BETWEEN THE CEO AND THE MAFIA
Obstacles

"This time answer honestly, yes. I'm gonna ask this one last time. Are you sure you want to marry Prita?"

Irgi sat back on the couch smoking a cigarette and then exhaled his smoke through his mouth. This time he was in Ayash's office.

Ayash leaned his back against his soft chair, "What do I have to answer for you to believe?"

"Your marriage is just a few days away. There's still time to step back if you're not ready to accept Prita."

Ayash was silent for a moment, "I've thought about it many times and my feelings still remain the same."

"You also have to think ahead, not just for now. What if one day your family finds out that Prita's child isn't your child?"

"Whatever happens I'll always be on Prita's side."

"Good! I'll feel calm if anyone can take care of Prita."

"If I hadn't married Prita, what would you have done? Are you going to marry her?"

Irgi chuckled, "They'll be angry when they hear this."

"Perhaps, if Prita told me to marry her, I'd agree."

"Wo.. culas."

"I said it because it couldn't happen. Prita would definitely choose to raise her own child instead of asking me to marry her."

"Prita said a few days ago Bayu met her."

Irgi jerks. He immediately moved to sit in front of Ayash's desk.

"I had expected that one day he would come back. I told you too what, you guys just go abroad. It's not safe here."

"I still have to do the wedding here. At least to honor my parents."

"Why stop?"

Bayu protested when he felt the truck he was riding suddenly stopped. The truck in front of him stopped as well.

"It looks like we're being confronted by an outback tribe, boss." replied the driver.

In Bayu's heart grumbled. He has finished the job completely. The weapon was sent to his destination. When it was time to go home, there were even obstacles from local residents. He was impatient to reach the city area to get internet access.

His blood rippled, his emotions peaking towards the bullies blocking his path. Want him to slaughter all that slows his way back to Prita.

It had been hard for him to hold back for five days without the usual comfort he enjoyed, especially the telephone network, for the sake of his duties. Only the forest and forest could he see every day.

"Let's get out there and face them!" his orders.

Bayu takes the M-16 which he keeps under the car seat. I can't wait to play with them.

Ben stopped Bayu's hand as he was about to open the truck door. "Don't be rash, boss. Usually they carry poisoned arrows or spears."

Bayu smiled disdainfully, "Why be afraid? We have a lot of guns."

"In the truck in front of the guy we're trying a discussion. Who knows with fellow people the area could finish peacefully."

Bayu crossed his arms hugging the M-16 while focusing on seeing his men in the front truck trying to negotiate.

"Do they want to intercept people in the middle of the road?"

"I don't know. Sometimes someone wants to steal."

"Huh! Plunder what? this truck has sand. They think we're transporting gold?"

They continued to pay attention to the members of the entourage and the people of the tribe who seemed to be having a tough discussion. The men looked angry and cornered the members of the entourage.

Jem!

One of Bayu's men was hit by an arrow. The commotion is inevitable.

"Bring guns! Slaughter them all! Goddamn it!" aphat Bayu while opening the door of the truck that blocked him.

Arrows began to fly from various directions. It seems like they number more than Bayu imagined.

"Be careful Boss, the arrows they use are poisonous."

"I knew. Primitive people are wasting my time."

"Light the truck lights! Shoot them all to the ground!"

The truck lights are turned on. Every time a shadow of the enemy was caught, they immediately shot.

The arrows are still flying. Some members of the group were hit by arrows.

Jleb's sret!

"Aah!" yoke when one of the arrows hit his right shoulder.

"Boss!" Ben immediately ran towards Bayu.

Again unlucky for Bayu, must be exposed to enemy weapons. With all his strength he held the handle of the arrow that stuck in his body then pulled it strong.

"Aah!" strangled again when the arrow was lifted.

Don't ask me again how it feels, it hurts so much. However, Bayu was already used to enduring such pain.

"We need to get out of here, boss. If it takes too long, they'll call out to their more friends."

Ben helps drive Bayu back up in the truck. His other men still remained vigilant shooting at the enemy in sight.

"Continue traveling!" yelled Ben as an aba-aba ordered his men back on the truck.

Several injured members of the group were taken aboard the truck. Meanwhile, those who died, were left just like that. The path had already opened up again, the arrows that floated towards them were decreasing in number.

The truck is back on its way. Ben helps Bayu remove his clothes to see the part of the shoulder that was hit by the arrow.

Fresh blood is still pouring out. The wound looks pretty deep. Ben took the medicine from his bag. The medicine was an anti-poison potion that he had deliberately prepared in anticipation of such things.

Bayu grimaced in pain as Ben cleaned his wound and applied medicine. Sensation of pain radiates throughout the body.

"Ehhh..huh!" snarl.

Bayu's breath gasping. Cold sweat washed all over his body. He felt weak and helpless. He leaned his head against the windowpanes, looking at the trees in the dark of the night.

"You should rest because the effect of the medicine will make you sleepy."

"In hindsight, I was often unlucky. Why do people's weapons like to stick to my body." muttered Bayu.

"But you're always safe. It means your body is strong."

"Have you ever been hurt, Ben?"

"Earlier. My body has more scars than yours."

Bayu smirked, "Surprisingly you still feel at home working in a world like this even though you already know the risk of disability or death."

"All jobs have their own risks."

"Do you have any intention of quitting?"

Ben was silent for a moment. "For now it seems not."

"If you are alone?"

"I've never liked living like this. Maybe I should kill my father if I want to quit his world."

"I want a regular life like everyone else."

Suddenly Bayu again remembered to Prita. Imagine them being one family and having several children. Prita made breakfast as she was about to leave for work and greeted her with a hug as she returned home. Then the cute kids who always stick spoiled to her. So pleasant is such a quiet life.

She lost her childhood and adolescence because of her father. At least he can get an adult as expected. He wants to live with Prita and be separated from his father's confinement.
