Chapter 4 Betawi Cultural Show at Ismail Marzuki Park (TIM)
Ismail Marzuki Park (TIM) was built on an area of approximately eight hectares. The opening was inaugurated directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta at that time, Ali Sadikin, on November 10, 1968. Originally this land was a public recreation room of Taman Raden Saleh, as well as the Jakarta zoo (currently moved to Ragunan).
Later, Ali Sadikin turned this area into an art center so that Jakarta artists can work. The name Ismail Marzuki was chosen for the award as an artist from Betawi (Jakarta) who has been credited with creating more than 200 songs, including songs of the struggle of the nation, such as Halo-Halo Bandung, Berkibarlah Benderaku, among others, Waving Nyiur and a Pair of Ball Eyes.

Lenong is a traditional theater art or Betawi folk theater performed in Betawi dialect originating from Jakarta, Indonesia.
This traditional art is accompanied by kromong gambang music with musical instruments such as gambang, kromong, gong, drum, kempor, flute, and kecola, as well as Chinese elemental musical instruments such as tehyan, kongahyang, and sukong.

Cross doors are a tradition that became part of the wedding ceremony of the Betawi community. The doorstop combines martial arts with pantun literary art.
