor gave Ethan his medical records in detail, but of course they were all faked.

"Hi miss Chae" Sean waved right in front of the door.

"White, oh no Sean" Chaerin recalls Christopher being angry at him for calling Sean the white.

"I'm sure you've known the relationship Arnoldo and Chaerin had in the past, I just wanted to make things clear"

Gloria's words make Ethan waver, in fact he no longer wants to be involved with the Ricci family, but it seems Gloria will never give up if she refuses, and with such a trait it was likely that Gloria would involve Chaerin even further.

The phone is immediately disconnected. Ethan closed his eyes and grasped his phone so tightly that it made a crack at the end of his screen.

Ethan kisses Chaerin's sleeping forehead, it's Ethan's new routine before going to work, as he always wakes up faster than Chaerin.

Chaerin woke up and wriggled like a caterpillar then looked at Ethan with his narrowed eyes.

"Are you leaving?" Chaerin spoke with a raucous voice.

Chaerin got up and immediately hugged Ethan, leaning against the man's chest while closing his eyes.

"Can you not work today, let's go for a walk" Chaerin began to whine as Sean often did.

"If I don't work, who will find you money to waste?"

"You're right, we have our own duties now, you're in charge of making money, and I'm spending it" Chaerin chuckled softly.

"That's why we're so compatible"

Ethan stands up to leave, but Chaerin holds his hand and puts on a cute look that makes Ethan anxious.

If nothing mattered today, Ethan would have neglected his job and opted for a day with Chaerin.

"I'm going to your office to have lunch together"

"Sorry honey can't seem to, I have a lunch appointment with an investor" Ethan said with a dejected face.

"Male or female?"

"Why? Are you jealous of women?" Ethan's Temptation.

"I'm just asking!"

Chaerin clucked in annoyance then went back to lying down and covered himself with a blanket.

"Here gone, I want to sleep again"

Ethan smiles at Chaerin's behavior, wanting to persuade Chaerin to stop sulking, but he is in pursuit of time. Ethan plans to fix everything after he gets home.

"I'm going honey"

Ethan came out of the room waving. In front of the room Sean was ready with his suit stellan, Sean looked much neater than in previous days.

Ethan's face that had been filled with a smile immediately turned serious, he glanced at his watch and then turned to look at Sean.

"Everything is ready sir" said Sean for sure.

"When I only want to see my old grandmother, why is it like we're going to war" Ethan complains as he walks by Sean behind him.

Gloria wears an old-fashioned 90s dress in deep blue with a box-shaped collar.

He sits opposite Ethan in front of the coffee shop right by the side of the road.

Ethan had only seen Gloria from a photo 20 years ago, which was shown by Sean, Ethan was a little surprised when he saw the woman today, nothing has changed, he still looks like 20 years ago, even his skin is still very tight.

"You're so beautiful, Miss Ricci, you must have spent half of your husband's income on Botox each month" Ethan said sarcastically.

Gloria shook her head while trying to hold back her laughter.

"Thank you, you made me laugh after all this time, it looks like you should be rewarded" Gloria coughed with too much laughter.

"So Miss Ricci, what's your goal to see me today" Ethan said.

"Ah right, I met you today not for a chat. The reason you abruptly ended your relationship with Arnoldo and also disbanded the Gold Dragon was Chaerin, am I right?"

"It's almost like that, you seem to know more than your husband" Ethan smiled.

"Honestly, I totally agree with your choice, that father and son should never have been found by accident, and if Arnoldo was still in business with you, the chances of them meeting would be even greater" Gloria sipped her coffee.

"It seems more profitable if I tell Chaerin and ravage your family, and since he is a member of your family at least he can get half of Arnoldo's fortune, I married a rich woman"

Chaerin stood his back to Ethan and Gloria while looking in all directions with a restless face.

"Why are you here?"  Ethan pulls Chaerin back so that she turns around and faces him but Chaerin insists on not wanting to turn around.

"There are snipers around here, and they're aiming at you both" Chaerin said.

Gloria looked at Ethan for a moment and smiled.

"Your wife is so funny" whispered Gloria right next to Ethan's ear.

"We need to get out of here"

Chaerin pulls Ethan and Gloria into the car. Before Chaerin also got into the car once again he looked around to see the situation, when it felt safe, Chaerin rushed into the car and told Christina to leave the place.

"I didn't expect your job to be much riskier than me being a gangster" Chaerin said as he turned to look back.

"Yes, there are many competitors who will benefit if we die" Gloria lied and followed the path Chaerin believed in.

"You have to find somewhere else to talk, why not go to Ethan's office, and it's safer there" Chaerin said.

"Our talk is actually over, you can take me to the hotel, I'm tired and need a break"

Chaerin immediately nodded quickly and immediately ordered Christina who was next to him to take the car towards the hotel.

Ethan gets out of the car to drive Gloria, while Chaerin is still in the car with Christina.

Ethan drives the car very fast, freaking Chaerin out and holding his seatbelt tight.

"Ethan, you want us dead!" Shouted Chaerin.

"Never do that again!" Ethan was screaming too.

"Whatchu mean? Why are you angry, you should thank me for saving your life"

Ethan stepped on the brake pedal deeply making a loud squeaking sound due to the friction of the tires and asphalt, Chaerin crashed forward violently and his head hit the dashboard until injured.

"Ethan!"

"Sound I'm fine!" Ethan gripped Chaerin's shoulder firmly and stared straight at the woman's bead.

"You can do whatever you want whatever you want, but never interfere in my affairs, and never try to protect me, because I will protect you!"

Chaerin looked at Ethan in fear, as well as confusion, what exactly made Ethan so angry with him?

Chaerin nodded weakly and Ethan quickly released his grip.

No talk on the way home. Ethan also looked calmer and there was no more anger on his face.
