Dinda took a deep breath before answering the question. Dinda looked at Imah. With complete confidence he said.
"Before I knew Fariz's infamy, I loved him very much. It doesn't matter whether I love him or not. I've been his rightful wife, so I should devote myself to Fariz."
"It should not be necessary that Madam Dinda marry Mas Fariz. It is fitting that Fariz should accept God's punishment." Let's spill his irritation.
Dinda felt that something had happened. "Has Fariz ever been mean to you?" Dinda tried to find information from Imah.
Her eyes glazed over, a tear running down her cheek.
"Mas Fariz Evil Ma'am....."
He did not continue his words. There seems to be a very heavy burden on him. Maybe Imah hesitated to say what she had experienced to Dinda. Because they just got to know and weren't too close.
Dinda patted Imah's shoulder. "I don't know what I've been through. Be brave to get justice."
Dinda tried to comfort Mama. Though actually the words of motivation are aimed at himself. He still could not understand what he was really going through. Everything felt so sudden and until now he had not been able to accept such a bitter reality.
"Mbak Dinda, what is my power. I'm just a maid. I did not graduate from Elementary School. How can I get justice. I'm still employed in this house already very lucky." Wove his fingers.
Dinda was convinced that Imah was being mistreated by Fariz. He was very curious, but on the other side of his heart he was afraid to hear Fariz's rot that would hurt him more.
Dinda was silently pensively reminded of her best friend Dina. Why is a very close friendship, cut off so easily because of a man? He was like a brother to her. Suddenly hated him for just a misunderstanding.
Dinda was very sorry, knowing Fariz or Toni. Both men are equally bad. He did not expect that the two men had ruined his life.
Dinda also remembered Ridho, the man who had snatched away her honor. If he compares, he's better than Fariz. If she had the chance to choose, she would rather choose Ridho to be her husband.
Ridho appreciated her more. And he believes Ridho's actions to him are not a coincidence. Ridho was also a sincere man.
Dinda took a long breath. Why is his life so bad. As if God was not content to see the sadness of his heart after losing his father, mother, he also lost his freedom forever.
Why would God allow himself to be slandered for a vice he never did?
Why didn't God just punish Fariz or Toni?
Dinda recalled Fariz's current state, his post-crash disability made Fariz heavily dependent on wheelchairs. There's a feeling of pity for him. He could not deny, if in the depths of his heart, there was still a feeling of love for Fariz.
Had Fariz apologized and treated her well, she would have served her husband fully as a good wife.
"Mhrs ... Fariz has a lot of girlfriends behind Dinda." Says Imah suddenly.
Dinda immediately turned to look at the look on the face of Imah. He was trying to see honesty. Whether Imah was honest with him or just doused gasoline in his heart that had been injured.
"Yes Ma'am, Mas Fariz has a couple of girlfriends. Some have even been taken home when the Lord and the madam went out of town." Imah tries to convince Dinda who seems to doubt him.
"I caught them having sex in Fariz's room." Imah said again in a soft voice, as if afraid to hear the person behind the wall.
"Imah.it may be a part of Fariz's past. I believe Fariz sooner or later must have turned into a responsible husband." Dinda tried to believe her own words.
"Mbak Dinda's... Fariz is worse than Toni." Imah sighed in anger in her despair.
Says Dinda lost her patience. He believes Imah holds a big secret.
"Mbak. He's a very mean and cunning man." May vented her hatred.
Dinda has completely lost her patience. He soon got out of bed and approached Imah.
"Tell me the truth, huh, what did Fariz do to you?" Dinda cast a threatening eye on Imah.
Imah was horrified to see the change in Dinda's attitude. He hesitated to tell Fariz of his crimes.
It just shakes. "Mbak Dinda. Even if I say it now, Dinda wouldn't believe me." Says Imah sad.
"Well, if you don't want to say. Now don't say anything that makes Fariz worse!" Threaten Dinda firmly on Imah.
I nodded faintly. He did not think that Dinda did not believe him. He just wanted to help Dinda not be played by Fariz. He was disappointed with Dinda's attitude. He decided to leave Dinda.
"My mother goes back to the room, if there's anything you need call me."
Without waiting for an answer, Imah left Dinda alone in the room.
Dinda was pensive again, was she overreacting? Maybe I mean well to warn him. However, Fariz's current crippled state must have made him realize his mistake.
"Hopefully Fariz could be a good husband." Please Dinda.
Dinda was also determined to forget Fariz's guilt. He wants to make his new life. Status as a wife.
Dinda immediately got out of bed. He had to see Fariz, because the man was his legal husband to serve. He will also explain the misunderstanding that occurred this afternoon.
Dinda left the maid's room. He wanted to see Fariz in his room.
Dinda knocked on Fariz's room, but there was no answer. He also ventured to open the door slowly. Fariz's room was pitch dark.
"Fariz.... Fariz.... " Call her slowly. While he was looking for a wall outlet. Before long he found the outlet and immediately turned on the lights.
Fariz's room was empty and still in good order. Dinda looked for Fariz in the bathroom, the place was also empty.
"Fariz.. Where are you?" Instantly there was a feeling of anxiety in his heart. Fear of something happening to her husband.
Dinda wanted to find Fariz to all parts of the house. But he felt bad when he met his father-in-law. She eventually decided to wait for Fariz in the room until her husband returned.
Dinda sat on the sofa. He intended to turn on the television, but yesterday's incident made him undo the intention of watching television.
Dinda circulated her gaze throughout Fariz's room space. In one corner there is a bookshelf, full of neatly arranged books.
Dinda picks up a novel, she takes it to the sofa intending to read it while waiting for Fariz to arrive.
A piece of paper fell off. Dinda immediately picked it up. It turned out to be a photo.
Dinda was very surprised to see the picture in the photo.
